Shah Rukh Khan's manager denies claims of illegal constructions at Mannat
Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's manager has denied claims of illegal construction work at Mannat, the actor's palatial sea-facing home in Mumbai currently undergoing renovation.
On Friday, as per reports, an inspection team comprising Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and forest department officials arrived at the site to check for violations after a complaint by an activist.
'There are no complaints,' Pooja Dadlani, Khan's manager, was quoted as saying by TOI. 'All work is going on as per guidelines.' A report based on the findings of the inspection team will be submitted soon, a forest official told the publication.
A Mumbai-based activist, Santosh Daundkar, had challenged the legality of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance granted to Shah Rukh Khan to expand his six-storey mansion, Mannat, by adding two more floors. He had also accused Khan of demolished two heritage structures from 2000 to 2006 without taking mandatory prior environmental clearance from the concerned authorities.
Khan and his family are currently residing at an upscale apartment building in Pali Hill, Bandra till the end of the renovations.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. His next film is titled King.

The staff assured officials that all relevant permission documents would be manager Pooja Dadlani clarified, 'There are no complaints. All renovation work is being carried out in accordance with guidelines.' Reportedly, prior clearances were obtained from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). The ongoing renovation includes the addition of two new floors to the annex building.A forest department official confirmed that the inspection was carried out following a complaint about the validity of renovation approvals. 'A report will be compiled based on the site findings and submitted shortly,' the official from the BMC's H-West ward, including teams from the building and factory department as well as the building proposal department, were present only to assist the forest team. 'Our participation was limited to supporting the forest department upon their request,' a BMC official complaint triggering the inspection was earlier filed by activist Santosh Daundkar regarding construction activities at former IPS officer and lawyer Y P Singh raised concerns about the legality of the property's structure. He claimed that the original heritage building, known as Villa Vienna, was renamed Mannat and that in 2005, a seven-storey extension was added behind it. At the time, due to restrictions under the Urban Land Ceiling Act, constructing a large private residence was not allowed. To navigate this, Singh alleged that permissions were sought for 12 smaller independent flats—typically intended for mass housing—by the owners Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. However, once approved, these flats were allegedly merged into a single expansive luxury residence for the family.[With TOI inputs]

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Mannat' Inspected Over Coastal Rules Violation Complaint
Mumbai: Officials of Mumbai's civic body, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), and the forest department have inspected actor Shah Rukh Khan's sea-facing bungalow ' Mannat ' after a complaint of alleged violation of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ), sources said today. During the inspection, the officials checked whether any kind of construction had been done around the actor's Bandra Bandstand bungalow without the necessary permission, sources said. Shah Rukh Khan's 27,000-square-foot bungalow is currently getting a makeover. According to reports, Mannat, which currently comprises six floors, is undergoing a two-year-long renovation, with plans to expand the annexe by adding two more floors. The actor, along with his wife, Gauri Khan, and their three children, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam, have temporarily moved out and are currently living in a duplex apartment in Khar, which is about 10 minutes from Mannat. Mannat, a grand old heritage property that dates back to 1914, was sold to Shah Rukh Khan in 2001. The BMC sources said that a report is being prepared after the inspection, and notices will be sent to the concerned persons if any violation is found. The CRZ or the ' Coastal Regulation Zone ' rules are environmental guidelines set by the Government of India to prevent unauthorised construction in coastal areas and maintain environmental balance.
