US warplanes launched six airstrikes Wednesday targeting Yemen's Saada governorate, said the Houthi group.
'Six American enemy airstrikes targeted the Sahlin area in Al-Salem district,' the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV channel said on X.
No information was immediately available regarding casualties or the extent of material damage.
The US has not released a statement so far on the strikes.
The Houthis have targeted ships passing through the Red and Arabian seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden since November 2023 in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where more than 51,300 people have been killed in a brutal Israeli assault since October 2023.
The group halted attacks when a ceasefire in Gaza was declared in January between Israel and the Palestinian resistance group Hamas but resumed them after Israel renewed airstrikes on the enclave last month.

If US joins 'Israeli' attack on Iran, we will target their ships in Red Sea, warn Houthis

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree today issued a strong statement reiterating the group's principled and steadfast rejection of 'Zionist aggression' against their Arab and Islamic brothers in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and any other Arab or Islamic country subjected to 'Israeli' attacks, as reflected in previous declarations. The statement described the ongoing battle against the 'Israeli' enemy, particularly its recent aggression targeting Iran, as part of a broader pattern of crimes committed against the Palestinian people, including mass killings and continuous attacks on the Lebanese and Syrian peoples, as well as Yemen itself. The recent escalation against the Islamic Republic of Iran under the guise of 'changing the face of the Middle East' was described as an attempt by Israel, backed by open American support and partnership, to gain full control over the region. Israel enemy sees Iran as the largest obstacle to the realization of its plan. Accordingly, the statement warned that any American aggression supporting 'Israel' against Iran as part of this goal to enable 'Israeli' dominance over the entire region will not be tolerated. Such actions would mean the confiscation of the freedom, independence, dignity, and identity of Arab and Islamic nations, their enslavement, humiliation, occupation of their lands, theft of their resources, and the establishment of a dangerous precedent for the desecration of lives, honor, land, and holy sites. Yahya Saree affirmed that this battle is a collective one for the entire nation. Salvation, pride, and victory lie in action and jihad in the way of God, citing Quranic verses emphasizing fighting in God's cause and divine support for believers who stand firm. The statement further declared that in the event of any American involvement in attacks on Iran alongside Israel, Yemeni forces will target American ships and warships in the Red Sea. The Houthis are closely monitoring all hostile movements in the region, including those against Yemen itself, and will take all necessary and legitimate measures to defend the country and its proud people. Finally, Yahya Saree affirmed the group's unwavering solidarity with any Arab or Islamic country facing Zionist aggression or deciding to confront such aggression in self-defense or in support of the Palestinian resistance fighters. They vowed never to abandon their brothers in Gaza and will not allow this criminal, US-backed entity to realize its plans in the region.

21 Palestinians Martyred by Israeli Gunfire in Gaza, Including 11 Waiting for Aid - Jordan News

21 Palestinians Martyred by Israeli Gunfire in Gaza, Including 11 Waiting for Aid At least 21 Palestinians were martyred and several others injured on Saturday as a result of Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in the Gaza Strip, including 11 individuals who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid. اضافة اعلان According to Palestinian medical sources, six people were killed and at least 10 injured by Israeli gunfire while waiting near an aid distribution point west of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat reported the deaths of five Palestinians and the injury of 15 others as they attempted to obtain aid near the Al-Shohada Junction in central Gaza. Additionally, three Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Zaytoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City, with victims transferred to Ahli Arab (Al-Maamadani) Hospital. Another three Palestinian brothers were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Mansoura Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, while one more Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces northwest of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. Since October 7, 2023, Israel has carried out what has been widely condemned as genocidal acts in Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the aggression. The ongoing assault has resulted in over 186,000 casualties, including martyrs and wounded — the majority being women and children — in addition to more than 11,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, and widespread famine that has claimed the lives of many, including children. — (WAFA)

A Third U.S. Aircraft Carrier Approaches the Middle East - Jordan News

A Third U.S. Aircraft Carrier Approaches the Middle East A U.S. Navy official announced on Friday that the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford will set course for Europe next week, making it the third U.S. aircraft carrier to be positioned near the Middle East amid rising tensions. اضافة اعلان The U.S. military has conducted multiple exercises over the past week following the outbreak of war between Washington's ally Israel and Iran. On Thursday, President Donald Trump gave himself a two-week deadline to decide on possible direct military action against Tehran. According to the Navy official, the Gerald R. Ford is scheduled to depart its home port in Norfolk, on the U.S. East Coast, on the morning of June 24, as part of a pre-planned deployment toward Europe. The USS Gerald R. Ford is the first in a new generation of supercarriers. It weighs 100,000 tons, runs on nuclear power, and officially entered service in 2017. Currently, the USS Carl Vinson has been stationed in the Middle East for several months, having taken part in U.S. airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. Meanwhile, the USS Nimitz, previously anchored in the South China Sea, is also en route to the Middle East. Over the past week, large military aircraft have departed from the U.S. toward American bases in Europe, while dozens of warplanes have been withdrawn from Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar as a precaution against potential Iranian strikes. Before the outbreak of the current conflict, Washington had been engaged in indirect negotiations with Tehran over its nuclear program. However, Iran has refused to resume talks as long as Israeli attacks against it continue. — (Agencies)
