Bill Murray Super Bowl Ad Invites Fans to Email His Yahoo Address — And He'll Respond With a Story

Yes, Yahoo still offers free email addresses — and apparently Bill Murray can be found at his, 'Billhimself@yahoo.com.' Murray appeared in a quick 15 second spot for Yahoo on Sunday — apparently which might be considered the company's first Super Bowl ad in more than two decades — except that it wasn't a national ad, but rather one that ran in local markets throughout the evening.
In the spot, Murray looks into a mirror — and sees a dog. 'Have you ever looked in the mirror and not seen yourself?' he says. 'I don't think I need professional help, but a skilled amateur, maybe? Little help?' He then holds up that email address.

'And the weird thing, more weird thing, he looks kind of familiar, which is no comfort at all. People ask, are you a cat person or a dog person? Dog person. And, now, literally a dog person. The fear hits but I remember my neighbor, Dr. Gerry, a legendary veterinarian totally qualified to respond to any canine emergency.
'Where would you imagine a vet named Dr. Gerry, wearing a 'Don't Lick Me I'm Allergic' button pinned to his scrubs, would send me? Just take a guess and you'll learn that the Darkest Hour is just before the dawn…
'Seriously, email me back with your best guess. Then I'll tell you the rest.
'What else? Oh yeah, no animals were hurt while writing this.
'Damn, a man in a jam — Bill'
Email again, and get this:
'The business card read, Platinum Pet Premonitions. That's correct. A pet psychic. Don't judge me. Her website seemed legit, you know, for a pet psychic and appropriate to my desperation level.
'I'm imagining mysterious yard bags hidden under the front porch. I pull up to the house and she's already waiting, which scares me because I didn't call ahead. She immediately asks 'Is your dog living or dead?' What would you have said??
'Sorry for the interference on this video. Maybe caused by paranormal activity? I should ask Danny.
'What now? Email some advice, a poem, a recipe. Whatever you got. I'll reply and let you know how it goes.
'More or less to come. Bill'
And then one more email:
'So I turn to family, they already seem beneath the rock named Bill. Brother Brian arrives on a moment's notice. Or should I say, comes when called? With him as my mirror, he looked back at me and saw what was missing. What I had been missing and couldn't see.
'Yes, as a little kid, we had a dog named Peppy, a Border Collie, who was a sister of the Salacki's dog, Shep. She had one blue eye one brown eye and loved to chase cars.
'Peppy was certainly peppy. She had a lot of energy, a lot of energy. She could play all day, with all nine of us and still have time to work her herding skills on Fords and Chevys. I'm betting our cozy home was already urchin overrun and our parents were afraid that Peppy might one day teach Nancy or Johnny how to chase cars. So, one day, Peppy was gone. Gone. Now Brian tells me Peppy ended up happy on a friend of my dad's farm somewhere in Wisconsin.
'We were told that she ran away or got sick and had to be put down, hit by a car, or something. Whatever story was told is long-lost to memory. They could have told us the truth. Oh, we would have cried, loud, loud and taking turns, enough to wake up the Wexlers behind us who heard everything.
'I never got to say goodbye to Peppy. Until today. What the heck, Super Bowl Sunday. It was Peppy I was seeing in the mirror. After all these years, she came back to say goodbye to me…and to let me say goodbye to her. Maybe she liked me the best of all the kids.
'I suppose we should never be horrified by what we see in the mirror. Or maybe we should never wish to be content with what we see in the mirror.

In his career, Murray has 19,498 career passing yards and 115 touchdown passes. No. 2 on the franchise all-time list in both categories is Neil Lomax, who had 22,771 passing yards and 136 touchdown passes. For Murray to move into second place and pass Lomax, he will need 3,274 passing yards. Outside of 2022 and 2023 when he missed 15 games between the two seasons because of his torn ACL, he has surpassed that passing total. He needs 22 touchdown passes in 2025 to pass Lomax. He had 21 last season and 26 and 24 in 2020 and 2021. How much more does he need to be first all-time in team history? Jim Hart, who played for the Cardinals from 1966-1983, had 34,639 passing yards and 209 touchdown passes. Murray needs 15,142 passing yards, which would require an average of 3,786 passing yards over four seasons. He needs 95 touchdown passes, which would require nearly 24 touchdown passes a year on average over four years. Those are certainly achievable goals, but it will mean that he not only plays well statistically but also leads the Cardinals to the postseason. Without that, it will be tough for him to be their starter for another four seasons. But as for passing Lomax, that should happen this year. He is already No. 2 in franchise history in pass completions with 1,864. Hart is No. 1 with 2,590. Tom Brady Captures Another Title, Wins Inaugural Fanatics Games and $1M Prize

Tom Brady is a champion once again. The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback won the inaugural Fanatics Games at this weekend's Fanatics Fest in New York, earning him a $1 million prize. The all-time great was among 100 celebrities, athletes and fans to compete in the Fantatics Games, which consisted of eight competitions. The eight competitions consisted of activities from different sports, such as quarterback skills, basketball shooting, soccer goal-scoring and baseball pitching accuracy, among other competitions. One of the other competitions was a WWE Superstar entrance. In his WWE Superstar entrance, Brady spat on New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner jersey and ripped former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's jersey. Manning later interrupted his entrance, jumping on top of him. That entrance helped Brady earn 399.1 total points in the Fanatics Games. Manning was also one of the athletes who participated, finishing in fifth with 314.5 total points as Brady was able to get some revenge over the quarterback who defeated him in two Super Bowls. Brady, a FOX Sports employee, collected his $1 million prize at the Javits Center on Sunday. However, he awarded $5,000 to each of the 50 fans who participated in the Fanatics Games, while the rest of that money will go to charity. Brady's participation in the Fanatics Games was just one of the few viral moments he had from Fanatics Fest over the weekend. On Friday, he struggled to pick out the real Rob Gronkowski in a group of 20 people dressed like his former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate. On Saturday, Brady joined LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama, streamer Kai Cenat and Maverick Carter for a live taping of "The Shop." "He's always done things the right way. He's always risen above all the noise and BS and continued to deliver," Brady said of James as he sat next to the Los Angeles Lakers star. "So you're witnessing the greatest ever, and I hope you guys will appreciate that." As for the other participants in the Fanatics Games, UFC fighter Justin Gaethje finished in second with 345.5 points. He won a a Ferrari 812 GTS for his performance. Matt Dennish, a 39-year-old teacher from Pennsylvania, finished with 326 points to place third in the competition. He outscored athletes such as James Harden, Tyreek Hill, Dwight Howard, Gronkowski, Michael Chandler and Micah Parsons, who all finished in the top 20 of the athletes who competed in the event. Harden dressed as Hulk Hogan for his WWE entrance. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was also among the athletes who participated, struggling in the pitching accuracy competition. He finished 36th in the competition. Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star Travis Hunter had the worst showing among the athletes who competed at the event, while new Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant finished with the second-worst mark.
