'Really Sorry': Internet Reacts After US Tourists Say They Were Filmed At Gurugram Hotel Pool

Last Updated: In the clip, the camera zooms in on a hotel room window where a man appears to be holding up his phone and filming them Two American sisters travelling in India with their family have alleged that a man secretly filmed them from a hotel window while they were sunbathing by the pool in Gurugram. The video they posted about the incident has gone viral, triggering a wave of online apologies and concern from Indian users. The women, Rory and Sage, shared a short video on Instagram through their handle @roryandsageofficial, which has over 16,000 followers. The clip was shared a week ago. In the clip, the camera zooms in on a hotel room window where a man appears to be holding up his phone and filming them. The sisters, visibly uncomfortable, say they were simply relaxing by the pool when they noticed the man watching and possibly recording them. Along with the video, they wrote, 'Well it looks like we're going to have to find a new past time. If you're a female planning on coming to India, I wouldn't come without a body guard of a man lol. Whether you are sun bathing or fully clothed, we are finding this behavior very common in India." Their post quickly sparked reactions online, with several users commenting in support of the sisters and apologising for the behaviour they experienced. One user wrote, 'I am from India and I'm sorry, really really sorry." Another added, 'As an indian yes this is unfortunately v common here. Old retired uncles capturing you." Some offered advice on how to deal with the incident. 'Please report it to the hotel, not the staff present but some senior management and they will take action, if not you can even file a report to the police. This should not be taken lightly and we need strict actions from foreigners, so that they can start taking local women seriously too. It might be a hassle to talk about it, you can send them an email too," one user suggested. Others pointed to a wider issue, saying the problem isn't limited to foreign tourists. 'Traveling to India for a Bikini vacation will only ruin your holiday girlies, even if you walk in your pjs men will keep staring… so don't go at all even we aren't safe!," one comment read. Another person wrote, 'We are sorry for creating an insecurity for you. People in our society never learns to mind their own business. This is the same reason we fight among ourselves a lot…" 'So sorry from any Indian person leaked of your privacy, found on social media, but Indian people is very honest and India is safe place of world for tourism," a user wrote. Brooke Shields celebrates 60th birthday in bikini on the beach

Brooke Shields is proving age is just a number with new social media posts. The "Mother of the Bride" star took to Instagram over the weekend to celebrate her 60th birthday with photos of her lounging on the beach in her bikini. "Woke up today in paradise… and in a new decade of life! This is 6️⃣0️⃣! Thank you for all of the birthday love," she captioned the post. The photos featured Shields sitting in a hammock on the shore in a black bikini, which she accessorized with a sun hat and a chunky gold chain choker and sand-covered feet. Her famous friends quickly flooded the comments sections with well-wishes, with Christie Brinkley writing "Happy Birthday Beauty 60 looks GREAT on you," and Ricki Lake adding, "Yes Queen! Happy milestone Birthday!" In a separate Instagram post, shared on the account of her haircare brand, Commence, Shields spelled out "propaganda we're not falling for" anymore, writing in the caption, "We're not making any more time for nonsense." "That 60 means slowing down. That change is only for your twenties," the list written on the screen said. "That it's too late to learn something new. That my best days are in the rearview. That women 'of a certain age' aren't a force to be reckoned with. That I don't deserve products made specifically for me. That not every day can be a good hair day." "Woke up today in paradise… and in a new decade of life! This is 6️⃣0️⃣! Thank you for all of the birthday love." Shields is no stranger to sharing bikini photos. The star took to Instagram in April, to share photos from her time in the Bahamas, in which she posed on the beach in a black and white bikini. Having started her career at a young age, Shields has often spoken out about how difficult it was to grow up in the spotlight, telling AARP The Magazine in March 2024 she felt as if beauty "was a burden and a responsibility," but that now it "means freedom." "The 'Pretty Baby' documentary definitely empowered me," she explained. "I had never seen my life in its entirety. It made me feel very proud of my resilience and that little girl. I would be shocked as a kid to know that there would come a time that I would feel like I was enough. I would be shocked if I knew that I would one day really be confident and like myself." The 2023 documentary, "Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields," chronicled the actress' life as a sexualized young actress and model, "to a woman who embraces her identity and voice," according to the description on Hulu. When speaking with AARP The Magazine, she explained she has grown accustomed to hearing other people's opinions about her appearance, saying "it's an affront to people if Brooke Shields gets older." "You can't grow up, you cannot age. It's disappointing to them that I don't have the same face I had when I was 16," she said. "But it's been so liberating for me not to worry about it all the time. The pressure of being skinny is just so exhausting. I like food, and I like tequila!" She further discussed aging in Hollywood in her memoir, "Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old."

Hoda Kotb Is on to Her Next Venture: Joy 101, a Personalized, Daily Wellness App

Hoda Kotb is back with her latest venture. On Wednesday, the former 'Today' host is unveiling the launch of her wellness app Joy 101. It is a personalized daily wellness platform that provides insights from experts, researchers — and Kotb, of course. The platform, which will be available to download in two weeks, will cost $17 a month or $99 for the full year. More from WWD West Hollywood Hot Pilates Studio Silver Springs and Aubrey Swims Release Bikini Collaboration How AI Is Actually Reshaping the Future of Beauty Formulation Wellness Podcasts Are Soaring on Spotify. Here, the Top 10 Shows by Popularity Specifically, it will include a daily wisdom from Kotb, expert-led courses on topics like brain health and breathwork, 500-plus sessions on a variety of wellness subjects, guided meditations and twice-monthly livestreams with Kotb and friends. The first livestream will be held on June 11 with Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie. The platform will also offer sleep support, movement sessions, community conversation, access to Joy 101's in-person retreats led by Kotb, which will kick off in the fall, and an annual in-person celebration called JoyFest and a personalized plan for each user compiling all of the above. Joy 101 also features a group of advisers including Good American chief executive officer Emma Grede, journalist and advocate Maria Shriver and neuroscientist and dean of NYU's college of arts and science Dr. Wendy Suzuki. Kotb's inspiration for the app started while she was at 'Today' when Bush Hager, her cohost, pushed her to try a breathwork session with one of her go-to practitioners. Kotb reluctantly tried a session on Zoom. 'After seven minutes, I exploded in tears. I was sobbing,' she recalled. While the emotional release was surprising and helpful, it was the after effects that impacted Kotb the most. 'It gave me this weird clarity. I remember I walked back to my apartment and I was like, 'Oh my god.' I was very calm. [My daughter] Haley even said to me, 'Mom, what's going on?' I go, 'Nothing. I feel great,'' she said. 'I was calm. I noticed that I had clarity. I had a great night's sleep, and the next morning at work, I was firing through my notes…. This felt like a big deal.' It was and is a big deal, as Kotb still practices this breathwork for five to seven minutes each day. From there, she was hooked and ready to find additional rituals that could amplify the results of these breathwork sessions. She and Bush Hager were on this journey together, trying other practices like meditation, poring over their results while on 'Today.' Seeing her passion for these practices, Kotb's friend Shriver recommended she try a retreat at the Hoffman Institute. 'She said, 'I've lived with nuns. I've walked with the Dalai Lama. I ate with Thich Nhat Hanh.' She goes, 'I'd trade my Georgetown degree for this place,'' Kotb recalled. 'I of course signed up… It was more life changing than anything else I'd ever done.' With these experiences and a passion for discovering new practices and experts, Kotb realized she was going to a variety of places and people to get the best of the best when it could all exist under one platform. Enter Joy 101. '[It's] like the retreat in your pocket,' she said. '[This] all came to be because of trying something once. It reminds me, my 60s is really about being a beginner again. That's what I'm doing. I'm beginning again, and it's fun. It's like, 'Oh my god! What a cool decade ahead.'' While Kotb started ideating what Joy 101 would be a few years ago, it wasn't always this type of platform. She originally played around with doing a summer camp for kids but quickly realized women actually needed the same type of attention and access to community. As Bush Hager and Shriver's suggestions inspired Kotb, so did many of her guests and women she has looked up to over the years. Kotb recalled one interview with actress Viola Davis that especially inspired her. 'I interviewed her and said, 'How would you describe your childhood?,' and she said, 'I was hungry…' She described how difficult and treacherous it was, and she also described looking at the TV and seeing Cicely Tyson and going, 'I'm going to do that,'' said Kotb. 'That's a very extreme example, but I think what people need is to see somebody doing something like Viola.' In her personal life, Kotb said she felt the same way when she saw Sandra Bullock adopt a child. She hopes to bring these same moments of inspiration to Joy 101 users. 'What this is doing is showing, in another way, women. Look at how different your life can feel,' said Kotb. 'You can make a change and a choice, and you can see how people who have tried it are feeling. Maybe it's something to look at, maybe something to give a try.' For Kotb, all of these wellness practices that she's picked up over the last several years have become daily non-negotiables. Every day she practices breathwork, meditation and her specific style of journaling. 'I write down body, intellect, emotions and spirit, and I write down what does each thing need today,' said Kotb. For example, she said her body may need a rest or a bit of exercise, and her intellect may need to read two chapters of the book that's long been sitting on her nightstand. 'There's my mini road map for the day,' she said. 'It's not a lot, and it's one thing here and one thing there, small things, but it gives you something that nourishes all the parts of you.' In addition to these habits, after years of middle-of-the-night wake-up calls for 'Today,' Kotb is an expert when it comes to sleep practices, which will be featured on the app. Her top suggestions include putting your cell phone in a different room before bed, and making sure the last thing in your brain is nourishing like a daily devotional — Kotb reads a daily page from 'The Book of Awakening' each night. She also keeps a notepad by her bed just in case she needs to do a brain dump before heading to sleep — for eight hours of course. As she launches Joy 101, Kotb said she will define the platform's success by its engaged users. 'Do you want 50,000 people who do a drive-by of your app every now and then, or go to a retreat or look at it online once in a while, or would I rather have 15,000 people who are like, 'I can't wait. When's the next retreat? Oh, you have a new course,'' she said. 'I want that kind of a community, as opposed to, 'Look how many people have come' because I think the people who come are going to want and need this.'

Laura Hamilton flaunts her incredible figure in a skimpy black bikini as she enjoys lavish Dubai getaway

Laura Hamilton showed off her incredible figure in stunning Instagram snaps during an exotic getaway in Dubai on Friday. The TV presenter could be seen striking a pose in the black two-piece, oozing confidence as she showed off her jaw-dropping figure. The A Place In The Sun host, 43, put on a leggy display as she sat on the edge of the villa pool. As she tilted her head towards the sun and flaunted her golden tan, she took a moment to take in the gorgeous surroundings. Later in the day, Laura uploaded a video in the same stylish bikini at Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel, where she was staying. She chilled out on an inflatable, sporting a pair of white stylish sunglasses. She also uploaded a video of herself braving the plunge into an ice bath. As she prepared to immerse herself into the freezing water, Laura showcased her slender figure again and crossed her arms ready to take a quick dip. In the video, the star took several deep breaths as she built up the courage to slowly lower herself into the plunge pool. For the first of the sizzling snaps at Dubai's Azure Beach Club, Laura was pictured from behind as she perched by the side of the pool with just her feet in the water. The presenter seemed in good spirits as she enjoyed a trip away for work, captioning the post: 'In just under 7 hours I travelled to Dubai for meetings, filming and a bit of time by the pool...' Laura's latest post on Instagram comes after she opened up about the struggles she endured during the renovation of her dream home in Spain, which she bought back in August. The property expert, who has been the host of A Place In The Sun since 2012, has spent the proceeding nine months renovating the six-bedroom home into a four bed abode with a courtyard garden. Laura, however, admitted it has all cost a little more than she expected. In an interview with The Sun, she said: 'You need a lot of patience because you have to follow the rules and regulations. She continued: 'You need to do a lot of research before doing a project overseas. What I will say is like any property you buy, you should get a survey. 'Something else that I would say is to get the right mortgage. There are some amazing mortgages available out there.' Laura said that due to her three per cent mortgage which is fixed for 25 years, she didn't have to 'sink all my money' into the project. The presenter also urged anyone thinking of buying a house abroad to 'do it now' as she regrets not doing it sooner. Laura ended up knocking down most of the house in order to create her dream 'plunge pool' as a centre piece to the holiday house. Taking to Instagram at the end of November, she posted an update for her fans, writing: 'LOOK HOW FAR I'VE COME... 'Back in August I purchased a holiday home in Mallorca. But of course me being me, it had to be a 'renovation project'. It's a massive undertaking and I am loving the process and of course the transformation. 'I decided not to post lots about my renovation on this page as I know not everyone is interested so I decided to create a separate page with more content on the project over on @myrenovationinthesun.' Laura shared how it was tough to gut the house as it is on a small lane in the middle of the town - and it took a team of eight people three days to empty everything. The whole back of the house had been demolished and the roof terrace has gone in order to create a space for a courtyard garden with a plunge pool. She has also gutted the old fashioned bathroom, downstairs bedroom and kitchen to make way for a more modern design. Laura began her rise to fame in 2003, appearing on popular children's programme Fun Song Factory on CITV - alongside JLS' Aston Merrygold. Laura also presented the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards and was in talks to host The X Factor accompaniment show The Xtra Factor. Since becoming a firm favourite on A Place In The Sun, Laura has appeared on Dancing On Ice, where she came second.

UAE introduces robot-assisted ‘Bikini' hip replacement

Dr Ali Al Baloushi, President of the Emirates Orthopedic Society, expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotic-assisted surgery, and Head of Orthocure Medical Center, announced the introduction of the Direct Anterior "Bikini" incision total hip replacement using robotic technology for the first time in the Middle East, in the UAE. Dr Ali stated that this advanced technique is suitable for most patients requiring hip replacement, except those who are very obese, highly muscular, or have severe congenital hip dislocation, which can make the procedure technically challenging even for experienced surgeons. In such cases, a modified robot-assisted approach can still yield better outcomes. Dr Ikram Nizam, consultant orthopedic hip surgeon from Australia and inventor of the Bikini hip replacement approach— approved by official authorities and published in international journals — described it as the latest technique in the field. He noted that specialised centres in Europe have achieved outstanding results with anterior hip replacement surgeries using this method. The key benefits of the Bikini incision hip replacement include a more aesthetically pleasing scar, reduced post-operative pain and swelling, no muscle or tendon cutting, relatively less blood loss, reduced muscle weakness, early mobilisation (within 3-4 hours), faster recovery, a concealed scar in the groin, lower risk of dislocation, quicker return to driving within weeks, and early resumption of daily activities and work. Dr Ikram Nizam explained that the primary indications for anterior hip surgery include major degenerative arthritis (primary or secondary) and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, which cause pain, reduced mobility, and loss of function. The procedure can also be performed for post-traumatic hip osteoarthritis. While this approach is applicable to most patients needing hip replacement, it may be technically difficult in cases of severe obesity, high muscle mass, or complex revision surgeries. In such instances, traditional hip replacement with a conventional incision remains preferable, but robotic assistance can enhance recovery speed and patient satisfaction.
