2025 College Football Playoff Odds: Which Teams Have Best Odds in New Format?

The 2025-26 College Football season kicks off in a little more than two months. Like last year, the College Football Playoff will feature a 12-team format. Seeds No. 1 through 4 will earn first-round byes, while Nos. 5 through 12 play each other in that first round. However, in 2025, the top four seeds in the 12-team field will be the top-four ranked teams instead of the four highest-ranked conference championship game winners. So with 12 spots up for grabs, bettors are diving into the odds for which teams they think will secure a berth and which ones will be on the outside looking in. Remember, this market is all about who gets in — not who wins it all. With that in mind, let's check out some of those odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 20. To Make the 2025-26 College Football Playoffs Ohio StateYes: -500 (bet $10 to win $12 total) No: +340 (bet $10 to win $44 total) OregonYes: -300 (bet $10 to win $13.33 total) No: +220 (bet $10 to win $32 total) TexasYes: -350 (bet $10 to win $12.86 total) No: +250 (bet $10 to win $35 total) Penn StateYes: -300 (bet $10 to win $13.33 total) No: +220 (bet $10 to win $32 total) GeorgiaYes:-250 (bet $10 to win $14 total) No: +190 (bet $10 to win $29 total) AlabamaYes: -200 (bet $10 to win $15 total) No: +155 (bet $10 to win $25.50 total) ClemsonYes: -175 (bet $10 to win $15.71 total) No: +135 (bet $10 to win $23.50 total) Notre DameYes: -190 (bet $10 to win $15.26 total) No: +145 (bet $10 to win $24.50 total) Texas A&MYes: +190 (bet $10 to win $29 total) No: -250 (bet $10 to win $14 total) Boise StateYes: +190 (bet $10 to win $29 total) No: -250 (bet $10 to win $14 total) Kansas StateYes: +280 (bet $10 to win $38 total) No: -400 (bet $10 to win $12.50 total) TennesseeYes: +300 (bet $10 to win $40 total) No: -425 (bet $10 to win $12.35 total) BaylorYes: +400 (bet $10 to win $50 total) No: -600 (bet $10 to win $11.67 total) Georgia TechYes: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total) No: -800 (bet $10 to win $11.25 total) BYUYes: +425 (bet $10 to win $52.50 total) No: -650 (bet $10 to win $11.54 total) USCYes: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total) No: -800 (bet $10 to win $11.25 total) TCUYes: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total) No: -1400 (bet $10 to win $10.71 total) Iowa StateYes: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total) No: -1400 (bet $10 to win $10.71 total) MissouriYes: +800 (bet $10 to win $90 total) No: -1600 (bet $10 to win $10.63 total) NebraskaYes: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total) No: -1800 (bet $10 to win $10.56 total) WashingtonYes: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total) No: -1800 (bet $10 to win $10.56 total) Last season, the 12 teams that made the Playoff were Oregon, Georgia, Boise State, Arizona State, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Indiana, SMU and Clemson. And as the committee moves forward in 2025 with changes regarding how it seeds, FOX Sports Lead College Football Analyst Joel Klatt noted that the "wonky" process needed to improve. "Boise State and Arizona State got first-round byes. Oregon, the only undefeated team entering the CFP, got a bum draw and had to play Ohio State in the quarterfinals," Klatt wrote. "That model wasn't great and penalized the top-seeded team rather than rewarding them. We want to avoid that." And for bettors looking for expert analysis on which teams will finish in the top 10 next season, Klatt's way-too-early projection includes Michigan, LSU, Miami Hurricanes, Clemson, Notre Dame, Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas and Penn State. Alabama to Host 4-Star QB That Recently Decommited From CFP Program

Alabama to Host 4-Star QB That Recently Decommited From CFP Program originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Since the dawn of 247Sports, the Alabama Crimson Tide has had 19 four-star or better quarterbacks commit to their program. Of the 19 top prospects, two currently reside on the 2025 rendition of Alabama's roster: veteran Ty Simpson and dual-threat signal-caller Keelon Russell. Advertisement Once regarded as a defensive force, Alabama has shifted to a more balanced approach over the past decade, with some seasons relying on offense as a calling card. With the Crimson Tide housing four Heisman Trophy winners, all of whom are on offense, since 2009, more top prospects are willing to flock to Tuscaloosa, including some who have even decommitted from their previous school to make it happen. Alabama football head coach Kalen DeBoerVasha Hunt-Imagn Images Amid his decommitment from the Boise State Broncos, three-star quarterback Bryson Beaver is set to visit Alabama on Sunday. A six-foot-two passer from Vista Murrieta High School in California, he threw for 3,214 yards, 33 touchdowns, and six interceptions as a junior last year. The 2026 grad also added 411 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Advertisement Beaver held a commitment to Boise State until earlier this week. He also has offers from the Ole Miss Rebels, Oregon Ducks, Utah Utes, San Jose State Spartans, Nevada Wolf Pack, Hawaii Warriors, and Florida Atlantic Owls, among others. Alongside Alabama, he also visited the University of Mississippi on Saturday. Four-star athlete Zyan Gibson is the only offensive skill position player committed to Alabama for the 2026 class. A commitment from Beaver would mark a second straight recruiting class highlighted by a top quarterback prospect. Butler basketball schedules two-game series with perennial NCAA tournament team

INDIANAPOLIS — It's becoming somewhat of a rivalry over the past two seasons and will extend to home campuses. Butler basketball scheduled a home-and-home with Boise State, a program it has met each of the past two seasons. The Bulldogs will host the Broncos on Dec. 6 at Hinkle Fieldhouse before making a return trip to Idaho for the 2026-27 season. Times and TV assignments have not yet been announced. It's a quality addition to the schedule as Boise State has averaged 24.8 wins per season the past four seasons, and have three NCAA tournament berths in that span. Each of the two meetings in the all-time series have happened at neutral sites. Butler's season ended April 2 in Las Vegas at the inaugural College Basketball Crown, where the Broncos won 100-93 despite a career-high 30 points from Finley Bizjack. Butler won the first meeting between the two, 70-56, to secure fifth place in the ESPN Invitational on Nov. 26, 2023 in Orlando. The Bulldogs are headed to White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia for their early season multi-team event. It was announced Tuesday that they would play South Carolina and Virginia there and avoid a second game against Northwestern, which Butler will play in the Indy Classic on Dec. 20 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The rest of the known schedule includes games against Southern Indiana on Nov. 5, IU-Indy on Nov. 8 and Chicago State on Nov. 11 all at Hinkle Fieldhouse to open the season. Butler then will conclude its home-and-home series with SMU on Nov. 15 before heading to the two-game event Nov. 21 and 23. The Bulldogs will return home to play Eastern Michigan on Dec. 2. Two open preseason exhibitions were scheduled against in-state opponents. Another two-year agreement was scheduled with Notre Dame and then Indiana State was added. Former Butler player Matthew Graves is in his second season leading the Sycamores. The Bulldogs had a late addition to their 2025 recruiting class with Guerin Catholic's Bryson Cardinal, the son of former NBA forward Brian Cardinal. He's among four other freshmen heading to campus, and includes Lawrence North guard Azavier Robinson.

Oregon football extends new offer to 2026 Boise State QB commit

The Oregon Ducks extended an intriguing scholarship offer on Wednesday, reaching out to three-star quarterback Bryson Beaver, from Murrieta, California. Beaver, who stands 6 feet, 3 inches and 200 pounds, is the No. 1,092 player and the No. 72 quarterback in the 2026 class on the 247Sports composite. He has been committed to the Boise State Broncos since April, but he has been picking up some interest from other schools. Advertisement According to Beaver's Instagram, the Ducks offered him a scholarship this week. Per his 247Sports profile, Beaver was also visited by Ohio State Buckeyes' coach Billy Fessler last month. Among Beaver's offers are Boise State, Utah, Hawaii, Nevada, California and UNLV. This offer is worth noting because of where the Ducks stand in the quarterback recruiting landscape. Earlier this spring, they lost the Jared Curtis sweepstakes: The five-star passer committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. They are projected to land five-star QB Ryder Lyons, but there has been some buzz recently that the BYU Cougars are willing to pay the Utah native inordinate sums of money to keep him in-state through his LDS mission. If that is the case, the Ducks' offering another QB in the class makes sense. They still could feel good about where they stand with Lyons but are just covering their bases with another talented and rising QB prospect. Beaver has not visited Oregon. In light of this offer, it would not be shocking to see him on campus at some point this summer. 2026 QB Bryson Beaver decommits from Boise State following Oregon Ducks offer

The Oregon Ducks extended an intriguing scholarship offer on Thursday night, reaching out to Boise State Broncos quarterback commit Bryson Beaver, a three-star recruit in the 2026 class. After watching Beaver throw during a recruiting camp, the Ducks started courting him and extended the offer. Less than a day later, Beaver reportedly decommitted from Boise State and re-opened his recruitment. Advertisement Beaver, who stands 6 feet, 3 inches and 200 pounds, is the No. 1,092 player and the No. 72 quarterback in the class on the 247Sports composite. On3 rates him as the No. 22 QB, though. He had been committed to the Boise State Broncos since April but has been picking up interest from other schools. Per his 247Sports profile, Beaver was also visited by Ohio State Buckeyes' coach Billy Fessler last month. Beaver has offers from Boise State, Utah, Hawaii, Nevada, California and UNLV among others. The Ducks are in on five-star QB Ryder Lyons, who is visiting this weekend in Eugene. They are expected to try to sign another 2026 QB as well since Lyons plans to take an LDS mission after high school and will not enroll until 2027 regardless of where he commits.
