Man hangs self, suicide note names 4
Kota: Allegedly tortured for money, a 35-year-old man committed suicide by hanging in his house under Borekheda police station in Kota Thursday. However, the body was found hanging in the room Friday morning.
The deceased man, identified as Dushyant Pandey (35), a resident of Devashish City under Borekheda police station, left an eight-page suicide note. In the note, he alleged that four persons - Narendra Nagar, Ravi Tiwari of Kota, and Shankar Rai, Rambhagat of Lakheri town in Bundi district, tortured him for money. He held them responsible for his extreme step.
According to the police, the deceased was employed in private sector and lived with his elderly parents and sisters in Kota.
He retired to his room Thursday noon and did not come out at night.
Upon finding the room door bolted from inside and receiving no response, Dushyant's father informed the police Friday morning. The police broke open the door, and found Dushyant hanging from the ceiling fan, circle inspector at Borekheda police station, Devesh Bhardwaj, said. The police also recovered an eight-page suicide note. Initial inquiry suggests the deceased was facing a financial crisis and had court cases over cheque dishonour, the officer said.
The police lodged a case under section 194 of BNS.

Lucknow: Madiaon police and crime branch jointly arrested four men for murder of Krishna Gupta, 26, resident of Radha Gram Duda Colony in Thakurganj for his relationship with the sister of the prime accused. SHO, Madiaon, Shivanand Mishra, said the accused confessed to the crime. "The accused invited Krishna to drink with them and murdered him with a heavy iron rod, a wrench (pana) and blades. His body was dumped near Ghailla Bridge. Police recovered the blood-stained iron rod and wrench used in the murder," said Mishra. The body was found on June 20 with fatal injuries on the neck, head and face. Following investigation, police added Section 3(5)/238 of the BNS to the charges. Operator & aide held for Rs5 lakh ATM theft in Noida
Noida: An ATM operator employed with a cash management company in the city and his accomplice have been arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 5 lakh from a cash van during an ATM refill operation. The theft came to light after CCTV footage from inside the van showed the custodian breaking the seal of a cash bag and pocketing the money. The accused Raghav Akash, worked with Hitachi Cash Refill, a company responsible for refilling ATMs across Noida. Akash and his associate were arrested by officers from Phase-1 police station on Tuesday. According to SHO Amit Maan of Phase-1 police station, the company, based in Sector 2, routinely sends out vans with cash to replenish ATMs. "Akash went out in a van carrying Rs 24 lakh to refill multiple ATMs across the city. But when he returned in the evening, a discrepancy of Rs 5 lakh was noted in the records," SHO Maan said. Company officials said that when Akash was questioned about the missing amount, he failed to provide a clear explanation. A case was registered against the duo under BNS Section 309 .

Cow with severe injuries dies, personal rivalry suspected
Bengaluru: A suspected long-standing rivalry between two farmers in Sulivara village, off Magadi Road near Tavarekere, took a violent turn on Friday evening after a cow was found with severe injuries, including slashed udder. The cow, belonging to Maribasavaiah, later succumbed to its injuries. Maribasavaiah filed a complaint with Tavarekere police, accusing his neighbour and long-time rival, Guru Siddappa, of deliberately injuring the animal. According to him, the animosity stems from ancestral land disputes and a recent village cooperative election in which he defeated Siddappa's close aide, Hanumanthaiah, to become president of the Sulivara Village Milk Producers' Association. Siddappa, however, denied the allegations, claiming the injuries could have occurred when the cow tried to jump over a fence. The incident came to light when Bhagyamma, Maribasavaiah's wife, discovered the injured cow lying in their farm. A veterinary doctor immediately attended to it, but the animal died later that night. Following the complaint, Tavarekere police registered a case under BNS section 351 (Criminal Intimidation) and relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
