'Bitcoin is trading in a narrow range between $103,400 and $105,500 after the Fed held rates unchanged at 4.25%–4.50%, maintaining a hawkish tone due to inflation concerns,' said Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO of Mudrex.

He added that Bitcoin continues to hold key support levels despite macroeconomic and geopolitical headwinds. 'Notably, Bitcoin ETFs have recorded eight straight days of inflows totalling over $2.2 billion, indicating strong institutional demand. If this momentum continues, Bitcoin could soon test the resistance at $106,500, while support is seen around $103,000.'

Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus, noted that while crypto markets reacted mildly to the Fed's decision, Bitcoin's tight price structure points to an imminent breakout.
'Ask-side liquidity is clustering above $106,000, with nearly $70 million in orders stacked around $106,500. A breakout past this level could trigger a short squeeze, targeting the $109,000–$110,000 zone. Recent bid absorption at $105,000 indicates bulls are still defending this level effectively,' he said.
According to Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, Ethereum continues to trade below key resistance and lacks near-term momentum. 'ETH is struggling below the $2,600 mark, with resistance in the $2,575–$2,625 zone. Trading below the 100-hour simple moving average, Ethereum risks a drop toward $2,320 if support fails.'
On Bitcoin's outlook, she noted that the price is consolidating between $104,200 and $105,600, with resistance around $105,500. 'A breakout above $106,150 could push BTC toward the $108,800–$110,000 zone. However, the current structure of lower highs suggests bounce momentum is weak,' she added.
Despite recent volatility, some analysts believe the market is stabilising.
'After a turbulent week, Bitcoin is holding firm above $100,000, showing resilience and forming a solid support base,' said Avinash Shekhar, Co-founder and CEO of Pi42. 'Ethereum has outperformed Bitcoin in the current geopolitical climate, fuelling early chatter of a potential altseason.'
He added that Dogecoin is mirroring past bullish setups last seen in 2020, which preceded strong rallies. 'The Fed's decision to keep rates unchanged has helped calm market nerves. While questions remain about whether Bitcoin has peaked in this cycle, its ability to absorb volatility and defend key levels suggests that bullish sentiment, although cautious, still persists.'

Online scammers dupe Panchkula resident of Rs 18L in stock trading fraud
1 2 3 Panchkula: The cybercrime police have registered a case against unknown individuals for allegedly duping a resident of Rs 18 lakh under the guise of offering high returns through online stock trading. No arrests have been made so far. Jagmendra Singh, 56, a resident of Sector 12A, filed a complaint stating that he was defrauded after responding to a Facebook advertisement promoting online trading. Upon engaging with the ad, he was introduced to a scheme called block trading, which promised daily profits of 10–20%. After sharing his contact details, Singh received a WhatsApp message from a woman named Aarti Bhalla, who claimed to be an assistant to Shripal Shah from Kotak Securities. She shared a profit plan for 2025, including stock details and company credentials such as Sebi registration and CIN numbers. Singh was then sent a form link and added to a WhatsApp group with around 150 members. Between May 10 and May 16, he observed daily stock recommendations and selling guidance within the group. Aarti Bhalla later guided him to install the Kotak QIB application, and a block trading specialist persuaded him to invest. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 40세 미만이라면 이 매혹적인 게임을 하지 마세요 경복의 바다 게임 플레이 Undo On May 16, Singh invested Rs 50,000 in Vivanta Industries shares, transferring the amount to an account claimed to be Sebi-certified. The app displayed his balance, encouraging more investments. He then invested Rs 1 lakh more on May 18 and sold shares on May 19, noting a profit balance of Rs 58,727.25 on the app. Encouraged by the apparent gains, Singh made additional transfers of Rs 60,000, Rs 1,99,000, Rs 1,00,000, Rs 2,00,000, and Rs 70,000 to various accounts. On June 4, he invested Rs 11 lakh in the IPO of Scoda Tube Ltd, bringing his total investment to Rs 18,79,000. The app showed a balance of Rs 1,10,80,241. However, when Singh attempted to withdraw Rs 1,20,000 on June 10, for his son's wedding, the transaction failed. He was informed that his funds were locked in an IPO and that he needed to deposit an additional Rs 8,02,414 to unlock them. Realising he had been scammed, Singh filed a complaint with the cyber police. After verifying the facts, the police registered a case against unknown persons and are scrutinising the accounts to which the money was transferred.

Punjab ranks 2nd after Chandigarh in Performance Grading Index
Jalandhar: Punjab has distinguished itself in the Union ministry of education's recently released Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 for 2022-23 and 2023-24. While bracketed with nine other states, Punjab's scores are second only to topper Chandigarh for both academic years. The state, however, leads the crucial 'learning outcomes' domain, though this data is derived from the National Achievement Survey-2021. Chandigarh holds the second position in this category. The PGI 2.0 evaluates the performance of states and UTs across 70 indicators, categorised into six key domains: learning outcomes, access, infrastructure and facilities, equity, governance process, and teacher education and training. Punjab registered overall scores of 614.1 for 2022-23 and 631.2 for 2023-24. In comparison, Chandigarh's scores were 687.8 in 2022-23, rising to 703.0 in 2023-24. Punjab also outperformed Delhi for both years, with the capital scoring 579.3 in 2022-23 and 623.7 in 2023-24. 'Learning Outcomes' crucial domain The report points out that 'learning outcomes' is perhaps the most important domain and is the ultimate objective of the index. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025 Top Trending local enterprise accounting software [Click Here] Esseps Learn More Undo Punjab scored 113.4, followed by Chandigarh with 103.6. "For 20 indicators related to the learning outcomes domain and equity domain, data is drawn from NAS 2021," the report mentions. The report further mentions that unlike other domains, relatively easier to comply with, improving learning outcomes takes time and patience. "All other domains support learning outcomes and ultimately converge towards it. In this domain, all the indicators covered are measured via the NAS," the report says. Mixed progress in other domains A comparison of 2022-23 and 2023-24 shows that in the other four domains, Punjab's scores improved in infrastructure and facilities (+13), governance performance (+2), and teachers training and training (+4), but in one year, its score fell in access (-2). Performance of the domain 'access' is measured through enrolment, retention of students, transition of students to the next grade, identification, and mainstreaming of out-of-school children. Punjab was in the 22nd position when the Performance Grading Index started in 2017-18, and in 2018-19, it improved to the 13th position. The state was at the top in the PG Index 2019-20 released in June 2021. In the PG Index 2020-21, Punjab was once again among the top performers and attained level II along with six other states, while Delhi could get in Level III with 29 overall marks less than Punjab. For the third consecutive year in 2021-22, Punjab was at number two in the overall performance with 647.4 scores, while Chandigarh was at the top with 659 scores. BOX 'Learning Outcomes' data from Amarinder's tenure As the data for 'Learning Outcome', the most significant domain, has been taken from NAS-2021, this performance pertains to Captain Amarinder Singh's tenure as chief minister. During this time, then education secretary Krishan Kumar spearheaded reforms, with the full political backing of Amarinder. Krishan remained at the helm of the department for over four-and-a-half years, and within days after Amarinder lost his chair in Sept 2021, the former was moved to the higher education department.
