Weekend Wishlist: 11 summer picks worth the hype

Here's everything we're eyeing up this week, from Damson Madder, Next, White Stuff and more Up and down the country, shoppers are desperately trying to find ways, gadgets and clothes to help them cool down - ourselves included. This Weekend's Wishlist, from our dedicated team of fashion and beauty experts (and self-confessed shopaholics), consists of a few pieces we believe would be a welcome addition to any wardrobe in such scorching weather. From Next's beach cover-up to a new perfume that'll help keep you fresh and smelling divine all day (thank you Who is Ellijah's Nomad) to a breezy, sleeveless, beach-to-bar-to-wedding dress from Damson Madder that'll certainly turn some heads, our carefully curated list contains just a few items we have in our shopping basket, eagerly awaiting payday, or have tried-and-tested themselves - and can't stop raving about. Basically, we've done the scrolling, so you don't have to. So, without further ado, here are the must-have items we're lusting after this week. Phoebe's picks: Next's Fruit Print Cover-Up - £38 As soon as I spotted this gorgeous colourful Fruit Print Overheard Shirt Cover-Up, I immediately added it to my wishlist. I am going on holiday abroad in a couple of weeks and think it will pair beautifully with Next's Fruit/Tropical Print Shaping Tummy Control Swimsuit I recently purchased, as well as bringing some much-needed colour to my other plain black swimsuit. The cover-up costs £39, so is a little pricier when compared to similar alternatives, and is available in two sizes: S/M and M/L. It's made from a lightweight viscose fabric and features a flattering V-neckline with a collar, ideal for showcasing a necklace if desired. I particularly like the fact it is an oversized fit, as I've tried shirt cover-ups in the past that are too tight under the arms or too short in length. The Fruit Print Overheard Shirt Cover-Up looks perfect and is a must-have for your holiday wardrobe. Only one Next shopper has reviewed the shirt so far, awarding it five stars. They purchased it as a gift and said: "My sister was very happy with her birthday present, which she took to Cyprus with her." White Stuff trousers and top co-ord - £75 Co-ords are the perfect summer outfit, as they are quick and easy to throw on and go when last-minute plans arise. White Stuff is currently hosting a huge summer sale, and I've fallen in love with this beautiful trouser and top co-ord with a vibrant green and white leaf pattern. The Elisa Eco Vero Top is now £44 (RRP £55), and the Lucinda Eco Vero Wide Trousers are £35 (RRP £65), meaning the complete co-ord can now be purchased for £75, down from £120. Both garments are available in sizes 6 to 24, and I think they would be perfect to wear for an al fresco dinner date, to the beach, or while exploring on a city break in a warm country. It seems I'm not the only one loving the White Stuff co-ord, with one reviewer saying: "Bought the top to go with the trousers. It looks amazing. So happy with it, they're so comfy." Another added: "I have received many compliments on these trousers and will be wearing them all summer." It's worth noting, however, that the top and trousers aren't currently available in petite, only in regular sizes. Lauren's picks: Neom's Squeeze The Day Reed Diffuser - £55 Neom has long been my go-to brand for candles and diffusers. It's a blends of essential oils always feel thoughtful and luxurious - the kind of scents you'd expect to waft through a high-end spa. This week, the brand has launched a stylish update to its much-loved reed diffusers, now housed in a rounded glass bottle that exudes elegance and refinement. There are plenty of scents to choose from, including the calming, lavender-laced Perfect Night's Sleep. Still, my personal favourite is Squeeze the Day - a bright, uplifting blend of grapefruit, mandarin and a refreshing kick of eucalyptus. It's the kind of scent that instantly perks up a space and puts you in a good mood. In my experience, Neom diffusers smell divine and throw scent beautifully. However, I'd recommend placing them in a smaller room like a bathroom or study, rather than a large open-plan space, to really enjoy the full effect. Finery London's Essie Indigo Denim Dress - £49 I've been loving the return of warm weather lately - mainly because it means pulling my favourite summer dresses out of hibernation. There's nothing quite like strutting through the city in oversized sunglasses and a breezy, throw-on-and-go dress. This week, I've got my eye on a new piece from Finery London: a sleeveless indigo denim midi that feels like peak 90s cool. With its relaxed, tiered shape and rich indigo wash, it strikes the perfect balance between structured and easy-going - the kind of dress that works just as well for weekend brunches as it does rolled up in a suitcase for a holiday. Style it with chunky sandals and a woven bag for a daytime look, or layer it with a white tee and trainers for a more laid-back vibe. Either way, it's the kind of wardrobe hero that makes summer dressing feel easy. The dress is made from 100% cotton, so it's best to check the washing details as if it's not cared for properly, it could shrink. Also, it's likely that it won't be that stretchy so may be tight across the chest for those who have a more generous bra size. Although for summer, this breathable material is a godsend so a great pick in this heatwave. Who is Ellijah's Nomad Perfume - £80 If there's one scent that truly captivates me (and my wrists), it's woody. I'm drawn to the depth, moodiness, and mystery in a perfume - something that clings to the skin and lingers. Recently, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone, moving away from my usual favourites to invest in a bottle from a brand I wasn't overly familiar with but had heard murmurs about: Who is Elijah. Established in 2018, Who is Elijah is a female-led Australian fragrance house that champions gender-neutral scents and a minimalist approach to perfume. The aesthetic is sleek and stylish, the kind of bottle that would look at home on the shelf of someone with impeccable taste in fragrances and interior design. While browsing, I opted for Nomad, one of the brand's top sellers. It starts with a potent blend of Egyptian jasmine, saffron, and almonds, lending it an immediate warmth. Next comes the heart, a mix of Amberwood, Bulgarian rose, and ambergris, which adds softness and depth. But it was the dry-down that won me over - cedarwood, moss and musk that feel smoky, grounding and subtly powerful. However, at £80 for a 50ml bottle, Nomad certainly falls into the luxury category with its expensive price. If you're still unsure, though, a more affordable option is Le Monde Gourmand's Oud Sahara Eau de Parfum (£24), a delicate blend of bergamot, vanilla, and exotic woods. Lovall's ALL SZN Organic Crop Hoodie Wimbledon is fast approaching (30 June to 13 July), and Lovall is serving serious style with its brand-new Courtside Club Collection. The range is a fresh spin on athleisure, channelling retro tennis aesthetics in the chicest way - think wrap-waist leggings, contrast piping, and cropped hoodies that wouldn't look out of place courtside. As someone who already has a couple of Lovall leggings in heavy rotation, I can vouch that the brand nails it when it comes to quality, fit, and flattering cuts. So naturally, its new cropped hoodie is at the top of my wishlist. Designed with an oversized fit, drop shoulders, and a structured three-piece hood, it's as wearable as it's cool. Cropped hoodies have long been an off-duty staple - remember the iconic dancewear in Flashdance? This one brings the same effortlessly athletic energy, only with a 2025 twist. Of course, being cropped, it might not deliver the same warmth as a full size one - which is the only negative we can see. Eve's picks: Refy Face Sculpt I'm very rarely shocked by a moisturiser. As someone who is quite fortunate with their complexion, I often find that my skin reacts well to moisturisers and enjoys the silky softness they leave my skin, as well as the firm bounce I end up with. But Refy's relatively new Face Sculpt - a world-first facial sculpting moisturiser - has me seriously impressed. Firstly, the lightweight gel cream is fast-absorbing and provides a lush, cooling texture on my skin, thanks to both the cream and the metal balls on the applicator used to distribute the product. The tube from which the moisturiser comes has a metal roller ball applicator on the end, which acts to cool, depuff, and lift the skin as you apply. And I haven't used it for about a week, but I can confirm it does precisely that. The gel cream itself is infused with Inst'Tight, a world-first peptide and botanical complex that reduces fine lines and firms the skin, while glycerin helps to hydrate and plump deeply. It is also packed with Provitamin B5, which helps calm redness and inflammation. While I haven't been using it long enough to notice a definite firmness or sculpting of my face, my skin is glowing for longer and feels hydrated all day long (more so than usual). At £38, it is a bit of an investment, which is the only downside, but if the results are as the reviews suggest, it's a worthy one. Plus, it'll last ages as you only need a pea-sized amount. One added ingredient I would welcome is an SPF to ensure maximum protection from the sun in summer. Only Curls' Shine & Define Finishing Serum - £22 Curly and wavy-haired girls will know all too well the struggle, especially in the summer, that textured hair brings: frizz. But Only Curls is a brand that has enabled me to tame my relatively unruly 2C curls, and it has recently launched a new frizz-control finishing serum that not only does a stellar job of taming the frizz once the diffusing is complete, but it also smells lush. Costing £22, the Shine & Definite Finish Serum has left my curls looking super shiny and with less frizz and clear definition. Lightweight and silicone-free, it's made using plant-based shine boosters like jojoba and sunflower seed oils to tame frizz, smooth flyaways, and lock in moisture. It can be used on both damp hair and freshly dried curls, and it's one product I've been raving about to all my curly-haired friends as a must-have - plus it smells unreal. It is more watery than previous serums I've used but in my personal experience that helped in ensuring it didn't end up greasy- however some people remarked: "It's too light for my hair and didn't make any difference." H&M Tennis Sportswear I am a sucker for a cute activewear set. If I have to work out, I want to look fabulous while doing so, and H&M's new in-sportswear features some glorious tennis-appropriate pieces (just in time for summer), including garments in an adorable pastel pink hue. Its new range includes sports dresses, skorts, shorts, jackets, bras and even some sunglasses. While I wanted the entire selection, I treated myself to the brand's skort, dress (to feel like Emma Raducanu during Wimbledon) and sports bra. They are not only comfortable but garnered me lots of compliments. While I'm not a tennis player, I do play netball, and I took the Circle-cut tennis skirt with DryMove and a £12.99 Seamless Medium Support Sports bra with DryMove for a trial run at my latest game. As a result, my whole team asked where the look was from. The only gripe I had from the set was that the 'hot pants' shorts built into the skirt tend to ride up when running. Consequently, when a gust of wind comes along, it gives the impression that I'm wearing just knickers underneath rather than shorts. But it didn't bother me too much as the skirt covers the shorts most of the time. The bra was supportive while running, too, which is a must-have, although someone with a larger chest size may need something with a bit more sturdiness as well. Beyond Nine's Esme and Daisy Co-ord When I saw that Beyond Nine had launched its summer sale with 50% off, I let out a little shriek of joy, as a co-ord set from the retailer had been on my wishlist since I first spotted the brand on an influencer I followed a few years ago. One design currently on sale in the Esme/Daisy co-ord is decorated in a checkered print in a lovely, earth-ochre-green hue. Made with breezy 100% Oeko-Tex Linen, it's the ultimate summer set and is so easy to wear (I imagine). Easy to pull on, the Daisy trousers, now £62.50, are made in the trending barrel leg - one trend I will wear forever - and feature an elasticated waistband, which makes them perfect for any big meals out, bloating, and even pregnancy. The matching Esme top is sleeveless with a round neckline, making it easy to layer necklaces over for the ultimate cool-girl look. Of course, the only thing that some people may not enjoy is that it's not exactly figure flattering as it's quite baggy, but for the girls who suffer from bloating regularly or simply want to embrace the baggy, it's fab. One word of warning though for shoppers is that they can sometimes arrive a little bigger in sizing. One four star review left a comment on the website which read: "This pair seem much bigger even. I didn't feel they flattered me as much and they have to be perfect to justify the price, so I have returned them and will try a different style." Although for the most part, the trousers have been described as 'stunning'. Damson Madder's Mia Midi Dress in pink business stripe - £67.50 With wedding season in full swing, I've four weddings on the horizon for which I don't have an outfit. When I spotted Damson Madder's Mia dress in its newly launched sale, offering up to 50% off, I began swooning - hard. Its warm, bubblegum pink hue and contrasting stripes give a formal vibe, while its structure and design are so playful and multi-functional. The dress can be worn as a bow, bandeau, halter, or asymmetric dress, all of which are flattering silhouettes for a wide range of body shapes and sizes. Available in sizes 10 to 20 (sizes six and eight have sold out), the dress features a shirred drop-waist bodice and an A-line skirt that floats over the hips and ends just above the ankle. Made from cotton, it'll certainly keep our temperature levels as agreeable as possible thanks to its breathable make-up. Now, my only qualm is that the dress appears relatively long on the 5'9 "model on the brand's website, making me a little cautious that it might overwhelm me. However, if that means the dress is more maxi than midi, I'm not too bothered.

The customer voiced their dilemma, noting: "Had a hard time selecting pattern and settled on the least loudest pink green tile. Wish it came in solid colours and I also hope for a long sleeve version." But another thrilled customer added: "I am in love!
