Mariah May No More? WWE gives her a glamorous NXT rebrand
Image via Mariah May's X Mariah May has got a new identity after her shocking move to WWE . The WWE Universe was left stunned last week at the end of the NXT tapings. One of the most popular stars from AEW, Mariah May, had arrived in the Stamford-based promotion and left everyone talking. She declared that NXT was about to become glamorous, carrying forward her AEW gimmick in the company. However, there has been an alteration made to May's identity, which was revealed in a glamour-filled NXT vignette, introducing the former AEW Women's World Champion in a new light. What is Mariah May's new ring name in WWE? On the June 10th edition of WWE NXT, a vignette aired to hype the arrival of Mariah May in the promotion. She was seen bathing in a bathtub and applying lipstick while embracing the glamour. A narrator repeatedly emphasized 'Glamour' and as the promo came to an end, they said, "The glamour is ... Blake Monroe." This has been introduced as May's character rebranded with the NXT flavor. Mariah May had been vocal about WWE being her ultimate destination for years. After failing in her WWE Tryout many years ago, she scratched and clawed her way to becoming a popular figure on the indies. This led to WWE's rival promotion, AEW, signing her to a contract. Upon her debut, May was paired with "Timeless" Toni Storm as her protégée. Following months of successful partnership, May betrayed her to begin their feud. It even saw The Glamour win the AEW Women's World Championship in her home country of England at All In 2024. The feud continued for months and came to its conclusion at AEW Revolution. It was the gruesome 'Hollywood Ending' match where May lost to Toni Storm, which eventually became her last appearance for the company. Following months of inactivity amidst multiple rumors of her exit, it proved to be true as Mariah May made her NXT debut last week. She immediately targeted the new NXT Women's Champion, Jacy Jayne, and now, with her new identity in WWE, things are about to get glamorous for NXT and most importantly for Blake Monroe. Update On Why Wardlow Has Not Returned To AEW TV
Wardlow has been missing from AEW television, and it appears it's for a few reasons. AEW star Wardlow has not been on television for over a year. His last match was a world title match against Samoa Joe on the 'Big Business' episode of Dynamite in March 2024. According to Fightful (via Fightful Select), Wardlow suffered what was believed to be a torn labrum injury sometime in the spring of 2024. Advertisement He was later involved in a car accident, which he wrote about in April 2024. Fightful stressed that the accident did not cause the injury, but made it worse. During an appearance on the Stick to Wrestling Podcast, Matt Taven said Wardlow had been dealing with a 'knee injury.' However, Fightful's report did not mention any other injuries besides the initial one. Wardlow also landed a significant acting role In addition, Wardlow landed what was described as a 'very appropriate and special' television role earlier this year. In March, it was reported that the former TNT Champion was backstage at AEW Revolution. Despite that, he was not planned on being used due to recovering from the injury and working on outside projects. He is cleared to compete now, but he met with Tony Khan, and both sides agreed that bringing him back to TV didn't make sense yet since he'd have to leave again for the TV role. Advertisement Wardlow has a 'significant amount of time' left on his AEW contract and is expected to be with AEW for a long time. 'Mr. Mayhem' has been with AEW since 2019 and had a lengthy run as MJF's bodyguard. After turning on MJF, he then won the TNT Championship three times, with the last reign coming in 2023. Wardlow later joined the Undisputed Kingdom, and he was with the group until his AEW hiatus began. The post Update On Why Wardlow Has Not Returned To AEW TV appeared first on Wrestlezone.

Bryan Danielson Makes Surprise Wrestling Appearance Amid AEW Hiatus
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. AEW star Bryan Danielson made a noteworthy and unexpected appearance at the independent wrestling show "ACTION DEAN~!!!2" on Saturday, May 24, 2025. This was a welcome sight for wrestling fans, particularly as significant questions continue to circulate regarding his future as an active in-ring competitor in All Elite Wrestling. During the event, Danielson entered the ring and shared a respectful hug with the legendary luchador Blue Panther. This interaction was a special moment for those in attendance and quickly generated buzz online. This public appearance at a wrestling show is Danielson's first in front of a live crowd since his last official AEW match at the WrestleDream pay-per-view in October 2024. At that event, the celebrated former World Champion was defeated by his Blackpool Combat Club stablemate, Jon Moxley, in a hard-fought AEW World Championship main event. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation In the periods both before and after WrestleDream 2024, Danielson had spoken openly and reflectively about his in-ring career potentially nearing its conclusion. These candid remarks led many fans and observers to speculate whether he had already wrestled his final match, making his recent appearance at "ACTION DEAN~!!!2" all the more intriguing. He reportedly fulfills various backstage roles, which can include being a disciplinary figure when necessary, leveraging his vast experience and respected standing within the industry. Jeff Jones/AEW The primary reason for Danielson's reduced in-ring schedule and the uncertainty surrounding his future performances stems from ongoing health concerns. He is reportedly dealing with "serious neck problems" and, according to reports, "has yet to get surgery for them." This physical challenge is a major factor as he considers if and when he will compete again. His appearance at the independent show was non-physical, with no indication of a return to strenuous in-ring action at that specific event. Fans of "The American Dragon" will continue monitoring his status closely, hoping for positive news regarding his health and a potential return to the squared circle, while appreciating his continued contributions to AEW in his backstage capacity. Regardless of what Danielson does, he has had a great career. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
