San Francisco's newly expanded skate park recently got a stamp of approval from the Birdman himself.
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk was in San Francisco on Tuesday to try out the new and improved U.N. Skate Plaza in the city's Civic Center, and was seen pulling off tailslides, kickflips and ollies.
Hawk, the world's most recognizable professional skateboarder, shared video on Instagram of his skate session, and lauded the rehabbed skatepark.

'The UN Skate Plaza recently got an upgrade!' he shared in the video's caption. 'If you build it, we will come… do vert tricks (and sloppy kickflips) on banks and curbs.'
The trip was unannounced, so the video shows only a few people watching him defy physics.

Tamara Barak Aparton, spokesperson for San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department, told SFGATE the city didn't even get a heads-up.
'We were as excited as everyone else to see it,' she told the site.
The park first opened in November 2023, but was revamped earlier this year.

Haley Kalil's Kids Choice Awards Slime Dress Goes Viral

Haley Kalil might've just worn the coolest dress EVER to Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. If you don't know her, she's a model and influencer with over 30 million combined followers across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. She's known for her funny skits and vlogs and collaborating with famous people like Ed Sheeran, Courteney Cox, and the Jonas Brothers. For the awards, which happened last night at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Haley wore an outfit that had Nick kids everywhere screaming with nostalgia. It featured a beige off-shoulder dress with a short train and a long bright green headpiece with shimmering beads and gemstones of varying sizes and colors. It cascaded down Haley's neck and dress, creating the illusion of slime pouring down her body. Haley paired it with an assortment of diamond rings and a layered bracelet to match, along with a set of orange and green slime-themed nails. Here's a closer look: "It's cute!" one fan gushed on Reddit. "Very appropriate for the event." Another agreed, "Kids events should be fun, I like it! A third fan said, "No idea who she is but 10/10 on concept and execution, and she still looks gorge 👏👏👏." While another commented, "She is Looking Camp Right in the Eye 👁️ and I like it." Some especially loved the pairing of the white dress and green headpiece, with one person noting that it "emulate[s] the contrast between a celebrities outfit and the nickelodeon slime." "I think this is cool and creative," someone else added, as different redditor wrote, "Okay now this is fashion I love it." So cool, Haley! Tell me what you think of the look in the comments.

Jam expert Donna Collins trashes Meghan Markle's As Ever apricot spread: ‘There's no excuse for this'

The queen of jam has spoken. Jam expert Donna Collins trashed the new apricot spread from Meghan Markle's As Ever lifestyle brand. 'It's a real disappointment that Meghan is selling a fruit spread, which is what you make when your jam fails,' Collins said, according to the Daily Mail. 9 Donna Collins. 'It can have the best ingredients, but if I had a jam that was too runny, I'd slap a label on it and call it a spread.' 'There's no excuse for this,' Collins added. 'It should be perfect.' 9 Meghan Markle in an Instagram video. @meghan/Instagram 9 Meghan Markle making jam with her daughter, Lilibet. The 'MasterChef' alum, who has reportedly won over 40 world championship honors in jam-making competitions, also called out Markle, 43, for her 'conventionally grown apricots, which will have used pesticides.' 'And why is she using pectin, which is a gelling agent, unless it's because her spread was too runny?' Collins asked. 'Most spreads don't use pectin.' 9 Meghan Markle's homemade jam. @heatherdorak/Instagram On Friday, Markle released her new apricot spread in an individual jar for $9 and keepsake packaging for $14. Both items quickly sold out. 'Her apricot spread sold out in minutes, just like her earlier raspberry spread, which may mean they only made a small batch,' Collins surmised. 'I don't know who's making her spread,' the jam guru continued, 'but we all know it's not Meghan. It sounds like they really don't know what they are doing.' 9 Meghan Markle cooking in her kitchen. meghan/Instagram The Post has reached out to Markle's reps for comment. Markle revealed her plans to sell homemade jam after announcing her own lifestyle company last year. LPGA Legend Slams Women's PGA Setup Amid Slow Play Controversy

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Just weeks ago, Lexi Thompson had to post a personal message on Instagram after receiving backlash at the U.S. Women's Open. Critics blamed her for the slow pace following her rounds with Charley Hull and Nelly Korda. Thompson addressed it, saying: "I'll be the first one to say I'm not as fast as my playing partners the two days, but I'm also the last person that wants to be out there for six hours." Sadly, the issue is haunting golfers again, and this time it's the Women's PGA Championship under fire. The first two rounds at Field Ranch East saw major delays. Players battled not just the brutal Texas heat and swirling winds, but also a course setup that many say made good golf nearly impossible. LPGA legend Stacy Lewis was one of them, who missed the cut after rounds of 78 and 76. "Today it was just hole locations again, on sides of hills," she told Golfweek's journalist on Friday. (Photo by) More Getty Images "Then you throw the wind in there, there was no way to stop it on No. 8 again today. We should be playing the front of that tee, probably 120 yards ... can't hold the green". Lewis, a two-time major winner and former Solheim Cup captain, believes the setup is hurting the pace and viewers' engagement. "We had such a good run with this championship at very good golf courses and then we come here," she said. "The issue of this all too is, make us look good. We're trying to get more people to watch women's golf... and setups like this, they don't help us. This is when we have our biggest stages, network TV and all of that, and we're making very good players look silly". Major winner Stacy Lewis wasn't alone Brooke Henderson also called out the eighth hole, saying, "It's a very firm green and the wind is very strong right to left and down, so it's very tough to hold the green". Nelly Korda, who sits tied for 6th at 2-over after a gritty even-par 72 on Saturday, echoed the frustration. "There is just like no momentum in it," she said, referencing the long waits between holes. "You don't want to be spending 20 minutes and getting up to the next tee... it's another 15 minutes." Korda has seen this before. At last year's Annika Tournament, she won despite a final round that dragged into near darkness due to delays. "You just kind of have to go with it," she continued. "Everyone is going through it... you just have to be really creative and really patient." U.S. Women's Open champion Maja Stark also weighed in, particularly on the par-3 eighth. "I was trying to go long and right of that pin, but it was howling right to left... you don't want to get stuck in the bunkers because they're so deep," she said. "It's very annoying when it's like that, but it's just the mindset switch you need to have". It's surprising to see these issues persist, especially after the LPGA's recent policy overhaul. But with new CEO Craig Harmon set to take over in July, there's hope that course setup and pace-of-play enforcement will finally align with the tour's ambitions. As of Saturday, Minjee Lee lead the championship at 6-under after a third-round 69. Jeeno Thitikul, who led early, slipped to second at 2-under. Lexi Thompson, Miyu Yamashita, and Hye-Jin Choi are tied for third at 1-over. World No. 1 Nelly Korda is part of a four-way tie for sixth at 2-over, alongside Leona Maguire, Yealimi Noh, and Chisato Iwai.
