‘A lot of blowing and drifting snow;' Over 1000 ODOT crews treating snow-covered roads
Several Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) crews continue to treat the roads after Sunday's accumulating snowfall.

Matt Bruning, ODOT Spokesperson, said on social media Sunday that over 1,000 crews were out across the state treating roads.
As previously reported by News Center 7, parts of the Miami Valley saw as much as three to four inches of snow on Sunday.

In addition to snow showers, the winds presented a challenge to ODOT crews.
'Crews are dealing with a lot of blowing and drifting snow,' said Bruning.
He posted two photos that showed drifting snow on U.S. 127 south of U.S. 40 south in Preble County.
Bruning also asked drivers to give ODOT crews room to work and check OHGO.com for travel information.

‘Oh, it was bad': Lightning strike sets Alpharetta apartment building on fire, forces residents out
Two dozen residents of an Alpharetta apartment complex spent hours Friday loading up their belongings after lighting struck their building, sparking a fire. 'Oh, it was bad,' said Samantha Marvell, who lives at the Woodhaven at Park Bridge off Old Milton Parkway. She was working on her computer in Building 1000 when the sky darkened and thunder rumbled Tuesday afternoon. Then came a mighty crash. 'Just complete loud thunder and instant flash and then it was just raining,' she said. 'I don't like thunder, so hearing that loud crash, it made me very nervous. You could feel it, so I was shaking a bit.' Lightning had struck the roof of the apartment just above hers. A fire broke out, causing serious damage in the building's attic, but Alpharetta firefighters managed to keep the flames from spreading. Ian Cassuto, a fire spokesperson for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, said two apartments had moderate fire damage. All the others sustained smoke and water damage. Neighbors told Channel 2 Action News reporter Bryan Mims that repair work on the building is set to begin Monday, and everyone had to get their belongings out by this weekend. On Friday, a fence encircled the building and property restoration workers were on site. The property manager of Woodhaven at Park Bridge told Mims he couldn't comment about the management's response to the fire or discuss repairs. Residents said the management placed many of them in other units in the complex. Samantha's father, Trevor Marvell, lives with her in the apartment and described the lightning strike as 'just a big bang.' He said could salvage most of his belongings, but his furniture is likely ruined from the water damage. Mark Kersul just returned home Tuesday when he saw the billowing smoke and fire trucks. He and a friend, Richard Rotondo, worked together Friday to load up his possessions, which he'll put in a garage on the property. He said he spoke with the woman who lives in the apartment where the lightning struck. 'The lady said she felt it in her heart, her chest, when it hit,' he told Mims. Residents said the apartment management and the American Red Cross have been very responsive in wake of the fire. Samantha Marvell said her nerves were rattled and apartment was damaged, but she's grateful nobody was hurt. 'I mean, we just get everything done and keep on going,' she said. Boil water advisory issued for Northside Parkway corridor in Atlanta
City water officials are asking some residents and businesses to take extra precautions when using tap water. The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management issued a boil water advisory along the Northside Parkway corridor, officials said Friday. Crews are currently responding to a 16-inch water line issue that has led to a service disruption. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The department said once a tree has been removed and a partner utility company finishes their repairs, crews will start water line repairs. Northside Parkway is closed temporarily between West Paces Ferry Road and 3715 Northside Parkway because of this repair work. The boil water advisory will stay in place until water sampling is completed to ensure water safety, watershed authorities said. Officials are warning everyone in the affected zone that have experienced water outages and/or low water pressures to boil all water before use, or use bottled water. This includes for drinking, cooking, preparing baby food or brushing teeth. Bottled water is available for those affected at the following locations: Fire Station 27 – 4260 Northside NW, Atlanta, GA 30327 Fire Station 23 – 1545 Howell Mill Rd., NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 The water should be boiled for one minute past a rolling boil. The Atlanta Department of Water Management has other tips on how to deal with a boil water advisory. The elderly and those with immune deficiencies should be particularly cautious. Parents should also be particularly cautious when using water for their infants. Do not drink water from public water fountains in the impacted area. The city's water officials said vigorous hand washing or showers with soap and tap water should be safe. But water that has been boiled and cooled should be used if washing hands to prepare food. The public should exercise these water precautions until officials lift the boil water advisory. Those who experienced a loss of water service at their address should boil their water before using even if they are outside the area described. The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management provides regular updates on social media at @ATLWatershed. St. Marys Bridge to close daily beginning Monday
The Florida Department of Transportation is warning drivers to prepare for detours, with full daytime closures of the St. Marys Bridge planned in June. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< U.S. 17 over the St. Marys River will be completely inaccessible to drivers for several hours a day from Monday, June 16 to Thursday, June 19.
