
Biker, 59, killed in horror crash on Scots road
Police have released further details about the tragic incident.
A BIKER has died in a horror smash on a remote Scots road.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene just after 6pm last night on the B966 Fettercairn to Edzell road at Cairnton of Balbegno in Aberdeenshire.

The incident involved a blue and white Suzuki GSXR 750 motorcycle.
Officers have confirmed the rider, a 59-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for around six hours whilst collision investigators probed the smash.
Cops are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch with them.
Sergeant Dave Cooper said: 'Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and an investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
'We would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened or have dash-cam footage that could help.'
Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3053 of Saturday, 21 June, 2025.'

Car 'sinks to bottom' of Strathclyde Loch prompting 999 response
Fire crews responded to Strathclyde Country Park at around 7.20pm on Saturday following reports of a vehicle in the water. Reports on social media claimed that a car had 'sunk to the bottom' of Strathclyde Loch. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed it sent three fire engines and two boats to the scene. 'Operations Control mobilised three appliances and two boats to the scene. Crews left the area at around 7.30pm. 'There were no reported injuries.' Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.

John Ilgunas was last seen at around 8pm on Thursday, June 12, in the Kylemore Crescent area of Motherwell. The 49-year-old was reported missing by his family on Saturday, June 21.
