Israel-Iran conflict: a look at Tehran's nuclear sites bombed by US
US forces have
attacked three Iranian nuclear and military sites, further upping the stakes in the Israel-Iran war.
US President Donald Trump said the strikes, which he described as 'very successful', had hit the Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan sites, with Fordo being the primary target. The Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran confirmed there were attacks early on Sunday at all three nuclear sites.
Israel launched a surprise barrage of attacks on sites in Iran on June 13, which Israeli officials said was necessary to head off what they claimed was an imminent threat that Iran would build nuclear bombs.
Iran, which has long insisted its nuclear programme is peaceful, has retaliated with a series of missile and drone strikes in Israel, while Israel has continued to strike sites in Iran.
The US and Iran had been in talks that could have resulted in the US lifting some of its crushing economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for Tehran drastically limiting or ending its enrichment of uranium. Until Saturday, Washington had helped shoot down Iranian strikes on Israel but had not launched direct attacks on Iran.
Here's a look at the sites Trump said the US struck and their importance to Iran's nuclear programme.

Suicide bomber kills at least 15 during mass at Syrian church in Damascus
At least 15 people were killed and dozens injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the Mar Elias Church in the Dweila neighbourhood of Syria's capital Damascus on Sunday, security sources said. Syria's interior ministry said the suicide bomber was affiliated with Islamic State . He entered the Christian church, opened fire and then detonated his explosive vest, the ministry said in a statement. A security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said two men were involved in the attack, including the one who blew himself up. Medical sources said the attack killed 15 and injured 25. Some local media reported that children were among the casualties. A live stream from the site by Syria's civil defence, the White Helmets, showed scenes of destruction from within the church, including a bloodied floor and shattered church pews and masonry. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who led the offensive to oust president Bashar al-Assad before taking over in January for a transitional phase, has repeatedly said he will protect minorities during his tenure.

Texas governor signs bill banning Chinese citizens from buying property in the state
A bill to restrict property ownership in Texas by Chinese citizens became law, more than two years after it was first introduced, setting up what could be a prolonged legal and political battle as critics plan to file a suit challenging its constitutionality. Advertisement Governor Greg Abbott, a Republican, announced on Saturday that he had signed the bill, which also targets nationals from Iran North Korea and Russia , into law. Abbott expressed support for the bill in February, writing on social media that the legislation 'would prohibit hostile foreign entities from purchasing land in Texas, and that 'we must get this to my desk this session'. The bill restricts individuals, companies, and government entities from China and the other named countries from purchasing property in the state, exempting US green card holders and citizens. It takes effect on September 1. The initiative allows those who hold valid US visas to purchase property, but only if the property is used as a primary residence. That means nationals from the four countries would not be able to purchase investment properties. Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Photo: The Dallas Morning News/TNS
