Which players make sense for the Boston Celtics to take in the 2025 NBA draft?
Which players make sense for the Boston Celtics to take with their Nos. 28 and 32 picks in the 2025 NBA draft? Given the rumors we have been hearing about Boston potentially trading away Jrue Holiday this offseason, does it make more sense to aim for adding some talent to the team's backcourt rotation?
Or with the rumbles that vet big man Kristaps Porzingis might be on the move as well, should the Celtics try to add a new center to the roster? They may actually be able to both given they have picks in the first and second round, but they could also look to combine them to move up in the draft as well.
Cohost of the CLNS Media "Garden Report" podcast, Bobby Manning, linked up with "Swish Theory" draft analyst Matt Powers to talk it all over. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about who Boston may want to draft!

Mock Trade Sees Suns, 76ers Swap Superstars After Disappointing Seasons

Mock Trade Sees Suns, 76ers Swap Superstars After Disappointing Seasons originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Phoenix Suns have an interesting offseason ahead of them as they try to bounce back after another disappointing season. Advertisement Phoenix finished the season 11th in the Western Conference standings with an abysmal 36-46 record that caused them to miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign. Due to this, they are expected to make some major changes to their roster this summer, including breaking up their big three of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant (35), Bradley Beal (3) and Devin Booker (1) against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Footprint J. Rebilas-Imagn Images Of course, most of the headlines have surrounded the Suns moving on from Durant as they are in active trade talks with multiple teams to trade away the future Hall of Famer. Phoenix is also expected to look for a new home for Beal as they try to rebuild their roster around Booker. Advertisement While the Suns have reportedly been looking to rebuild around Booker for their future, there is still a chance they move on from him if they receive a large enough offer. Reggie Hildred-Imagn ImagesReggie Hildred-Imagn Images With this in mind, Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey recently came up with a mock trade that would see the Suns and Philadelphia 76ers swap superstars after both teams put together disappointing seasons. In the trade, Bailey has Philadelphia sending Paul George and four first-round picks, including the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 draft, to the Suns for Booker. 'Adding that pick (2025 No. 3 overall pick) to two more firsts and a far-future pick swap would give the Suns a good batch of draft assets to tip off a rebuild. And trading George somewhere down the line for more assets wouldn't be out of the question either,' Bailey wrote. Advertisement While this trade would help the Suns kickstart their rebuild, it is likely that they are going to be unwilling to move on from Booker this offseason. Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George looks on against the Golden State Streicher-Imagn Images Despite this, adding four first-round picks along with George, who they could trade again in the future, would set them up well to start off their rebuild. While that may be the case, the Suns are expected to keep Booker this summer as they try to turn things around with him leading the way. Lowe: Projected lottery pick Tre Johnson performing well in draft workouts

Former Texas guard Tre Johnson is reportedly performing well in workouts and improving his stock ahead of the 2025 NBA draft, according to Zach Lowe of The Ringer. Johnson was the SEC Freshman of the Year last season, averaging 19.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 33 games on 39.7% shooting from 3-point range. He was the 10th player in program history to be honored as Freshman of the Year. Though Johnson has been linked only to the Utah Jazz on the workout circuit, the 6-foot-5 standout is dazzling on the court in front of executives. He is having a strong showing ahead of the draft, which was discussed on the latest episode of the "Zach Lowe Show." I have heard that he is just killing workouts. People are coming away with like, 'Oh my god. We knew this guy could shoot but this guy can really freaking shoot.' ... He seems to be a name that I just hear more good stuff about as we come closer to the draft. Johnson scored in double figures in all but two games, becoming the sixth freshman in history to lead the SEC in scoring average. He finished with the highest scoring average by a Longhorns player since J'Covan Brown in the 2011-12 season (20.1). The 19-year-old is considered a possible top-five pick because of his dynamic scoring ability and potential to pull up from all over the court. He dazzled on offense by creating for himself and hitting difficult shots on the move or with his patented step-backs and side-steps. Johnson also boasts a 6-foot, 10 1/4-inch wingspan that will enable him to play on the wing next season in the NBA. He brings good size and projects to develop into a franchise cornerstone for the team that ultimately selects him in the first round on Wednesday.

Golden State Warriors jersey history - No. 15 - John Mengelt (1981)

The Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Warriors Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the 16th of 27 players who wore the No. 15 jersey for the Warriors. That player would be Golden State guard alum John Mengelt. After ending his college career at Auburn, Mengelt was picked up with the 21st overall selection of the 1971 NBA draft by the (then) Cincinnati Royals (now, Sacramento Kings). The Lacrosse, Wisconsin native also played for the (then) Kansas City-Omaha (now, Sacramento) Kings, Detroit Pistons, and Chicago Bulls before he signed with the Dubs in 1981 for the last stop of his NBA career, just two games. During his time suiting up for the Warriors, Mengelt wore only jersey No. 15 and put up no counting stats. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.
