Who Is Karoline Leavitt's Husband? Everything To Know About Nicholas Riccio

Graziadaily4 hours ago

Karoline Leavitt made history when she became the youngest person to hold the position of press secretary in the USA. And her role giving press briefings for Donald Trump's administration means she is never far from the public eye.
But less is known about Karoline's husband, Nicholas Riccio. Karoline has described her husband as her 'greatest supporter', but on the whole he prefers to keep a low profile.
Nicholas Riccio is a real estate developer who grew up in Hudson. He graduated high school and was a student at Plymouth State University. He told The Sunday Herald that he experienced financial insecurity during this time of his life.
'When I was 19 or 20, I would call my buddies to go over their houses to watch a game just so I could take a shower,' he told the outlet in 2005.
After taking a real estate course, he worked his way up to own his own company, Riccio Enterprises. In the interview with the Sunday Herald, he discussed his big ambitions. 'My work in real estate has helped facilitate my dream of owning a professional sports team. And that will happen one day in the near future,' he said.
Nicholas Riccio is 59 years old. This means there is a 32 year age gap between himself and Karoline, which has been the topic of much media attention. When the pair met, she was 25.
During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly show earlier this year, she said it's a 'very atypical love story' adding 'he's incredible.'
'He is my greatest supporter, he's my best friend and he's my rock,' she gushed. 'He's built a very successful business himself so now he's fully supportive of me building my success in my career.'
The couple met in 2022 when Karoline was running for a Congress seat in New Hampshire. She won the Republican nomination, she lost the election to Democrat Chris Pappas.
She told The Megyn Kelly Show: 'A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,' she recalled. 'I was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends.'
Karoline and Riccio tied the knot in January 2025, days before Trump's second inauguration. She shared pictures of her wedding, which took place at Wentworth By The Sea Country Club, on Instagram, captioning the post 'Finally found some time to post a few of my favorite pictures from one of my favorite days!'
While Nicholas is fully supportive of what he does, Karoline doesn't share much of their private life on social media, as her husband prefers to keep a low profile.
'He's an introvert (complete opposite of me),' she told followers. 'I respect his privacy on here—but he's my number one fan, the best dad, and just the best man I've ever met.'
Yes, Karoline and Nicholas welcomed a son, Nicholas Robert Riccio, on July 10, 2024. Karoline shared the happy news on her Instagram, where she accompanied adorable pictures with the caption: 'It's true when they say there's nothing comparable to the love you feel for your child.'
She continued: 'My heart has grown bigger than I ever imagined possible. Babies are the ultimate blessing and I'm bursting with gratitude for our beautiful, happy, healthy boy.'
Karoline was on maternity leave during Trump's assassination attempt - something she said motivated her to return to work quickly. In an interview with The Conservator, she explained she was grateful that Ricco had a flexible work schedule so he could help with childcare while she went back to work.
'Leaving the baby every day to go to work, it does break your heart,' she said. 'It's incredibly challenging emotionally, physically, spiritually.'

Ohio man charged for allegedly threatening US Congressman Max Miller

June 20 (Reuters) - Police in Ohio said on Friday they had arrested a man after he allegedly ran a U.S. Congressman off a road, threatened the politician and his family, and yelled antisemitic slurs and waved a Palestinian flag before fleeing. Police in Rocky River, Ohio, said in a statement that they had arrested Feras Hamdan, 36, of Ohio, in connection to the alleged targeting on Thursday of U.S. Representative Max Miller, a Republican representing Ohio, in the suburb about 10 miles (16 km) west of downtown Cleveland. Hamdan, police said, voluntarily turned himself into police. Hamdan was arraigned on Friday and charged with aggravated menacing and ethnic intimidation, according to Deborah Comery, the Rocky River Municipal Court clerk. Hamdan, who could face up to five months in jail, pleaded not guilty and is being held on a $500,000 bond. Hamdan's attorney, Issa Elkhatib, said in a written statement that the allegations against Hamdan were "baseless and outrageous" and that they "amount to defamatory attacks on his character and reputation." Elkhatib said that Hamdan was a respected local doctor who had no prior criminal history, and that he was confident "the truth will win and that Dr. Hamdan's good name will be fully vindicated." Political violence in the U.S. has been on the increase. A man in Minnesota was arrested on suspicion of assassinating a state lawmaker and her husband last weekend, and shooting and injuring another lawmaker and his wife. The Rocky River police statement said that Miller called 911 on Thursday morning to report that he was run off the road while traveling with his family on Interstate 90 in Ohio. The police said Miller reported an assailant yelled antisemitic slurs and waved a Palestinian flag. "The deranged hatred in this country has gotten out of control," Miller wrote on social media. "As a Marine, a proud Jewish American and a staunch defender of Israel, I will not hide in the face of this blatant antisemitic violence," he wrote.

Donald Trump slams spy chief and says Iran has two weeks 'to come to senses'

The US President said he had given Iran a 'period of time' to see if its leaders would 'come to their senses' after saying his two week deadline would be the 'maximum' Donald Trump has slammed his former Democrat spy chief in a blistering attack while being questioned about his plans for potential US intervention in Iran. The President has been subject to intense questioning in recent days as he weighs whether or not to involve the US in the ongoing Israeli assault of Iranian nuclear facilities. On Thursday, he decided he would wait two weeks before giving an order on how to precede, before going on today to claim the nation is "within a matter of weeks or months" of acquiring a nuclear weapon. He has now said the country has two weeks "to come to its senses" before slamming his own intelligence chief. ‌ ‌ Speaking to the press this afternoon, Trump was asked by gathered journalists about the intelligence behind his claim that Iran is close to acquiring a weapon of mass destruction. He was asked to respond to claims that members of the US intelligence community has said they had "no idea" when Iran could develop a bomb. In response, he said: "Well then my intelligence community is wrong." He then asked: "Who in the intelligence community said that?" When the journalist informed him that his director of national intelligence, former Democrat turned key Trump ally Tulsi Gabbard, had said so, he curtly responded: "She's wrong." Ms Gabbard told Capitol Hill lawmakers in March that the intelligence community "continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003". She added at the time that the US was closelt monitoring Iran's nuclear programme, before noting it was actively enriching uranium. She noted, however, that Iran's enriched uranium stockpile "is at its highest levels and is unprecedented for a state without nuclear weapons". ‌ The Commander-In-Chief also previously suggested his handpicked national security head was wrong earlier this week, adding fuel to rumours that his fragile MAGA coalition is reportedly fracturing at present. Key factions in the alliance are splitting over the 79-year-old's approach to Israel's recent all-out attack, with a key Trump-Vance campaign plank being no involvement in foreign conflicts. Mr Trump said during his press address earlier today that he has given Iran "a period of time", before adding the two week deadline he had originally given was "the maximum". During those two weeks, he added, the parties involved in the conflict would receive "time to see whether or not people come to their senses". He also said it would be "very hard" to ask Israel to cease attacks on Iran after Iran's foreign minister said Israel must stop its "crimes and aggression", adding that Iran will not negotiate with any parts as long as Israeli attacks continue. "I think it's very hard to make that request right now," Trump said as he was asked whether or not he would speak to Israel about stopping their strikes. "If someone is winning, it's harder to do than if someone is losing. But we are ready and willing and able, and have been speaking to Iran and we will see what happens."

Trump shows he still isn't over 2020 election defeat as he demands investigation

President Donald Trump has called for a special prosecutor to investigate the 2020 election won by Joe Biden, claiming it was 'FRAUD'. 'Biden was grossly incompetent, and the 2020 election was a total FRAUD,' he wrote on social media today. 'The evidence is MASSIVE and OVERWHELMING. A Special Prosecutor must be appointed. This cannot be allowed to happen again in the United States of America! Let the work begin!' Trump's post comes amid an amped-up effort by him to undermine the legitimacy of Mr Biden's presidency. Earlier this month, Trump directed his administration to investigate Biden's actions as president, alleging aides masked his 'cognitive decline' – something which Biden slammed as a 'mere distraction'. The post also revives a long-running grievance by Trump that the election was stolen, even though courts around the country and a Trump attorney general from his first term found no evidence of fraud that could have affected the outcome. The Department of Homeland Security's cybersecurity arm pronounced the election 'the most secure in American history'. The Justice Department has appointed a succession of special counsels in recent years – sometimes, though not always, plucked from outside the agency – to lead investigations into politically sensitive matters. In 2024, Trump's personal lawyers launched an aggressive and successful challenge to the appointment of Jack Smith, the special counsel assigned to investigate his efforts to undo the 2020 presidential election. Republicans have continually tried to deem the 2020 election, which Trump lost, as fraudulent, four years after it wrapped up. In the meantime, Trump has been sharing wildly outlandish theories about his predecessor online, amid accusations that Trump himself is suffering cognitive decline as well. More Trending Earlier this month, Trump shared a post on his TruthSocial site claiming the former US president was executed in 2020 and replaced by a 'clone'. Paul Quirk, a political science professor at the University of British Columbia in Canada, previously told Newsweek in early 2024: 'Biden's age should be less of an issue than Trump's more apparent cognitive decline – displayed in slurred speech and gross, repeated errors in one campaign rally after another.' An often tongue-twisted Trump has confused Biden with Barack Obama, his former Republican opponent Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi and the presidents of Hungary and Turkey.
