Love Island fans disgusted by hunk's ‘gross habit' – but did you spot it?
LOVE Island fans were left disgusted by Ben Holbrough's 'gross habit' during last night's episode. ITV2 viewers struggled to conceal their horror when taxi driver Ben, 23, began to bite his fingernails while chatting with the boys outside. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to share their dismay, one asked: "Is Ben full on munching his fingernails on tv," alongside crying emojis. Another bluntly said: "Ben is gross." Also in the installment, Shakira and Toni's savage comments behind Ben's back were exposed before an explosive row kicked off. Tensions rose as the girls' critical remarks come to light, triggering a heated argument. Shakira said, 'His presence pi**es me off,' as Toni warned her, 'The ick! He likes to throw this word around, maybe you should. Don't make any rash decisions.' During a Firepit game, Look Who's Talking, Islanders read out quotes and try to guess who said them. Shakira's comment about Ben, 'I don't know if the conversation is stimulating for my brain, I'm quite a smart girl," was confirmed by the group. When confronted, Shakira wanted to discuss it with Ben, who replied, 'Well, it's an open discussion,' but disagreed with her explanation. Ben's quote about Shakira also came up. He had said: 'I don't know where she's at, I don't know if she's a respectful girl, I feel like she's a very flirty girl that didn't know her boundaries.' Love Island USA fans claim couple 'had sex in communal room' in NSFW scene The prompted Shakira to tell him to 'pipe down'. Meanwhile, Toni admitted to saying about Dejon, 'I think it goes back to the fact that we see a different side of you when she's not breathing down your neck,' and stands by the comment. She said: 'It's true, we do, she knows it.' Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. 3 3

Ben from Love Island has a famous ITV star uncle who he parties with in Ibiza – and they look just like each other
LOVE Island star Ben Holbrough has a famous ITV reality star uncle - but can you guess who it is? The taxi driver and mode from Gloucester, 23, is in the villa hoping to find his dream woman. 4 But before heading into the villa, Ben would have likely got advice from his identical-looking reality TV star uncle. Have you guessed who it is yet? Ben's uncle is Warren Phillips, who starred on ITV's Survival of the Fittest 2018, presented by Laura Whitmore. 4 Survival Of The Fittest saw a group of hot young singles sent to the South African Savannah to take part in the ultimate battle of the sexes, involving mental and physical challenges. Throughout the series, the contestants have the opportunity to romance the opposite sex - but only at the expense of their team's chances in the competition. The 36-year-old was part of the Boys Team on series one. He ended up finishing in fifth place being a part of the runner-up team, alongside James, David & Tristan. Ben has previously shared snaps of him and Warren together on social media and the pair seem to have a pretty tight bond. In one photo, the lads showed off their muscular physiques by going topless for bathroom selfies in Ibiza. Another photo saw them hanging out with a group of mates at Wayne Lineker's famous beach club O Beach Ibiza. Ben appears to have turned it around after fans demanded he was axed for his brutal chat with Toni. He is now coupled up with Shakira. Last week fans ranted "get him out", after they claimed he was showing "scary red flag behaviour". Ben randomly got annoyed at a comment Toni made about the "prospect of the boys not being safe" when any male bombshells enter the villa. Things then escalated, when Ben admitted that he thought she gave him "ick". When Toni tried to ask him about this, he immediately got defensive and dismissive of her feelings. Things quickly turned sour and he told her: 'I don't feel like me and you have got that spark if I am being honest.' Looking taken aback Toni replied 'okay' as he continued: 'That is just me being honest but I know when I have got it with someone. That I feel it straight away. But yeah I don't feel like you and me have got it.' Toni then said: 'I mean I don't think that technique is going to work for you here.' He asked what she meant and she replied: 'Right away off the bat.' Smirking, he responded: 'You'd be surprised. I feel like sparks have already been made.' An unhappy Toni hit back: 'Good luck pal.' But Ben's bad attitude towards Toni, and also how he had snapped at her earlier in the episode, has not gone down well with viewers, with some claiming this is a "red flag". There were even calls for him to be removed from the villa. Taking to X/Twitter, one said: "What is Ben's problem? Can't be dealing with this guy for next two months get him out!" While another added: "Ben's an insufferable man child. hope the next make bombshell sends him packing." 4

Love Island stars Harry Cooksley and Ben Holbrough look unrecognisable in unveiled hair transplant videos prior to their time in the villa
It's no secret that Love Island contestants often undergo the odd tweakment before arriving in the villa on the look out for love. And two of this year's male contestants underwent hair transplants prior to their time on the hit ITV dating show. Looking unrecognisable in throwback pictures, Harry Cooksley jetted to Turkey back in 2018 when he was just 23-years-old to undergo the procedure. Visiting the Estepera Hair Clinic, Harry's treatment was documented in a video on their YouTube as he was seen having his hairline marked up for the treatment, before his hair was shaved ahead of the transplant. Speaking to the camera Harry explained: 'The process was pretty much pain free. The surgeons were brilliant and I am absolutely delighted with the outcome.' And nearly seven years on the results have certainly paid off with Harry now sporting a full mullet on the ITV show. Yet he isn't the only male contestant to have undergone the procedure. Ben Holbrough also had a hair transplant at 360 Hair Clinic around a year and a half ago. Sharing a hair update video taken six months after his initial surgery Ben shared clips of his hair growing in as he confessed it was about 80% there half a year after the surgery. As well as the hair transplant, Ben also uses the clinics Optimum Hair products to maintain his hair's thickness, strength and natural-looking results. Supporting him on his Love Island journey the clinic penned: 'We're so proud to have been part of his journey and can't wait to watch him shine (with great hair, of course) on national TV. 'Best of luck, Ben! You've already got the crown for best hair in the villa'. Last year Love Island star Ronnie Vint opened up the conversation on men's hairlines after it was revealed he used Toppik to alter his hairline. Viewers at home had been left baffled by Ronnie's barnet after they realised it looked different in the daytime than it does when he's spotted in bed on the night vision cameras. Harry Cooksley jetted to Turkey back in 2018 when he was just 23-years-old to undergo the procedure (pictured L) Sharing a hair update video taken six months after his initial surgery (pictured L) Ben shared clips of his hair growing in as he confessed it was about 80% there half a year after the surgery During his time on All Stars back in January, fans expressed their confusion on X, writing: 'After watching Ronnie Vint in 2 seasons of Love Island I still can't work out what's going on with his hairline. Absolute mystery #LoveIsland.' 'What's wrong with Ronnie hair! The wind is blowing up the hair at the back, but not a single hair is moving at the front! Did he glue his front hairline?! #LoveIsland.' 'So is Ronnie wearing a frontal? because at night we see the missing hairline #LoveIslandAllStars.' However, Ronnie actually addressed his hair situation after his first stint in the villa in summer 2024, joking that his hairline has become 'more famous than he is'. He took to TikTok to explain his hair journey and what he uses to make his hairline appear fuller. Speaking to the camera in a video which was posted in November, Ronnie held up a bottle of hair fibers and told fans: 'That in there is my hair. How mad is that?' 'Everybody since coming out of the villa has been asking me what I use on my hair, and I use Toppik - the best hair fibers there is. 'So I'm going to show you what I use, how I use it, and get a proper hairline again. Becasue they're made of keratin, it attaches to your hair for a much fuller and thicker look.' He continued: 'It's really easy to use. I literally just take off the top and I just screw on the applicator like that then give it a shake and add into my hair.' The reality star then demonstrated how he adds the product into his hair, giving fans a glimpse of the before and after results.' Ronnie explained that his barber introduced him to the product and since then he's 'never looked back'. He admitted: 'The boost of confidence it's given me over the years, it's gone a long way.' At the time, the footballer received a lot of praise for being open about his haircare journey. Viewers wrote in the comments: 'It's so nice to see him comfortable talking about this! i hope this encourages more men to not feel anxious about their hairlines.' 'Well done for being so open and honest.' 'Good one mate if it gives you confidence you do it, looking slick brother.' 'You're so good for sharing that! women share their extensions all the time so it's good to see a man doing the same kind of thing and helping others out.' 'I think it's great that you have been so honest about your hair line. I'm sure you will help lots of men and women with this post!!' Love Island's Ben Holbrough had a hair transplant before the show: See before and after pictures
Love Island's Ben Holbrough has been the talk of this week's show thanks to his icky situ with Toni (read: his ego is through the roof). More recently, however, it's not his coupling that has people online talking, but a number of TikTok and Instagram videos that reveal he underwent a hair transplant before entering the villa. Shocking, much? Well, you've not seen the transformative before and after pictures, yet... Last year, at just 22 years old, the taxi driver from Gloucester underwent the hair transplant procedure at 360 Hair Clinic in Brighton. The clinic has shared multiple clips on social media showcasing his transformation, including a video taken six months post-surgery, highlighting fuller, thicker, and healthier-looking hair. "We developed a full post-treatment plan tailored specifically for Ben, combining in-clinic treatments and our 360 Optimum Hair products to protect the newly transplanted follicles, minimise shedding and promote healthy, long-term growth," the clinic wrote to caption one of their posts. We're pleased to see that the procedure has increased Ben's confidence and self-love! That said, Ben isn't the only boy from this year's cast of Love Island to have had a hair transplant. Semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley also underwent a transformation in Istanbul, Turkey, at just 24 years old. Harry has previously said that he underwent the "perfect experience". The increasing openness among male reality TV stars about cosmetic procedures reflects a broader societal shift towards destigmatising such treatments. And while users on social media can be cruel, the reach that certain forums have has played a significant role in normalising discussions around hair loss and restoration, encouraging more and more individuals to speak about men's grooming and self-image. And we're all for this positivity! But beyond that, we have one final message for Ben: You better treat our girl Shakira well... This is an ick-free zone, my friend. Follow Lia on Instagram.
