Jay-Z & Sean 'Diddy' Combs Rape Suit Dropped; Rappers Accused Of Assaulting 13-Year-Old In 2000
Sean 'Diddy' Combs is still facing a criminal trial in May over sex trafficking and more, as well as dozens of sexual assault cases, but the Bad Boys Records founder and Jay-Z are now no longer are being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl back in 2000.
'Plaintiff Jane Doe, by and through her undersigned counsel, hereby gives notice that the above-captioned Action is voluntarily dismissed with prejudice,' said a two-page filing Friday dropping the sensational case that has been in the courts since October. 'Counsel for Plaintiff have discussed this matter with counsel for each Defendant, who acknowledge and consent to this submission,' added lawyers Tony Buzbee, who is representing almost 100 clients against the much accused Combs, and Antigone Curis.

Jay-Z & Sean "Diddy" Combs Rape Case Sees Bad Boy Records Out As Defendant
In a statement posted on his Roc Nation social media feed, Jay-Z a.k.a. Shawn Carter slammed the long festering matter, while celebrating its end simultaneously . 'This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere,' the statement said. 'The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.'
The rape of the then-teen Jane Doe is alleged to have occurred on the night of September 7, 2000 during one of Diddy's drug-fueled parties after that year's MTV VMAs. A graphic October 20-filed lawsuit from plaintiff's lawyer Buzbee originally only named Combs, but made distinct reference to accomplices of a male 'Celebrity A' and a female 'Celebrity B.'
Jay-Z was named as 'Celebrity A' in a December 8 refiling by Buzbee, which followed separate suit from a Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan-represented anonymous 'celebrity and public figure who resides in Los Angeles' (later revealed to be Jay-Z) that went after the Texas lawyer for extortion.
Jay-Z always denied anything to do with the 'heinous' rape, as the superstar called it late last year. At the same time, Jay-Z's lead lawyer Alex Spiro has ripped into inconsistencies and more in Jane Doe's version of events from a mid-December NBC interview she gave – an interview during which she admitted to 'mistakes.' The defense also attempted unsuccessfully to have the plaintiff's real name revealed, and, with claims of a 'lack of diligence,' see Buzbee punished.
As recently as February 10, the case saw more movement when Combs' Bad Boy Records was removed as defendant, likely due to overlapped in named corporate divisions in the once mogul's portfolio.
Representatives for Combs and Buzbee did not respond to request Friday for comment on the sudden change of direction in the case. If they do, this post will be updated, However, with no mention of Beyoncé, Carter's lead lawyer was equally blunt as his client.
'The false case against Jay-Z, that never should have been brought, has been dismissed with prejudice,' said the '99 Problems' longtime attorney Alewx Spiro today after the filing in federal court by the Buzbee Firm. 'By standing up in the face of heinous and false allegations, Jay has done what few can – he pushed back, he never settled, he never paid 1 red penny, he triumphed and cleared his name.'
In case you are wondering, yes, the 'with prejudice' means the case can never be refiled, at least in its present form.

Number of LGBTQ-inclusive films drops again, data shows
LGBTQ representation in major movie studios' productions has been dropping, per data from GLAAD. Why it matters: In 2024, for the second year in a row, there was an overall decrease in inclusive films, after having hit a record high, GLAAD found. The studios are "running the risk of losing the next generation of consumers," says Megan Townsend, GLAAD's senior director of entertainment research. One in five Gen-Z U.S. adults identify as LGBTQ, per Gallup. Driving the news: The entertainment industry has shown signs of succumbing to pressure to scale back on diversity and inclusion. Several distributors, including Disney, Netflix and Paramount, pulled back Pride Month messaging this year. By the numbers: Although the number of LGBTQ characters went up in 2024, from 170 to 181, fewer movies featured them. Only 59 out of 250 films included LGBTQ characters, down from 70 out of 256 the previous year, the study found. Among the LGBTQ characters, those of color decreased from 78 in 2023, to 66 in 2024. LGBTQ-inclusive animated and family films from the 10 top distributors declined from 8 out of 39 in 2022 to 2 out of 26 in 2024. The bottom line: "It is very hard to change your brand perception and win people back after they have decided that your brand is not for them, doesn't look like them, doesn't look like their friends, their family," Townsend tells Axios.

Gen Z is obsessed with tri-color tresses: Eye-catching ‘calico hair' trend takes inspiration from cats
Gen Z is feline this trend. 'Calico hair' — a dye job inspired by the black, white, and orange patches that appear on calico cats — is suddenly all the rage with Zoomers looking to stand out from the crowd. 'Ask your colorist for a mix of copper, auburn, and golden blonde shades with dimensional highlights and lowlights,' Marie Nino, a New York City-based hair colorist, told RealSimple. 'Bring reference photos to show the color placement you're after, and have them tailor the blend to suit your skin tone.' Advertisement 5 Though the style is technically DIY-friendly, many of its proponents prefer to visit hair color pros at salons for ease of mind. angelringhair/Instagram 5 Stylists on social media have said that the hair color trend works on many different hair types and textures. manes_by_mia Though many opt for a trio of more flashy, vibrant hues, it's entirely possible to embrace the calico hair trend with a more subtle color profile. Advertisement 5 Here, Miley Cyrus, beloved by Gen-Z, touts a toned-down calico hairstyle. Frazer Harrison By choosing a range of warm brown, striking blonde, and coppery brown, for instance, Miley Cyrus has struck a balance between natural and on-trend. Despite its popularity online, the eccentric hairstyle hasn't hit the mainstream the same way other recent hair color trends like 'recession hair,' or its more positively packaged term, 'old money blonde,' have just yet. Chances are, you may spot one or two Zoomers sporting tri-color tresses, but due to its vibrant colors and relatively limited wearability, calico hair may be another one of Gen-Z's short-lived micro-trends. Advertisement 5 Hairstylists find that the look is easiest to achieve on long hair, but short-haired Zoomers have taken to social media to show off their own variations on the typical look. Between sectioning hair off, mixing three different dye colors and washing each part separately, the steps to achieving calico hair in the salon and at home are lengthy and, for many, difficult. To make matters more complicated, the initial coloring process isn't even half the battle, experts say. It's the upkeep that stops Zoomers from continuing to flaunt calico hair. 'The calico trend is very high-maintenance. Due to the intricate coloring process, it's best to preserve the color for as long as possible,' advised Ryan Dickie, a colorist at IGK Salon Miami, in an interview with RealSimple. Advertisement Hairstylists and calico cut-sporting Zoomers alike advise that washing your dyed hair as rarely as possible will prevent different colored dyed sections from bleeding onto each other, fading colors and dry, frizzy hair. According to experts, the temperature at which you rinse your hair also counts. 'When exposed to warm or hot water, the [hair] cuticle becomes more pliable and may lift slightly,' which causes color fading, NYC-based dermatologist Ellen Marmur told Allure. On the other hand, 'cold water exposure induces cuticle contraction. The cuticle cells lay flatter against the hair shaft, creating a smoother surface,' resulting in brighter, shinier and more hydrated hair. If there wasn't already ample proof that fashion and beauty trends are cyclical, let this latest hair craze serve as further corroboration. Back in the early 2000s, celebrity style icons like Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson were sporting an early version of calico hair: the chunky highlight. 5 Kelly Clarkson, Lindsay Lohan, the Olsen twins, and Christina Aguilera were likely all hairspiration for the teens of the 2000s. Kevin Winter Advertisement Thick blonde stripes were ultra-trendy back in the early aughts, especially among young women, and with the rise of calico hair, it looks like the teens of today have put their own spin on the look. Of course, the unconventional, eye-catching hairstyle may make millennials, and really anyone else who lived through the early 2000s, cringe, but take comfort in knowing that in 20 years, Gen Z will be living through the same thing — that's the beauty of the trend cycle.

Kanye West Loses His Luxury Vehicle In Embarrassing Scene After Diddy Backlash
recently suffered an embarrassing fail after his vehicle was reportedly seized in Los Angeles. The controversial rapper has been on the receiving end of fans' wrath after he showed support for , who is on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. West appeared at the New York courthouse, where the case is ongoing. Now, days later, a six-figure asset was taken away with no explanation. On Tuesday, West's custom Maybach vehicle was seized in the parking lot of the Château Marmont. The Donda Academy founder is a regular at the 5-star hotel where A-listers in Hollywood often reside. Photos taken and shared online show the chrome-plated luxury vehicle being placed on the back of a tow truck and taken away. One hotel staff member could be seen standing by while the Maybach was being strapped onto the truck. The reason behind the seizure remains unknown. However, the Daily Mail reports that the Château Marmont is known for having a limited parking space problem. It could have been an illegal parking situation or a more serious issue, such as repossession of the luxury vehicle, which is reportedly worth around $450,000. West's camp is yet to address the incident, and the towing company hasn't responded to requests for comments. Hours after the incident, West received an unlikely visitor in the person of Christian Combs. The son of disgraced rapper Diddy was photographed with his entourage outside the Château Marmont. Per the publication, the 27-year-old looked in good spirits, donning a red shirt with camouflage three-quarter shorts. In one image, Christian was seen making a call, but West was not pictured during the meeting. Amid his vocal support for the Bad Boys Records founder, Ye often offers public encouragement to Diddy's son. The pair seems to have formed a bond, sharing a hug outside the courthouse last week. In the March 2025 song, "Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine," the incarcerated rapper appreciated West for his support, saying: "I just wanna thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man. 'Cause ain't nobody reach out to me." West backed his support with action when he unexpectedly showed up at Diddy's sex trafficking trial last Friday. Causing quite the scene, he arrived with Christian, dressed in an all-white ensemble and black sunglasses. Ye, as he is fondly called, even stopped to shake hands with a fan before heading inside the Manhattan federal courthouse. When asked by reporters if he was there to support Diddy, the former husband of Kim Kardashian answered "yes." Unfortunately, West was restricted to watching the trial on a TV screen in one of the overflow rooms. According to reports, the "Gold Digger" rapper wasn't listed among the approved names of Diddy's family and friends allowed to be in the trial. It seems that prompted him to leave the court less than an hour after his arrival. West's unexpected appearance sparked backlash, with 50 Cent being one of the most vocal critics. The "Candy Shop" rapper, known for his trolling expertise, shared an A.I. image mocking the Yeezy founder. Trying to imitate West's outfit, the doctored image showed 50 Cent in an all-white suit ensemble. In the accompanying caption, 50 Cent took a jab at his colleague's wife, Bianca Censori, referencing the obscene outfit she wore to the Grammys. "We are wearing white in honor of the freak offs. Damn Ye, you should have brought your dirty little wife with that Grammys outfit! @50centaction," it read. Before West's New York appearance, he had been holed up at a high-end wellness facility in Mallorca, Spain, sources say. As The Blast reported, the "Can't Tell Me Nothing" artist and Censori have been retreating at The Balance Rehab Clinic for a reported fee of $170,000 per week. The luxury wellness center is described as "a safe haven where you can find recovery, peace, rest, and happiness" on its official website. Insiders say the couple's stay is linked to a wrongful termination lawsuit filed against West by former employee Benjamin Provo. "He's bleeding money and credibility," a source alleged. "He needs to prove to fans and the corporate partners he has left that he was off his rocker when spewing such filth and going to rehab seems like just what the doctor ordered – literally."
