The All-American Rejects coming to Sioux City this summer
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The All-American Rejects have been confirmed to be joining the list of performers taking to the Battery Park stage at the Hard Rock this summer.
According to a release from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City, The All-American Rejects will be performing on the Battery Park stage on July 12.
KCAU 9 donates $5,000 to ALS in the Heartland
The All-American Rejects, well known for their blend of pop-punk and emo rock sounds, have released hits such as 'Swing, Swing,' and mainstream hits 'Dirty Little Secret,' 'Move Along,' and 'It Ends Tonight.'
Tickets for The All-American Rejects go on sale April 4 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online or in-person at the Rock Shop.
Also performing on the Battery Park stage this summer are Theory of a Deadman, Ella Langley, and ZZ Top.

Gambler bets $5 on slot machine — then hits big jackpot at California casino
A gambler walked away from a Northern California casino with a big jackpot prize. The lucky visitor from Marysville went to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento, the casino said in a June 13 Facebook post. Then the player sat a Dragon Link slot machine and bet $5. The gambler hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared. 'After many attempts, the Dragon Link Grand Jackpot finally hit for $189,808!!' the casino said in the post. Social media users congratulated the winner on Facebook. 'I heard a lot of commotion in the high limit room and walked in to see his hit!!' one person commented. 'Congratulations! 'Walking on Sunshine.' So happy for you!' another person wrote. 'Wowza!' another person said. That wasn't the only big win at the casino recently. A Blackjack player from Sacramento won the $120,754.85 jackpot on June 15, the casino told McClatchy News by email. The casino is in Wheatland, which is about a 40-mile drive north from Sacramento.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A major holiday known as Juneteenth is returning to Sioux City after a five-year lapse. Juneteenth is a federal holiday that commemorates the Emancipation Proclamation for enslaved people in the U.S. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas back in 1865 when enslaved people were declared free. 'Community means everyone, so it doesn't matter what color you are, what religious background you have, whether you're male, female, it does not matter. Food Bank of Siouxland surpasses its fundraising goal
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) — The Food Bank of Siouxland announced its total from the Food Festival. The goal was to raise $40k. Nearly $52k was raised at the 3rd Annual Siouxland Food Festival. The Food Bank's release said more than 500 people participated in the event. All proceeds from the event will go towards purchasing food for the Food Bank and its agencies.
