Apoorva Mukhija Reveals She Had To Vacate House After India's Got Latent Row
New Delhi:
Apoorva Mukhija AKA Rebel Kid, who was on the panel with Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani in Samay Raina's India's Got Latent, came under the public ire after the controversial clip of using obscene language went viral. FIRs were filed soon after. Apoorva, who's currently a part of Amazon Prime's reality show The Traitors, revealed in a recent interview that she was forced to move out of the building after the Police came to summon her.
What's Happening
In an interview with Mashable India, Apoorva revealed that the building authority - where she stays in Mumbai - asked her to vacate the house after the Police came to summon her.
"Because the cops came to my house to put up a notice and to summon me, the building management raised a complaint that 'cops are coming to this building, it's wrong, that's why we don't allow bachelors, that's why we don't rent out to single women'.
"So somehow, I was single handedly responsible for evacuating feminism out of that building. So the owner told me to leave. I stayed in that house for one year only," said Apoorva.
In a vlog shared after the controversy, in April, Apoorva shared that she couldn't go back to the house as she was scared of being attacked. "I started reading my DMs and they were all graphic of how people want to rape me, throw acid and stuff like that," she shared at the time.
About India's Got Latent Row
Ranveer Allahbadia found himself in troubles after he made a controversial remark about parents and sex. During his appearance on India's Got Latent show, Ranveer Allahbadia had asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever." The Internet heavily schooled him after the comments went viral and multiple police complaints were filed against him. Apporva, who was on the panel as well, also faced legal consequences.

Sudhanshu Pandey On KJo's The Traitors: ‘No Phone, No WiFi, It Was Peaceful'
Last Updated: Sudhanshu Pandey shared that the experience in The Traitors was meditative, as there were no phones, no internet and just one TV. Sudhanshu Pandey has stayed away from television since he exited Anupamaa. After leaving the daily soap, he wanted to try something different. Now, he's back in action as a contestant on The Traitors, a reality show hosted by Karan Johar, where he's competing with 19 others. At first, the show may seem like something out of his comfort zone, but Sudhanshu actually found it very peaceful. He shared that the experience was 'meditative," as there were no phones, no internet and just one TV. This gave him a chance to observe others closely and think more about human nature. In a recent conversation with ETimes, the actor speaking about the experience on the show and what he's learnt so far, he said, 'It was a very meditative space to be in because we would play the whole day and then go back to our rooms at night and be just completely by yourself. There was only one TV, there was no internet, there was nothing, there was no phone, there was no WiFi. So you were completely disconnected." 'I was observing everybody there and how they behave. They were splitting their personality every other second. You realise, there are all sorts of people there. So, it makes you sit and observe the kind of people around you or what kind of people are they growing into. It was a great observation class for me and a great vacation, I would say," Sudhanshu Pandey explained. The Anupama star feels that for Karan Johar, hosting The Traitors must have been tough for him. Since the filmmaker enjoys talking and connecting with people, staying silent and serious for a show like this was not easy for him. He had to hold back his usual energy and remain calm. Sudhanshu also spoke about why he doesn't expect to have fights with anyone on the show. He explained that he always treats people with respect, and because of that, he usually gets the same respect back. Sudhanshu Pandey further explained that he didn't plan any special strategy for the show. He decided to just be himself and act naturally, without pretending or showing any fake image. For him, a reality show is meant to show the true side of a person. Since he has been in the industry for many years, he feels this is a good chance for the audience to see his real side. He wants people to connect with the real version of him. Other than Sudhansu Pandey, The Traitors also feature Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sufi Motiwala and Uorfi Javed. Exclusive - Sudhanshu Pandey breaks silence on Harsh Gujral's below the belt comments linking him to Elnaaz Norouzi in 'The Traitors'
Anupamaa fame actor Sudhanshu Pandey finally addressed the uncomfortable comment made by comedian Harsh Gujral on the reality show The Traitors. Fans, who had been urging Sudhanshu to speak up, raised the topic during the live chat, asking how he felt about Harsh's loose statement suggesting Sudhanshu was 'going gaga over Elnaaz Norouzi' and that he "needed to be controlled. " The remark, which many found cheap and disrespectful, did not sit well with audiences, especially those who have admired Sudhanshu Pandey's dignified and graceful conduct throughout the show. Sudhanshu, known for his calm and composed personality, responded in a subtle but firm manner. He expressed genuine disappointment at Harsh Gujral's choice of words and how the incident personally affected him and his family. While talking to Times of India TV, Sudhanshu said, "Humour should never come at the cost of someone's dignity. When I heard what Harsh Gujral said about me, I was sitting with my family, watching the show together. It became an extremely awkward and uncomfortable moment for all of us, especially for my kids. Some things cannot be brushed off as a joke." He further said, "Words carry weight, especially when said on public platforms. I genuinely believe people like Harsh Gujral, who come from the comedy space, should think very carefully before making such loose comments about anyone, let alone a senior actor. I have always chosen to play my game and live my life with dignity, grace, and respect, and I sincerely hope people realise that some lines should never be crossed in the name of humour - never!" Throughout "The Traitors", Sudhanshu Pandey has won over fans for his powerful game play. Unlike others who get caught in controversies, he has kept his game clean, sharp, and respectful, staying away from dirty tactics and drama. Pandey called out his co-contestant on the show for her "disrespectful tone" while addressing a senior actor. The actor, in his Instagram live video, questioned the current generation for casually referring to a veteran like Vidyarthi. He said, "Apoorva, who is known as The Rebel Kid, already has enough controversies surrounding her. I'm not saying she's a bad person." He emphasised how the choice of words can ruin people's perception, even if someone is a good person. The actor further said, "She's a good kid. I'm sure she has a good heart too. But jab aapki zubaan kharaab ho jaaye na, toh wo sab kuch kharaab kar deti hai (Your tone and words can damage everything)." "Everything else goes for a toss if you do not have the know-how about what to say, and how to speak, about people who are senior to you. Ashish bhai- Ashish Vidyarthi- who is such a senior actor-he's very senior to me as well. So, behind my back, she was talking about Ashish bhai, and was saying, ' Mujhe lagta hai Ashish jayega . (I feel Ashish will go)'," he added. Pandey reflected that Mukhija's tone of addressing Vidyarthi sounded as if he was her childhood friend. He said, " Ashish jayega (Ashish will go)? Is he your childhood friend or what? What kind of way is this to talk about people â€' about actors who are older than even your parents?" The actor called such behaviour "a curse on our society." "You're talking about them like this behind their back? What does this say about you? Please tell me â€' is this Gen Z? Is this what we think is cool? No, I'm sorry â€' this is not cool at all," he went on. The 'Anupamaa' actor further said, "You abuse anyone, disrespect people. Is this what Gen Z is all about? Then I feel sorry for them." "Even I have kids, and even they are Gen-Z and they are extremely respectful to other people. So I am sorry, I think there are a lot of problems. It breaks my heart," he added.
