Michael Sheen interview has fans concerned about Amazon Prime series
Michael Sheen has shed light on whether or not fans will be able to watch the eagerly anticipated finale of a controversial Amazon Prime series.
The Welsh actor has featured in Good Omens since it originally premiered on the streaming platform back in 2019.
Playing alongside the demon Crowley, acted by David Tennant, Sheen has captured the hearts of viewers as the angel Aziraphale.
Following two seasons, a feature-length finale was shot for the last season.
But after allegations of sexual misconduct were made by eight women against Neil Gaman – who wrote the book that the series is based upon – the conclusion of the Amazon Prime show seems to be on ice.
Speaking to The Times, Sheen was asked about the future of Good Omens. He said: ' I really don't know what's going to happen with it.
'We were both relieved we finished the story, but that's within this really difficult, complicated, disturbing context. I hope people get to see it, but that, to a large extent, is out of our hands.'
Responding to his comments, @mosie_v said on X: 'Oh dear, that doesn't sound very positive.'
@jame_2206 added: 'Oh no, that doesn't sound confident…'
Taking to Reddit, cjm-timelord11 said: 'I've seen a few interviews where they've said it's 'out of their hands'. Would Amazon really shelf it after it's shot and edited? It's good at least to see him actually acknowledge the accusations now though.'
ACatFromCanada added: 'This is so upsetting. Why would Amazon pull the plug again at this stage?!'
@thavron.bsky.social echoed this by writing: 'I mean I can't see prime spending all that money making it if they weren't going to release it. They might sit on it until things move on a bit but eesh. This doesn't make me feel good…'
The claims against Gaiman, which include accusations that he sexually assaulted a woman in a bath, were published in New York Magazine, with five women's claims having first been reported on a Tortoise Media podcast called Master last year.
One of the women who has spoken out against the Good Omens author is Scarlett Pavlovich, who was working as the nanny for his five-year-old son at the time.
Pavlovich was included in the initial complaints published by Tortoise Media, but has now told New York Magazine how he assaulted her while his son was in the hotel room.
She claims that Gaiman raped her under the covers after she tried to signal to him she did not wish to have sex and asked: 'What the f**k are you doing.' More Trending
During the alleged assault on February 19, 2022, Pavlovich claimed he continued to speak to his son, who was playing on an iPad and facing the bed.
She says she was in a 'state of shock' and froze as Gaiman urinated on his hand and told her to 'lick it off'. He then allegedly insisted she give him oral sex while the bathroom door was still open.
The author has denied the allegations, stating that all relationships were consensual, and has since told New York Magazine this hotel incident was 'false' and 'deplorable'.

Newport play written and performed by homeless people
'The Visitor' was developed over 10 weeks as part of The Story Project, a two-year storytelling project funded by Arts Council Wales. This has developed as a collaborative effort between Welsh homelessness charity The Wallich, Owen Thomas, the Riverfront Theatre, Sherman Theatre, Grand Ambition in Swansea, Carmarthenshire Theatres, Theatr Clwyd, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Awen Cultural Trust, and National Theatre Wales. The performance aimed to challenge stereotypes by showcasing talent and creativity, offering new perspectives on homelessness. The heart of the story lies in the journey of the Visitor, portrayed by Osian Lloyd, an emerging actor who is also a participant in the Story Project. The Visitor's adventure in Newport begins after his bus breaks down. Initially, he holds certain prejudices against the city, known for violence and antisocial behaviour. But The Professor, a character in the play, guides him on a time-travelling adventure, revealing vital moments of Newport's history. These included the 1830s uprising led by John Frost and the Chartists, the symbolism of the transporter bridge in the 1900s, the lively music scene of the 1980s, and finally, a glimpse into modern-day Newport. The narrative then becomes a moving testament to shared experiences and creativity. The play was presented as a script-in-hand performance by a group supported by The Wallich through the Gwent BOOST Project, with the assistance of other project participants. Despite a tight six-week schedule, the cast, under the guidance of Newport practitioner Naomi Norman and Owen Thomas, managed to integrate their personal experiences and connections to Newport into an engaging story. The performance concluded on a hopeful note, with the Visitor deciding to extend his stay in Newport, changing his previously negative impression of the town. The Story Project has been transformative, paving the way for new partnerships, friendships, talents, and even careers. People homeless from Cardiff, Swansea, Aberystwyth, Wrexham, Ammanford, and Llanelli have all participated in the initiative. The project aims to introduce or reintroduce the enchantment of theatre and the arts, encouraging people homeless to share their stories and develop new creative and technical skills.

Madonna slammed by Hamilton star for 'using iPad during Broadway performance'
Hamilton star Anthony Ramos has claimed Madonna spent a whole performance of the Broadway show on her iPad, and has told her 'you don't have to stay here' Twister's star Anthony Ramos has claimed that Madonna caused quite the stir during her visit to a Hamilton show on Broadway. The 33-year-old actor, who played the original roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, recounted the incident when the pop icon attended a performance, and his co-stars also made the same claim about the Queen of Pop. Ramos, appearing on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live last Thursday, recalled: "The most terrifying was Madonna with her iPad in her face. She was like this [shining a light] the whole time. "I was like, 'Damn, shorty. If you're not enjoying it that much, you know the door is right there. You don't have to stay here.'". Lin-Manuel Miranda, the musical's mastermind who also starred as Alexander Hamilton, seemed to reference the episode involving The Material Girl in a now-erased tweet back in April 2015. He had written: "Tonight was the first time I asked stage management NOT to allow a celebrity (who was texting all through Act 2) backstage. #noselfieforyou." Madonna's representative, however, countered these allegations, telling Us Weekly: "It's not true. She was invited backstage four different times. She texted post-show when they were doing their fundraising pitch. Madonna had already made a generous donation." Jonathan Groff, who portrayed King George in the production, didn't hold back either, bluntly claiming "that b**** was on her phone." He noted at the time: "You couldn't miss it from the stage. It was a black void of the audience in front of us and her face there perfectly lit by the light of her iPhone through three-quarters of the show." Back in April 2015, Playbill claimed Queen of Pop, Madonna, attended the show at The Public Theatre, but wasn't invited backstage after it was wrapped. Ramos recently reunited with his Hamilton castmates, including Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Leslie Odom, Jr., Okieriete Onaodowan, and Phillipa Soo, at the Tony Awards. To mark the musical's 10th anniversary, the cast performed a medley of tracks including Non-Stop, My Shot, History Has Its Eyes on You and The Room Where It Happens. Hamilton received a whopping 16 nominations at the 70th Tony Awards and won 11 awards. After starring in Hamilton, Ramos appeared in Miranda's 2021 musical, In The Heights. He also starred in 2024's Twisters with Daisy Edgar Jones and Glen Powell.
