Now, for the first time, Verma chooses to speak about the path she's walked since, with her head held high and her focus firmly intact. She continues to remain silent on the separation.
'
The negativity and public criticism have never really bothered me since day 1, and it will never bother me ever'
Ask her how she braved the barrage of public judgment in the last couple of months, and she responds, "It doesn't bother me at all! I have surrounded myself with great inner strength, and I am so dedicated that my focus has always been on my work, as I have a lot of responsibilities.
I have guarded myself and have built myself so strong that I just focus on my work, which will speak for everything. The negativity and public criticism have never really bothered me since day 1, and it will never bother me ever.
'
'I am focusing on self-love and inner strength'
For Verma 'it is very simple' to filter out unwarranted opinions. "I prefer to ignore the noise that doesn't contribute to my growth and focus on constructive feedback. I set goals for myself and stay committed to them till I achieve them.
When you know your goals, professionally and personally, it is easier to stay away from the distractions,' she shares.
When asked how changing public perceptions affected her personal space, she remains stoic, never airing dirty laundry but instead focusing on rebuilding herself from the inside out. "I have been working on myself even more now. Even though I have been a very hardworking person, I have now completely changed my lifestyle and am focusing on self-love, inner strength, discipline, exercise, good food, and surrounding myself with people who look up to me.

I want to be a part of a journey that inspires people around me," the former
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa
contestant adds.
'Hope I have inspired more people to make strength their guard and weapon'
The journey hasn't been a walk in the park, but Verma holds tight to her discipline like a compass guiding her through murky waters. "I hope I have inspired more people to make strength their guard and weapon,' she confesses, adding, 'I have been extremely disciplined in my life, and that has been one of the reasons, for me to stay positive and motivated, helping me put out the best work.
Dancing, singing, and acting make me feel alive, as it is my passion, and it is enough to keep me positive.
I stay true to my values and beliefs and keep on reminding myself of the reason why I started this journey. There are tough times, but my passion for my craft helps me stay focused and strong. I believe in working hard and letting it speak for me."
'It has been a phase of growth and self-discovery'
While she chooses to not talk about the split, ask her how she has grown as a person since the split, and the lessons learned, she replies, "The challenges life throws at you teach you some of the most valuable and beautiful lessons.
The biggest thing I have learnt is the importance of self-reliance and how my parents have raised a strong daughter. It has been a phase of growth and self-discovery, and I would like to continue with this as I am appreciative of how it has shaped me as a person.
'
'Clarifying misconceptions often leads to more speculations'
Verma, who was recently seen setting the screen ablaze in her special number
Tinga Linga Sajna
has been a victim to mudslinging—from rumors of her demanding a hefty alimony to being branded a gold digger after Chahal was spotted wearing a provocative slogan tee during their divorce hearing.
Yet, she chooses not to wash her hands in muddy water. "I just want to focus on my work and let it speak for itself. Clarifying misconceptions often leads to more speculations, and if I would want any speculations, I would want it to be only and only around my work.
I am focusing on my personal growth and professional commitments and would want it to be the leading narrative of my life," she explains.
'Your understanding of love evolves over time'
Despite the shadows of a strained separation—Verma and Chahal had gotten married in December 2020—she hasn't turned her back on love.
Her view remains balanced and mature. "I will always say and believe that love is a beautiful aspect of life, and your understanding of it evolves over time. For now, I am focusing on my work and career while simultaneously working on my personal development. I am open to what the future holds for me, but for now, it is my career and my family that are of utmost importance to me,' she affirms.
Verma will soon make her Telugu debut as an actress. "It is an exciting new chapter as I step into acting with this project. I am trying out a new side of storytelling and loving how it challenges me and my craft. I am just excited about everything I'll learn," she concludes.

Dhanashree remains grounded through her craft, spirituality, and a commitment to positivity, choosing to prioritize self-improvement and genuine support over negativity. With grace and candour, the choreographer-actress spoke about rising above personal trials, online scrutiny, and how a deeply rooted sense of purpose and spirituality continue to anchor her in both her personal and professional life. Excerpts... Dhanashree opened up about navigating personal challenges, public scrutiny, and the unwavering support of her family—especially her mother, who recently went viral for praising her strength and growth post-divorce. Reacting to the moment, she said, "My mother recently praised my hard work, and it was such a special, organic moment. We were just walking out of a store when it happened. It wasn't planned, just something heartfelt that was captured naturally. I usually keep my family away from the entertainment world to protect them from negativity. Why would anyone want their parents to be targeted or dragged into something they didn't sign up for?" Her mother's words were simple and sincere, not part of any promotional effort. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo "My mother simply spoke the truth. She's not playing any PR game; she's just a proud mom. Some people tried to twist that moment, but I didn't let it affect me, my family, or my work. I've been dealing with online noise since the beginning, right from when I first went viral doing song covers on Instagram and YouTube. People now say my fame is tied to a certain relationship, but that's not true. I had already built a name for myself in the industry," she added. Navigating public opinion with resilience, she chooses to stay grounded in what matters most. Dhanashree said, "Trolling and negativity are, unfortunately, part of fame. But I've learned to focus on what matters: my craft, my growth, and the people who genuinely support me. There will always be those who focus only on the negative, but I choose not to engage. You attract what you focus on, and I choose positivity. Whether it was before or after my divorce, my mindset hasn't changed. I stay focused on delivering my best work. At the end of the day, I just want to come home feeling content with what I've created, and that's what keeps me going." Addressing the narratives that often surround public figures during personal transitions, she made it clear that much of what's said doesn't align with her reality. "The narratives circulating around me are far from the truth. None of it reflects who I am, and I don't engage with it because I know my values, my upbringing, and the kind of person I am. I've always believed in maintaining dignity and grace. Putting others down has never been my way, and it never helps anyone rise in life," she said. For her, the focus remains firmly on her own journey. She added, "What truly matters is staying focused on your work, your intentions, and the good people around you. Self-growth, self-love, and discipline have always guided me. I believe that when you waste energy on negativity, you take away from your own growth. I choose to put that energy into becoming better every day." "I'm a deeply spiritual person, and my faith in God and the universe keeps me grounded. At the end of the day, I believe your success, your values, and your truth will eventually speak for themselves, and that's all that really matters," she concluded.

Bhopal bridge takes a sharp turn - literally: Internet explodes with memes
A brand-new railway overbridge in Bhopal has become the centre of heated online debate – not for its utility, but for an eyebrow-raising 90-degree turn in its design. Located near Aishbagh Stadium in Madhya Pradesh, images of the bizarre bridge design have gone viral, prompting concerns from social media users about potential safety risks for commuters. One X (formerly known as Twitter) user, with a username, 'The Skin Doctor', shared an image of the bridge, calling it a 'modern engineering marvel', sarcastically. 'This is the Aishbagh rail-over-bridge in Bhopal. PWD civil engineers took 10 years to create this. That 90° turn is a disaster waiting to happen unless there's proper banking, signage, speed breakers, and lighting,' the post read. The user also criticised the turn as a traffic choke point and questioned its long-term viability. What's the reason behind the design? Officials linked to the project explained that the bridge's sharp turn was a result of land constraints and the proximity of a metro rail station. According to the Public Works Department (Bridge Department) Chief Engineer V.D. Verma, "Due to the metro station, there is limited land availability. The design was the only feasible option to connect the two colonies." Verma further clarified that only small vehicles will be allowed to use the overbridge, with safety protocols including speed limits, lighting, and signage to be maintained as per Indian Road Congress guidelines. Made with a budget of ₹18 crore, the 648-metre-long and 8.5-metre-wide bridge aims to improve connectivity for Aishbagh residents. It is expected to reduce commute times by removing the need to wait at a level crossing or take longer alternate routes. X users react with memes and mockery Social media reactions have ranged from humorous to scathing. Some users suggested the bridge looked like it belonged in a video game, while others slammed it as a 'waste of taxpayer money.' 'This is what happens when accountability is a myth,' one user wrote. 'PWD gems like this belong in a museum,' joked another. One user shared their thoughts on this bridge, saying, 'Merit wale engineers hi aisa marvel bana sakte hai.' Another user wrote, 'Pura 90 degree to nehi hai magar ye engineering ka ek nayab marvel hai jarur, hat's off to all those involved in this great project, company ka maal dariya mein daal jaisa ho gaya.' 'A PWD Gem. This should make it to some Architectural Hall of Fame !!' another wrote. Congress' Kerala X handle took a dig at the government and wrote: 'Elite design team under the leadership of @AshwiniVaishnaw has built an engineering marvel in Bhopal. A right angle Railway Over Bridge. While ordinary engineers would have gone straight across the hypotenuse (√(3² + 4²) = 5), this team cleverly chose 3 + 4 = 7. Longer route, bigger budget, more chances to siphon off public money. True innovation.'
