Benson Boone's CMAC show sold out, heavy traffic expected
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Benson Boone will be playing to a sold-out crowd tonight in Canandaigua! CMAC announced all tickets for the 'Beautiful Things' singer's show were sold out. The venue and police are working to help concert-goers prepare ahead of time. Not only are tickets sold out, but premium parking at CMAC is sold out as well. General parking is $10, and there will be complimentary shuttles running from Parkway Plaza on Eastern Boulevard to the venue. Whether you are attending Boone's show or not, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office is warning drivers that traffic may be heavy heading towards the venue. Benson Boone Makes Hot 100 History
Benson Boone is actively promoting three singles from his forthcoming album, American Heart. 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else,' 'Mystical Magical,' and 'Momma Song' all appear on multiple Billboard charts at the moment, but none are performing nearly as well as the track that started it all for him. 'Beautiful Things' broke Boone into the mainstream and has become a historic smash for the pop singer. It is still present on the Hot 100 this week, even though the musician stopped promoting the tune long ago. Amazingly, it lives in a loftier position than both 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' and 'Mystical Magical,' the first two official singles from his forthcoming sophomore full-length. This frame, 'Beautiful Things' rises from No. 14 to No. 10, reentering the most competitive space on the Hot 100. As it climbs, the track reaches a milestone that only a handful of songs in history have achieved. 'Beautiful Things' has now lived on the Hot 100 for 70 weeks. It's just the tenth track in the more than half-century-long tenure of the ranking to reach that landmark figure. Boone is currently tied with 'Snooze' by SZA as the ninth-longest-running winner ever. With its seventieth frame scored, the tune breaks out of a tie with 'How Do I Live' by LeAnn Rimes and 'Save Your Tears' by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande, both of which disappeared from the tally after 69 stays. As Boone continues to up his career-best each week, the record for the longest stay on the Hot 100 is also frequently reset. 'Lose Control,' the breakout smash by Teddy Swims, debuted on the chart in 2023, and it's still present today. This time around, in its ninety-third stint on the tally, it returns to the top 10 as well, pushing from No. 11 to No. 8. It's highly likely that 'Beautiful Things' will break its tie with 'Snooze' in just a few days and earn a seventy-first turn on the Hot 100. When it does, it will tie with 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' by Mariah Carey — and from there, it could continue to climb. Also ahead of 'Beautiful Things' on the list of the longest-charting successes in Hot 100 history are all of the following tracks: 'Heat Waves' by Glass Animals (91 weeks), 'Blinding Lights' by The Weeknd (90 weeks), 'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons (87 weeks), 'Sail' by Awolnation (79 weeks), 'Levitating' by Dua Lipa (and in some instances, DaBaby) (77 weeks), and 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz (76 weeks). How far Boone will be able to progress with his pop smash is yet to be seen, but he may soon tie, and even pass, the biggest wins from Mraz, Lipa, and DaBaby.

NEW YORK — Jennifer Lopez made out with multiple backup dancers Monday when she opened the American Music Awards with a dance set to a medley of nominated songs. The public displays of affection came on the heels of finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck earlier this year. A male dancer smooched the newly single Bronx-born pop star, 55, who then kissed a female dancer during the transition from Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things' to Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control.' The seven-minute, often steamy performance opened the Memorial Day awards show, which Lopez also hosted. Earlier this month, Lopez posted selfies of her bruised eyes and a cut on her nose she'd suffered '(during @amas rehearsals),' for which she ultimately needed stitches. Also Monday, Lopez revealed she's doing a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from Dec. 30 to Jan. 3 and for much of next March. This time a year ago, headlines were rife with speculation that she and 52-year-old Affleck were headed for divorce, during which Lopez canceled her tour. Though Lopez and the Oscar winner were engaged in the early aughts — and ultimately married and had kids with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Garner, respectively — it wasn't until summer 2022 that the stars wed, once in July and again in August. The actor and actress, both 28, met on the set of Marvel's 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' in 2016, and news of their engagement was confirmed after Zendaya flashed a big, sparkly diamond ring on her left ring finger at the Golden Globes in January this year. A date for the smitten couple's special day has not been confirmed, but Benson, 22, has said he is willing to perform at their ceremony when the time comes. The 'Beautiful Things' hitmaker told E! News at the American Music Awards: "Immediate yes. Of course! I'm not going to pass that up!" His comments come after he and Tom were recently spotted having lunch together, and Benson was full of praise for the star.
