The official description for the series reads, 'Hollis Shaw (Garner), a famed food influencer known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste and warm demeanor, suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis's picture-perfect life — her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter and her growing pursuit of validation from her followers. In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her 20s, 30s and one surprise fifth star. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, they will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.'
Carden is best known for starring as Janet in 'The Good Place,' which ran on NBC for four seasons from 2016 to 2020. She also played Natalie Greer in 'Barry' from 2018 to 2023, and Greta Gill in 2022's 'A League of Their Own,' and recurred in 'Broad City' as Gemma from 2014 to 2019.
'The Five-Star Weekend' was created by Bekah Brunstetter, who writes the series alongside and Beth Schacter. Both serve as executive producers alongside Sue Naegle and Ali Krug for Dinner Party Productions; Elin Hilderbrand; and Jennifer Garner. Universal Content Productions is the studio.

Peacock Just Dropped the Love Island USA Season 7 Cast and It's Giving Sex, Lies, and Sunburn

Grab your SPF, a vibrator, and a therapist on standby because the seventh circle of horny hell has officially opened. That's right, Peacock has finally dropped the absurdly attractive, barely clothed cast of Love Island USA Season 7 and darling, it's giving 'hot people with no business forming sentences.' The cultural reset is back. The sex appeal is criminal. And if this cast doesn't scream 'we skipped brain day at the gym,' I don't know what does. Streaming June 3, the new season descends on Fiji, where ten genetically unfair individuals will fake fall in love for public validation, PR opportunities, and maybe a little trauma bonding on national TV. Let's meet the cast who will be swapping spit, sobbing in slow motion, and giving us at least five memeable meltdowns before the third recoupling. These aren't contestants. These are walking pheromones in designer swimwear. America, prepare to lose your dignity and your will to live. He's a personal trainer which is reality TV code for 'emotionally unavailable with a god complex.' He has 32 abs and not a single healthy attachment style. The golden retriever boyfriend type. Until he doesn't get picked at the fire pit and suddenly turns into a full Greek tragedy. Tropical baddie with hair that deserves its own spin-off. Don't let the soft voice fool you. She will steal your man and then your skincare routine. Face card? Never declines. Attitude? Expensive. Chelley's here for love but she's leaving with either a man or a brand sponsorship. Mysterious. Stunning. Serving 'try me and die' energy. Her villain origin story is already in pre-production. He's six feet of trouble and talks exclusively in vague spiritual affirmations. Just say you ghost women and go. Yes, the last name is confusing. So are his tattoos. But the man is pure Florida chaos and he's definitely kissing someone else's girl by Episode 2. Southern charm with a nuclear attitude. If you cross her, she'll flirt with your man, win the challenge, and make you cry. All before brunch. Football player jawline. Situationship energy. He'll tell you you're 'different from the others' and mean it for about 48 hours. Spicy. Stunning. A certified weapon of seduction. She's not walking into the villa. She's stomping in stilettos over your relationship. God's favorite ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix returns to host with more poise, power, and post-cheating glow than ever. Vanderpump Rules may have birthed her but Love Island USA is where she reigns. She's giving glam. She's giving goddess. She's giving 'Tom who?' Narration duties are still in the messy hands of Iain Stirling, whose savage voiceovers could ruin your life faster than a text from your ex at 2AM. Welcome to Fiji. Also known as the world's sexiest group therapy session. Producers have promised more twists, more betrayal, and more unplanned pregnancy scares than ever before. The villa is bigger. The games are messier. The vibes are chaotically horny. Yes, Love Island: Aftersun is also back every Saturday starting June 7 so you can watch emotionally unstable influencers unpack their trauma in real time. Hosts to be announced soon but they better serve face. You, the emotionally invested public, can vote for who stays, who recouples, and who gets dumped in the most humiliating way possible. All from the safety of your couch and an overpriced cocktail. Download the Love Island USAapp and start playing God. This season Love Island USA is introducing never-before-seen couples challenges, jaw-dropping shake-ups, and 'surprise guests'. Which is usually code for exes. Revenge plotlines. Or something cooked up by a deranged producer in the dark. Every episode is a ticking time bomb. Every 'I really like you' is a prelude to betrayal. Every night ends in tears, temptation, or both. And we'll be watching with popcorn and a prayer. Peacock has turned Love Island into an international hot people empire and we're just the horny little peasants lapping it up. Currently streaming or coming soon Love Island: Beyond the Villa Love Island Games (Seasons 1 and 2) Love Island UK: All Stars Love Island South Africa and Spain Love Island USA Seasons 4 to 6 Season 6 broke every Peacock record and if Season 7 doesn't top it we riot in bikinis. Love Island USA Season 7 premieres Tuesday June 3 exclusively on Peacock with new episodes daily at 6PM PT / 9PM ET during premiere week then Thursdays through Tuesdays because even hot people need Wednesdays off. This isn't love. This is psychological warfare in a thong bikini. And we'll be seated. Tom Sandoval's America's Got Talent Audition Leaves Judges in Shock

Originally appeared on E! Online is pumping up the volume on America's Got Talent. The Vanderpump Rules alum shocked fans by making his unexpected debut on the NBC reality competition series. In a preview of the show's June 24 episode, the Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras frontman teased why he's taking his talents to the AGT stage two years after Scandoval—his cheating scandal involving exes and —became a media sensation. "My name is Tom Sandoval, I was the most hated man in America," Tom said in a clip posted to Instagram June 20. "This is the chance to show who I am as a musician." The Bravo star then sang a cover of A-ha's classic '80s hit "Take on Me" dressed in black pants and a glittering, bedazzled green jacket. As he opened the song, judge looked very skeptical at his vocal abilities. However, Tom impressively belted out the lyrics much to her (and the audience's) surprise. Meanwhile, notoriously harsh judge looked not too happy at the beginning after first laying eyed on The Traitors alum, but later flashed a giant smile as he enjoyed the performance. As for the crowd's reaction, audience members smiled and cheered, especially when Tom hit a particularly hard high note mid-chorus. More from E! Looking back on his deception of Ariana, Tom admitted on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast that he "handled s--t wrong" and "f--ked up" with how he ended things with his partner of almost 10 years, but wished that some of their mutual friends had reached out to hear his side of the story. "Nothing is excusable for what I did," he said, adding of their former costars "I definitely deserve the hate, but for these close friends to not even shoot me a text and go right to social media and start posting things?" As for how things ended with Ariana, he recalled, "My plan was to breakup with her in therapy. I had made it pretty clear in therapy that I wanted to take the steps to break up, but Ariana really started fighting for it and I felt so, so bad about it." FilmLA 5-Year Contract Approved Amid Worker Complaints

The Los Angeles Board of Public Works approved a new five-year contract with FilmLA on Friday, despite calls from industry groups for changes to the city's film permitting system. The Los Angeles Board of Public Works voted 4-0 to extend FilmLA's contract through June 2030, just days before the current deal was set to expire. Adrin Nazarian, who represents a district that includes North Hollywood, where many IATSE West Coast locals are headquartered, previously spoke about the rapid decline in Los Angeles production as studios have moved shoots to other states and countries amidst pressure to reduce production spending and make their streaming services profitable. 'We've been regressing and losing so much ground,' he stated. 'Now we're losing commercials and platforms and miniseries. We can't have this happen.' While a handful of high-profile productions have moved to California, including NBC's 'Suits L.A.' and the second season of Prime Video's popular 'Fallout,' TV production in Los Angeles has fallen 58% from its all-time high in 2021, according to the latest quarterly report from FilmLA. In response to this, Hollywood unions and studios, who two years ago were in conflict amid an industry-paralyzing double strike, have joined forces to lobby local and state officials to make changes that would allow California to become a more competitive production hub. In Sacramento, a pair of bills that would expand the types of productions eligible for the California Film and Television Tax Credit have been slowly advancing through various committees. The bills have the support of Gov. Gavin Newsom, who last fall called for the program's cap to be raised from $330 million to $750 million. Among the fees required of L.A. shoots that are reduced or nonexistent in other cities include county and city fees for fire review and notification, hourly fees for public safety and fire workers and additional fees for shoots that take place on roads, including for permit applications, road inspections and closures.
