Hyderabad / Ranchi: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar praised the remarkable courage displayed by CRPF forces in combating separatism in the Northeastern states, Maoist activities in the Nothern states, and terrorism, including in Jammu and Kashmir. Bandi Sanjay on Friday at Jamshedpur garlanded the statue of revolutionary hero Birsa Munda and paid tribute to him. Then, visited the CRPF headquarters and inaugurated several new buildings during a ceremony attended by MP Vidyut Baran Mahato, Additional DG Amit Kumar, and officers Shalini and Saket Kumar, along with several senior police officials. He inaugurated 480 Type-2 and 24 Type-3 family quarters, as well as a storage building, a tradesman's shop, a 20-bed hospital, an officers' mess, and a main barracks for 180 personnel, on a 165-acre site at the CRPF Group Headquarters in Jamshedpur. 'These residential quarters will provide a safe environment for CRPF jawans and their families, ensuring their children receive a good education and enabling the personnel to serve the country with peace of mind,' Bandi Sanjay stated.

He also said, "The CRPF is one of the finest paramilitary forces in the world. We cannot forget their bravery and sacrifices for the motherland. Whether it's fighting terrorism and separatism in Jammu & Kashmir, confronting insurgency in the Northeast, or eliminating Maoist threats in central India, CRPF's valour is truly extraordinary." On the paramilitary force's role during elections, Kumar said, "The deployment of CRPF during state assembly elections across the country reflects the nation's trust in the force. It plays a crucial role in conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections, safeguarding the democratic process. Currently, the CRPF is playing a key role in countering Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in J&K, restoring peace, and neutralizing terrorists. They are also crucial in ensuring the safe conduct of the Amarnath Yatra." He also commended the role of the force, particularly in Manipur, in stabilising the situation and restoring peace in the northeastern state. "In Maoist-affected regions of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, the CRPF operations and initiatives aligned with govt policies have motivated hundreds of rebels to surrender, renounce violence and return to the mainstream," he said. Union Minister Bandi Sanjay lays foundation for Rs 36.3 crore water supply project in Telangana

Karimnagar, June 9 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar laid the foundation stone for a Rs 36.3 crore water improvement project under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme at Nallalabavi in Choppadandi town on Monday. The initiative aims to provide safe and adequate drinking water to every household in Choppadandi Municipality. Accompanied by local MLA Medipally Satyam and former MLA Bodige Shobha, the Minister inaugurated the project that includes the construction of a 46.21 km pipeline network, a 1500 KL elevated water reservoir, and water sump facilities. The project is expected to benefit 2,800 households. Speaking to the media on the occasion, Bandi Sanjay revealed that Rs 2.99 lakh crore is being spent nationwide under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, with Rs 76,760 crore as the Centre's share and the remainder contributed by states and municipalities. In Telangana alone, Rs 6,876 crore is being spent under AMRUT 1 and 2.0, with the Centre contributing Rs 3,591.72 crore. For the joint Karimnagar district, Rs 852.11 crore has been sanctioned under both AMRUT phases. Specifically for the Choppadandi project, the Centre has allocated Rs 17.89 crore, the state Rs 15.11 crore, and the local municipality Rs 3.30 crore. Highlighting the urgency of urban water needs, the Minister said, 'With urban populations expected to exceed 50 per cent by 2047, water supply must be scaled up from the current 60–69 litres per capita to the required 136 litres per day.' He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision behind AMRUT and noted that earlier delays due to land issues have now been resolved, allowing the project to proceed. MLA Medipally Satyam also expressed gratitude to the Centre and the state government, assuring that Choppadandi will soon become a model constituency in Telangana through comprehensive development efforts. Bandi Sanjay inaugurates road Works worth Rs 31.12 crore in Karimnagar

Karimnagar, June 7 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar asserted that the Narendra Modi-led Central Government is giving top priority to road construction and infrastructure development across the country. He said that the Karimnagar Parliament constituency is witnessing significant internal road development under the National Employment Guarantee Scheme, with works worth Rs 31.12 crore currently underway. The Union Minister inaugurated a newly constructed internal road in Qazipur village of Kothapalli mandal on Saturday. The road, completed under the Employment Guarantee Scheme, was built for Rs14 lakh. He later laid the foundation stone for a market shed in Asif Nagar, Kothapalli Mandal, which is being taken up with Rs 9.50 lakh from the MP Local Area Development (MPLADS) funds. Speaking at the event, Bandi Sanjay said, 'This year alone, Rs 74 lakh has been allocated for road construction in Kothapalli Mandal. I am pleased to inaugurate this road in Ghazipur, which is part of a broader initiative to enhance rural connectivity under the employment scheme.' Highlighting the Centre's extensive efforts in road infrastructure, he informed that under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), Rs 291 crore has been spent in the Karimnagar Parliamentary segment, resulting in the construction of 1,341 km of roads. Additionally, hundreds of crores have been utilized under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) to build roads in remote villages. He noted that nearly Rs 5,000 crore has been spent on National Highway works in Karimnagar Parliament. 'Highway projects between Karimnagar-Warangal and Siddipet-Elkathurthi are progressing rapidly. We are also set to begin construction of the Karimnagar-Jagityala highway very soon,' he added. Referring to the Rajiv Gandhi Highway, he said the Central Government is ready to widen it using National Highway funds. However, he pointed out that the road is currently under a state-level maintenance contract. 'If the state government resolves the issue with the existing contractor and submits proposals, we are prepared to take up the widening project without delay,' he assured. UNI VV BD
