England set to be hotter than parts of Spain amid 'very warm' Met Office verdict
Spring is now in full swing, and brighter skies and warmer temperatures have arrived.
This year, the UK experienced its sunniest March on record and sunny weather has followed in April.
Many will now be looking forward to summer holidays, including getting a good dose of sun abroad.

Popular destinations include countries in the Mediterranean like Spain, Portugal and Italy.
But it seems the warm weather is visiting England, with the country set to be hotter than parts of Spain in a matter of days.
Weather maps from WX Charts show the mercury rising to 25C in parts of south-east England on Thursday, May 1.
That would make it hotter than parts of Spain, such as areas around Malaga, where the temperature is expected to be around 20C at the same time, according to wxcharts.com.
Meanwhile, BBC forecasts predict that the temperature could rise to as high as 25C in London on Thursday.
While in its forecast from Tuesday (April 29) to Thursday, the Met Office predicts a bought of "very warm" weather.
It said: "Patchy rain in the north initially, then dry and settled on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Some very warm sunshine.
"A band of cloud introducing cooler air in the north on Thursday."

Met Office issues new heatwave update as thunderstorm timings change amid weather warning
Forecasters have issued an update ahead of thunderstorms making their way across the UK. Heatwave conditions have swept the country in the last few days, with dry weather and scorching temperatures hovering around 30C. But a change is on the way in many areas later today (June 21), the Met Office says. A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms had been issued for almost all of the north, plus parts of Wales and the Midlands. In these areas, there is a chance of lightning strikes and sudden flooding, forecasters say. The warning was previously issued for 13 hours from 3pm today until 4am on Sunday morning. But in an update issued this morning, the Met Office has now changed the times the warning is in force. It will now come into effect at 5pm and last until 3am on Sunday morning. The warning now also covers more areas of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, running as far north-east as Cove Harbour. The changes are more in line with the forecast shown on Met Office maps this morning, which suggest stormy conditions could sweep the North this evening and reaching south-east Scotland. A Met Office spokesperson said: "Whilst some showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected during Saturday afternoon, further and potentially intense thunderstorms are likely to develop during Saturday evening across northwest England and perhaps northeast Wales. Full list of areas hit by 13-hour Met Office thunderstorm warning
The recent spell of hot, dry weather looks set to come to a dramatic conclusion in some parts of the UK. Forecasters from the Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms. The warning had been scheduled to come into effect at 3pm today (June 21) and last until 4am on Sunday morning. It covers a large section of the country - including almost the entire North, plus parts of Wales and the Midlands. The update also saw the warning move into parts of south-east Scotland. In these areas, the Met Office says people should expect 'scattered thunderstorms' which could have a dramatic impact - including flash floods. A Met Office spokesperson said: "Whilst many places will likely remain dry and unaffected, scattered thunderstorms may develop during Saturday afternoon, lasting through the evening hours, moving northeastwards before eventually clearing to the North Sea by the early hours of Sunday.
