2027 Chevy Bolt is Coming: Our Best Guesses on Its Radical New Look

Set to be unveiled later this year, Chevrolet's popular subcompact electric hatchback is due to receive a massive overhaul for its upcoming second generation. As one of the most affordable EVs in North America, the Chevrolet Bolt has won over hundreds of thousands of buyers over the course of its lifetime. Hoping to continue the success of the model, Chevrolet has been tasked with enhancing the model's appeal to its loyal fanbase, and critical factors such as increased interior space, enhanced battery range, and modernized style will determine whether the model's appeal continues into its next generation, or if it'll be eaten alive by increasingly competitive rivals. Using generative text-to-image artificial intelligence software and Adobe Photoshop, we take an imagined look at what the second-generation Chevrolet Bolt might look like. Integrating styling cues from contemporary Chevrolet models, such as the Trailblazer, Blazer EV, and Equinox EV, we can get a sense of what the brand's updated design language might look like when applied to a subcompact hatchback that more closely resembles the size of a Bolt, albeit with a minor increase to reflect enhanced cabin and cargo space. The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt will likely retain similar proportions to its popular predecessor, keeping things understated and modest in terms of style, and continuing the Bolt's reputation for admirable functionality. At the same time, we can expect the Bolt's design to take plenty of inspiration from its more sizeable siblings, namely the Equinox EV and the Blazer EV, forming a cohesive lineup of up-to-date EV hatchbacks and crossovers. With the reintegration of the Bolt into Chevrolet's all-electric model portfolio, General Motors will have one of the most diverse and respected ranges of electric vehicles available to North American buyers. Although we don't have much official news from Chevrolet yet, we can safely assume that the second-gen Chevy Bolt will have improved range over its preceding generation, increased size to accommodate a more spacious interior, enhanced cargo space, and, of course, revamped styling. The Bolt's next-gen enhancements will likely aim to make the model more competitive with freshly updated rivals such as the Hyundai Kona EV and incoming additions to the segment, such as the highly anticipated Rivian R3. According to Car & Driver, production of the second-generation Chevrolet Bolt will begin sometime this year, meaning we should see an official unveiling from the legacy American automaker any day now. Destined to hit showrooms just in time for the 2027 model year, it seems like the Bolt is a serious priority for General Motors at the moment. The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt will be produced at GM's Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City, and the automaker has apparently also teased "another next-generation affordable EV to be built alongside the Bolt in Kansas City, Kansas," according to Car & Driver. We're left with nothing but guesses at the moment about what this mysterious second affordable EV could be, but our best assumptions suggest that it could be a replacement for the Bolt EUV, a variant of the subcompact electric hatchback with more rugged styling and a raised suspension. Although the Chevrolet Bolt may not be the most exciting topic of conversation for diehard automotive enthusiasts, the electric subcompact hatchback has proven to be a popular model with North American buyers looking for an affordable EV that can serve as a daily driver for inner-city life. With hatchback practicality, comfortable seating for five, and a fully-electric range of up to 259 miles, the Chevrolet Bolt has cemented its reputation for frugal functionality. Shockingly, when General Motors discontinued the model back in 2023, the automaker had no plans for a replacement. Thankfully, it seems that the executives at GM have changed their minds and recognized that leaving the Bolt without a replacement would only be doing themselves and their loyal buyers a massive disservice. As we eagerly await more news from Chevrolet, we can't help but be glad that the automaker hasn't given up on such a sensible model as the Bolt. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. 5 powerful AI image editing tools you can use right now

For years, photo editing has been a skill that requires expertise and experience. But with artificial intelligence getting better and easier to use with each passing day, and precisely identifying elements like faces, skies and objects, one does not need to use complex digital tools like Adobe Photoshop to edit images. If you are looking for generative AI-powered image editors, from Canva to Google Photos, here are some of the best tools available on the internet. Adobe Photoshop, one of the most popular image editing tools on the planet, also has a built-in AI-powered image editor. Powered by the company's Firefly model, Photoshop users can use features like the Remove Tool, which lets users remove unwanted elements from their pictures at the click of a button. You can also use features the Curvature Pen Tool, Match Font, Sky Replacement, Object Selection, Refine Edge, and Preserve Details 2.0 to instantly improve your images and make them visually appealing. If you are looking to expand an image using AI, try Photoshop's Generative Fill. Canva has been the go-to tool for millions around the world to edit and modify images. The platform also features an AI photo editor, which offers tools like Magic Edit, Magic Eraser, AI Frames, and Background Cleaner, to name a few. While some of these features are free to use, most of them require a paid plan. Pixlr is another popular image editing app that has embraced generative AI. Designed for both beginners and professionals, the platform is available as an app and can also be accessed directly from a mobile device. Some notable AI features include Generative Fill, Generative Expand, and AI Face Swap. It also boasts a new feature called Talent AI Profiles, which are presets created by the best photographers that let you modify images to your liking. Some of the more advanced features on the platform include Crop, Straighten, Subject, and Smooth Skin. Most Android phones come pre-installed with Google Photos, the tech giant's cloud storage service that also doubles up as an image editor. This is hands down one of the best apps for adjusting lighting, improving clarity and even removing unwanted objects. Some of the AI-powered features include Magic Eraser, Magic Editor, Unblur, Portrait Light, and Cinematic Photos.

Microsoft's new Copilot Vision can ‘see' your apps on Windows

Microsoft is launching Copilot Vision for Windows today, an extension of its AI assistant that lets you share your screen or apps so that Copilot can do things like coach you through using Adobe Photoshop features or analyze the photos and webpages you're looking at. 'When you choose to enable it, Copilot Vision can see what you see and talk to you about it in real time,' says the Copilot team. 'It acts as your second set of eyes, able to analyze content, help when you're lost, provide insights, and answer your questions as you go.' Microsoft first started testing Copilot Vision in Windows earlier this year, and now it's launching in the US for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. You'll need a Copilot Pro subscription, which is $20 per month, to access the feature, as it's still part of Microsoft's experimental Copilot Labs AI initiatives. Copilot Vision on Windows works within the Copilot app and can be activated through a glasses icon that lets you select a browser window or app that you want to share with the AI — much like sharing your screen or apps in a Microsoft Teams meeting. It's an opt-in experience, where you'll have to specifically share your apps for Copilot Vision to work; it's not like Recall, where it's continuously taking snapshots of your screen once it's enabled. I haven't been able to fully test Copilot Vision on Windows because Microsoft is limiting the experience to the US, but I did get a brief hands-on with it at Microsoft's 50th anniversary event in April. Once you share an app, Copilot is then able to highlight parts of your screen to guide you and help answer questions. You can also use .

Could the New Honda Prelude Spark a Comeback for Other Sport Coupes?

With the imminent arrival of Honda's resurrected Prelude sparking enthusiasm worldwide, its reception still remains divided over whether a hybrid-powered, CVT-equipped two-door coupe is a worthwhile successor to the now legendary nameplate. Honda's bold strategy to offer a personal compact coupe with mechanical furnishings not far off from that of a Toyota Prius, combined with simulated shift points and flappy paddles to add a sense of excitement, is a move that has drawn plenty of skepticism. However, the way in which it plays out could permanently alter the way that affordable sports cars are marketed. If the upcoming Honda Prelude's development strategy proves popular, perhaps we could see other manufacturers offering their own compact sport coupes with running gear borrowed from more frugal models. If Honda's upcoming Prelude proves to be a sales success, it could prompt rival automakers to resurrect their own iconic compact sport coupes with similar hybridized powertrains and simulated excitement, allowing them to once again offer fun-focused models without having to develop entirely new powertrains and platforms. Using generative text-to-image artificial intelligence and Adobe Photoshop, we take an imagined look at what some hypothetically revived compact sport coupes could look like from a variety of manufacturers. These renders in no way resemble any actual products and are exclusively for speculative and entertainment purposes. Taking style inspiration from the polarizing Hyundai Ioniq 6, reviving the Tiburon nameplate could be an excellent way for Hyundai to take on Honda's upcoming Prelude. The Korean automaker has come an extremely long way since the Tiburon was discontinued from its lineup back in 2008, and an all-new Tiburon could provide an excellent opportunity to show off just how much progress they've made. Equipped with the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which, when paired with a 51-kW electric motor, makes 192 horsepower in the 2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, the revived Tiburon could directly mirror the Prelude's development philosophy, albeit with Hyundai tech and engineering, and a genuine six-speed automatic transmission instead of a CVT. For the purist enthusiasts out there, the development of a revived Tiburon sport coupe could also open up the opportunity for a more hardened performance variant, possibly powered by the same 276-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine found in the Hyundai Elantra N, paired with the buyer's choice of either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. With these two hypothetical variants, the resurrected Hyundai Tiburon could cover a lot of enthusiast ground, appealing to both the hardcore purists and progressive, athletic modernists alike. A true Fast & Furious icon, the Mitsubishi Eclipse was once one of the most desirable compact sport coupes on the market, combining daily driver practicality with agile handling and torquey, turbocharged powertrain options. Reviving the Eclipse nameplate could go a long way towards rejuvenating Mitsubishi's brand image, which has lost plenty of steam in recent years thanks to the automaker's discontinuation of every single remotely exciting model from its lineup. Diluted with monotonous crossovers, Mitsubishi needs something to remind the world that it's still in business. Whether it employs a modified variant of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV's plug-in hybrid 2.4-liter four-cylinder powertrain or something juicier and turbocharged, we'd love to see something spicy back in Mitsubishi's portfolio of automobiles. Enthusiasts have been begging Toyota for a new Celica since the model was discontinued in 2006, and recent rumors suggest that their cries may soon be answered. Whether it will equip a similar, 300-horsepower, turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine as found in the GR Corolla, or a Prius-sourced, 196-horsepower hybrid powertrain with all-wheel drive, we're eagerly awaiting more information about Toyota's rumored upcoming sports coupe. As Honda's official release of the resurrected Prelude nears ever closer, we can't help but feel nostalgic about the glory days of the personal compact sport coupe, a segment that reigned supreme throughout the 1980s and '90s in North America. It seemed every manufacturer offered a small, sporty coupe of their own, reflecting an appreciation for frugal fun that seems to have been lost to the sands of time ever since. When the all-new Prelude returns, and if it proves popular, it's possible that we could see a resurgence of compact sporty coupes, albeit with an entirely modernized philosophy. Only time will tell, but the Honda Prelude has us feeling incredibly optimistic for the future of the affordable two-door coupe. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
