Katherine Ryan sports £27 high street mascara shoppers praise as 'the best ever'

Comedian Katherine Ryan is currently pregnant with her second child but she's still finding time to share her favourite beauty products - and it seems she's finally found 'the one' when it comes to mascara Katherine Ryan, known for her comedic chops on shows like Would I Lie To You?, seems to be eyeing a side gig as a beauty influencer. The television favourite has been dishing out beauty tips, and her latest endorsement of a high street mascara is turning heads. On TikTok, the comedian, who just announced her fourth pregnancy, shared an impressive before-and-after snapshot of her eyelashes, captioning it: "Am I the only one who puts mascara on by blinking slowly?" Katherine revealed that mascara was one of the beauty staples where she rates high street products above designer brands. The focus of her TikTok was Benefit's They're Real Mascara, which Katherine hailed as "the ONE". She said: "I've seen a lot of mascara reviews on here, and I know I'm going to get in trouble in a minute because it is 7.56 pm and I'm on stage in four minutes, but I'm ready as soon as I get on." She clarified her stance, saying: "I don't have an affiliate link and I'm not selling anything, but I use some designer make-up products but never mascara. For some reason, I think high street ones are better. This is Benefit They're Real." Katherine also mentioned her preference for high street mascaras that "don't flake" and her fondness for mini versions for ease of travel, reports the Mirror. If you're tempted by Katherine's lash transformation, the mini mascara is available for £15 at Selfridges, or take advantage of LookFantastic's current deal offering a full-size They're Real Mascara plus a travel-sized one for £27 (valued at £42). Katherine's TikTok fans are eager to pop the mascara into their virtual baskets after witnessing her lashes adorned with a layer of the product. One asked: "Katherine how the hell are your lashes that long??" Another expressed her fondness for the Benefit product, commenting: "Nothing beats Benefit mascara!", while another added: "I've loved Benefit mascara for the longest time." One more fan enthused: "This is the best mascara ever. I've used it for years. Can't beat it." "I shall NEVER return to my old drug store mascara... Benefit has my heart," a final user declared. The mascara itself boasts a formula designed to elongate and amplify lashes for a faux-lash effect, offering up to 36 hours of wear that resists smudging, transferring, and flaking, as Katherine attests. Yet, some of her followers argue that a £15 mascara – even a mini – doesn't quite fit the high street bill. For those seeking a recommendation under £10, there are plenty of alternatives being suggested. One TikToker recommends Maybelline's Sky High Mascara, currently available on Amazon for £8. Others are vouching for L'Oreal's renowned Telescopic Mascara, which is on sale for £9.59 at present. Beauty deal of the week Looking for last minute gift inspiration for dad ahead of Sunday, June 15. Then don't fret, as we have you covered, as no-one can go wrong with a new bottle of cologne, and we have spotted Versace's The Dreamer for him Eau de Toilette for 67 percent less at Superdrug. Hailed for being "underrated" and "truly unique", a large 100ml bottle of this fragrance has been dropped from £74 to £24, allowing you to make a huge saving of £50 and get in a thoughtful gift. Described as "warm" and "fresh", Versace's Dreamer is an aromatic fragrance that, while belonging to the cologne family, is said to boast a variety of notes that make it suitable for both men and women. The scent opens on vibrant notes of juniper, tarragon, and artemisia, before blending into heart notes of iris, lily and flax flowers to add a touch of softness. It then ends on a comforting base of tobacco blossom and amber, offering a smoky, luxurious finish. The transparent, clear fragrance itself is housed in an opulent glass bottle that has been embossed with the iconic medusa logo, representing the luxury aesthetic of the iconic fashion house. Versace's Dreamer EDT has managed to earn glowing reviews and a 4.6 rating from shoppers, with one saying: "Truly unique and dreamy fragrance. It's a great fragrance but it's underrated. Guys you have to try this one, it's great for all year round." And someone else wrote: "Not to be overlooked. This is a lesser known Versace men's fragrance but oh my it is gorgeous ! Hubby loved it and amazing value for money."

Katherine Ryan proves a high street mascara is 'the one' with incredible results

"I'm not selling anything, this high street mascara is the one" Though Katherine Ryan is officially a comedian, we think she might be bidding for a career as a beauty influencer. The Would I Lie To You? and TV regular certainly knows a thing or two about aesthetics and beauty, something she's proving with her latest high street mascara recommendation. Taking to TikTok to share a very impressive before-and-after shot of her lashes, the soon-to-be mum of four, who announced her latest pregnancy just last week, captions the clip: "Am I the only one who puts mascara on by blinking slowly?" The subject of the TikTok is Benefit's They're Real Mascara, which Katherine says is "the ONE". She explains: "I've seen a lot of mascara reviews on here, and I know I'm going to get in trouble in a minute because it is 7.56 pm and I'm on stage in 4 minutes, but I'm ready as soon as I get on. "I don't have an affiliate link and I'm not selling anything, but I use some designer make-up products but never mascara. For some reason, I think high street ones are better. This is Benefit They're Real." She goes on to explain how she finds high street mascaras "don't flake" and how she prefers mini-sized ones so she can take them travelling with her. If you're looking at Katherine's incredible results, you can pick up the mini mascara for £15 from Selfridges, or you can make the most of LookFantastic's offer this week which gives you a full size They're Real Mascara as well as the travel-sized one for £27 (but worth £42). Katherine's TikTok followers say they're prepped to add it to their own virtual shopping baskets after seeing her lashes with a coat of the mascara on. One asks: "Katherine how the hell are your lashes that long??" Another shares her love for the Benefit buy, saying: "Nothing beats Benefit mascara!", with another chiming in with: "I've loved Benefit mascara for the longest time." "This is the best mascara ever. I've used it for years. Can't beat it," writes another. "I shall NEVER return to my old drug store mascara... Benefit has my heart," concludes a final user. The formula itself promises to lengthen and extend the appearance of your lashes to create a false effect. Lasting up to 36 hours of wear, the formula is smudge, transfer and flake-proof – as Katherine says. However, a few of the comedian's other followers are saying they don't think a £15 mascara – for a mini, at that – counts as a high street one. So if you are looking for a mascara recommendation under £10, they have plenty of other suggestions. One TikToker advises others to check out Maybelline's Sky High Mascara, which can be bought for £8 on Amazon. A few others say they swear by L'Oreal's iconic Telescopic Mascara, available for £9.59 at the moment.
