Cheteshwar Pujara was involved in a hilarious moment on Friday before the start of the first Test between India and England at Headingley, Leeds. During the pre-match show on Sony Sports Network, Pujara trolled former England captain Michael Vaughan right on his face and on live television.
Pujara surprised Vaughan with a framed print of his old tweet from 2020. It was the one where Vaughan had predicted a 4-0 win for Australia against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) during the 2020-21 tour. At the time, India had just been bowled out for 36 in the second innings of the Adelaide Test, their lowest ever Test score, and captain Virat Kohli had returned home for personal reasons.

It was not just Vaughan but many felt that Australia would dominate the rest of the series and take the trophy back. But India had other plans. Despite multiple injuries to key players and a second-string team, India made a historic comeback, winning the series 2-1. Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill were among other players who stepped up to the challenge and guided India to victory.
