Mahindra and Mahindra have announced that they are ramping up the production of the Thar Roxx to meet the strong demand and lower the waiting times of the SUV. The homegrown manufacturer has also added Dolby Atmos with a Harman Kardon 9-speaker sound system to the top-end AX7L trim. There is also now support for the Gaana streaming application.
Mahindra recently added a new interior colour option to the Thar Roxx. Customers can now get the interior finished in light grey, and this new colour scheme has replaced the Ivory White colour scheme. This modification is being implemented in response to customer feedback indicating that the Ivory White color scheme tends to become soiled, is challenging to clean, and is not well-suited for an off-road SUV such as the Thar Roxx.
The dashboard has been completed with a new light grey colour scheme, now featuring a combination of beige and black, which is expected to be easier to maintain than the previous Ivory White colour scheme. Additionally, the seats have been updated to beige rather than white. In addition to the new grey colour, the brand has also offers Mocha brown interiors. Mahindra Scorpio N Likely To Get ADAS, Panoramic Sunroof Soon

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the Scorpio N in the Indian market in 2022. Since then, the SUV has received different updates and editions to keep it fresh for the consumers. Reports suggest that the automaker is planning on further updating the SUV with the addition of new features. These are the elements that are in demand and are available on most SUVs. The importance of these features can be understood by the fact that even Mahindra has been ensuring them in its various models. Starting with the details, the updated version of the SUV will come with new features for the safety and comfort of the occupants. It is to be noted that these revisions are likely to be incorporated without any changes in design. However, the brand might offer a new variant to accommodate them. With these changes, the SUV might be launched in the country around the festive season to ensure it gets good traction in the market. The first element to focus on is the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS features. This includes lane keep assist, high beam assist, lane departure warning, auto emergency braking, and more. Along with this, the brand is likely to add a panoramic sunroof to uplift the feel of the cabin, replacing the single-pane sunroof. These features have long been on offer on the XUV700 and have been included on the more recent models like XUV3XO and the Thar Roxx. Mechanically, there will be no changes in the Mahindra Scorpio N. It will continue to be sold with the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine, with options of MT and AT. Presently, it is sold at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 25.15 lakh (ex-showroom) for the most expensive variant.

No supply issues for EV magnets, monitoring geopolitical risks closely: N. Chandrasekaran

Tata Motors chairman N. Chandrasekaran on Friday told shareholders at the company's 80th annual general meeting that the company is accelerating its electric vehicle (EV) strategy, even as it closely monitors supply chain and geopolitical risks that could affect growth. EVs accounted for 15 per cent of the company's passenger vehicle sales in the last financial year. Tata Motors now aims to reach 30 per cent electric vehicle penetration well before 2030. 'We already have a portfolio—with Nexon EV , Punch EV, Tiago and Tigor—and we have several more models in the pipeline,' Chandrasekaran said. Tata Motors continues to lead the Indian EV market with over 50 per cent share, although this has declined from 79 per cent two years ago as Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai Motor India and MG Motor India expand their offerings. 'Yes, competition has increased, but we remain fully committed and have a runway,' he said. Supply chain, tariff impact under watch Chandrasekaran said the company is monitoring supply chain and geopolitical risks, including the sourcing of rare earth magnets used in EVs. 'We are not facing any issues. We are able to source the magnets we need and have the right level of inventory,' he said. 'We're also working with the government on alternative resources. This is something we are watching very carefully.' He addressed concerns around increased US tariffs on UK-made vehicles, which would affect Jaguar Land Rover . 'If the tariffs had gone to 27.5 per cent, the impact would have been £1.6 billion. With the UK-US trade deal , that's coming down to 10 per cent, and JLR's mitigation steps will reduce the impact to around £600 million,' he said. Tata Motors will participate in the government's EV bus programmes through its mobility business and is testing 12 hydrogen buses and trucks. 'The cost of production and operations for hydrogen is still high. This won't scale in the near term,' he said. The company's plan to demerge its passenger and commercial vehicle businesses remains on schedule. Both units are expected to list separately in the December quarter. 'All three businesses have balance sheets and cash flows. There is no need for large-scale debt unless a strategic opportunity arises,' Chandrasekaran added.
