is all ready to come back with another gripping, action-oriented venture named 'Dhurandhar.' This time around, he's collaborating for the first time with powerhouse actor Ranveer Singh for a spy thriller based on actual events in India's intelligence past.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the director has already chopped a suspenseful teaser to reveal the scale and energy of Dhurandhar. The teaser guarantees a cinematic experience that's packed with intensity, spying, and high-octane drama. It will be a gift from the makers to Ranveer Singh as well as his fans by giving a first glimpse of this bigger-than-life world of spies and covert missions.
The movie is reportedly 75 percent done and the team is hoping to complete the shoot by September this year.
Although the release date has not been locked yet, sources indicate a theatrical release is being planned for some time between January and March 2026. Following the shoot of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh will start working on 'Don 3' with Farhan Akhtar in October 2025, followed by a zombie-action movie with Jai Mehta later in 2026.
An ensemble cast meets a gripping timeline
What makes Dhurandhar more thrilling is its huge cast of renowned actors like Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal will join Singh on screen. All of them have been offered robust, author-supported roles. The story spans several time zones with the core of the movie unfolding in the politically charged 1970s and 1980s in neighbouring country. Present-day locations have also been filmed but details of those are being guarded closely by the filmmakers to maintain suspense and excitement.
