's Sooryavanshi will also have another part coming out soon. Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff, whose characters were introduced in Singham Again, will have important roles to play later in the franchise, according to Shetty, who hinted at a spin-off for them.
Apart from explaining his plans for sequels and spin-offs, Rohit Shetty also explained how the idea of bringing different characters together in Singham Again came about. The film, which was released in 2024, featured a mix of old and new characters. It starred

Rohit Shetty on Simmba 2, Sooryavanshi sequel
Speaking with film critic Komal Nahata on his podcast Game Changers, Rohit Shetty said that he plans to expand the cop universe soon with sequels of Simmba and Sooryavanshi.
'Simmba ka bhi part 2 hoga, Sooryavanshi bhi aage badhegi. Aur bhi log aaenge. Aur bhi fillmein banengi cop universe mein. So, we created that universe (Simmba's sequel will happen soon. We also plan to take Sooryavanshi forward. More actors will be asked to join and more films will be made),' the Singham director said.

Simmba, released in 2018, starred Ranveer Singh as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba. Sooryanvanshi featured Akshay Kumar in the lead as Veer Sooryavanshi. Both characters reprised their roles in Singham Again.

The Singham director revealed that the decision to make a cop universe came about while he was scripting Simmba. The filmmaker had already decided that the new characters introduced in the movie would later have their own character arcs. The star cast and story for Singham Again was finalised when he was shooting Sooryavanshi.
Shetty revealed that everyone filming Singham Again knew that there was more in store for the newer characters. 'So, it's not just that they are coming for 10-15 minutes and after that they don't have work," he explained. This hints that Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff could have their own projects under the cop universe.
Rohit Shetty on convincing multiple actors to star in cop universe
The filmmaker said that it was 'challenging' to create a universe by convincing actors like Ranveer Ssingh and Ajay Devgn to appear in each other's films. Rohit Shetty said that they started the process with senior actors like Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar who had done multi-starrers before and knew that their cameo in one film could lead to a separate project. This made it easier for Shetty to make his cop universe bigger and more high-profile. The last entrant in the franchise was Singham Again.

Tarun Mansukhani's Housefull 5 led by Akshay Kumar is still getting audiences in its 3rd weekend, despite some stiff competition from Sitaare Zameen Par. After ending its first 2 weeks in India collecting Rs 151.75 crore net, the movie managed Rs 1.50 crore on its third Friday. Today, that is on its third Saturday, the movie has collected Rs 1.80 crore, to take the total to Rs 155.05 crore. Another Rs 2 crore on Sunday will take the comic-caper to Rs 157.05 crore net. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Housefull 5 Are As Under Particulars India Net Collection Week 1 Rs 114.40 crore Week 2 Rs 37.35 crore 3rd Friday Rs 1.50 crore 3rd Saturday Rs 1.80 crore Total Rs 155.05 crore net Housefull 5 remains on course to emerge a mid-range success. Housefull 5's Reception Proves That Branded Content Still Works One thing that is clear is that branded content is working and the final result of Housefull 5, which is decent but underwhelming, should not make it seem like focus should shift away from sequels. Akshay Kumar has a bunch of branded (Sequel/IP) content up for release, from Welcome To The Jungle to Jolly LLB 3, up for release in the next one year. There also is OMG 3 that is in the works. Awara Paagal Deewana gained a cult following upon its June 2002 release, thanks to its brand of frantic comedy, sleek action, and eccentric characters. In this wild farce that combines humour and a whodunit, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal get together. It takes a page out of Awara Paagal Deewana by thriving on ambiguity, unsteady corpses, and trouble-prone individuals. Khatta Meetha Although it's a little more serious, Priyadarshan's Khatta Meetha is nevertheless full of humour and social commentary. The film stars Akshay Kumar as a comically inept small-time contractor fighting entrenched corruption. The tone of the film dances precariously between satire and seriousness, similar to how Awara Paagal Deewana combined crime, comedy, and action. Kanjoos Makhichoos The more contemporary work in this kind, Kanjoos Makhichoos by Vipul Mehta, features Kunal Kemmu in the role of a miserly man who, following a family tragedy, must deal with bureaucratic red tape. Similar to Awara Paagal Deewana (but quieter and less action-packed), it features severe middle-class anarchy, situational comedy, and exaggerated characters. Even though the movie came out 23 years ago, Bollywood's fondness for ensemble storytelling, comedic setups, and chaotic plots is a clear reflection of the Awara Paagal Deewana impact on the comic-action genre. These films show that sometimes the wilder the journey, the more enjoyable it is.
