Shocking video emerges of Thunder fans trolling Tyrese Haliburton's father after Game 5
John Haliburton can roll with the punches.
Tyrese Haliburton's father laughed and had a good time with Thunder fans ribbing him outside of Paycom Center after Oklahoma City's Game 5 120-109 win over the Pacers on Monday.
John, wearing his son's yellow jersey, teased a few fans as if he would approach them while they chirped, but smiled through the interactions.
One fan kept saying, 'What you think?' before John seemingly posed for a photo with another and then shook hands with someone, as captured in a 24-second video posted to Streamable.
That John could smile through it all prevented any redos of his infamous on-court interaction with Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo during the first round that resulted in him and the Pacers agreeing to an eight-game ban that ended during the Eastern Conference finals.

John waved a towel and celebrated on the court after the Pacers ousted the Bucks in five games and he eventually crossed paths with the ex-MVP, bumping heads with him.
Antetokounmpo called John's actions 'very disrespectful,' while the elder Haliburton apologized and his son called out his father's tactics.

'He needs to just allow me to play basketball and stay over there, and I'll come to him to celebrate,' Tyese said at the time. 'But the emotions of the game got excited there. I talked with him. I'll talk with Giannis about it. I don't think my pops was in the right at all there.'
The Finals shifts to Indianapolis for Game 6 and Tyrese's health is the biggest storyline.
The point guard is believed to have a strained right calf and had been scheduled for an MRI exam to determine the extent of the injury, per ESPN.
Tyrese missed all of his shots from the field in Game 5, finishing with just four points while dealing with a lower-half injury.

'It's the Finals, man. It's the NBA Finals,' Haliburton said. 'I've worked my whole life to be here and I want to be out there to compete, help my teammates any way I can. I was not great (in Game 5) by any means, but it's not really a though of mine to not play here. If I can help walk, then I want to play.
'Gotta be ready to go for Game 6.'

Fabio Quartararo injures shoulder in practice crash at MotoGP's Italian GP
MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo has been taken to hospital following a big accident during the first official practice session at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. The Yamaha rider went down after just 10 minutes as the front of the bike got away from the Frenchman heading into the fast left-right sequence at Turn 4 in Mugello. Advertisement Quartararo's left shoulder hit the ground hard before he continued to slide into the gravel along with the bike. The 2021 world champion spent a prolonged period lying in the gravel trap, clutching his left shoulder which had been dislocated. Quartararo then had his shoulder popped back into place on the spot. It was clear that he was in pain, but he was adamant about getting back to the garage to continue the session, even arguing with the marshals about the quickest way to recover his Yamaha. After returning to the pits, Quartararo was examined by Angel Charte, the championship's medical director, who performed an initial assessment. Quartararo was then given an anti-inflammatory so he could return to the track. Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha Factory Racing Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha Factory Racing 'In the crash, Fabio dislocated his left shoulder, something that has happened to him before. He popped it back into place himself, as he's done on other occasions,' Charte commented after the session. Advertisement 'I allowed him to go back out, but now we're sending him to a hospital in Florence to get an MRI scan on his left shoulder." Despite the discomfort, Quartararo finished the session in fifth which moved him directly into Q2 for Saturday's qualifying. His participation for the rest of the weekend, however, depends on him receiving the all-clear from the hospital. "He Was Not In Jail": Tyrese Haliburton Clears The Air On Father Not Attending Pacers' Games Up To Now
"He Was Not In Jail": Tyrese Haliburton Clears The Air On Father Not Attending Pacers' Games Up To Now originally appeared on Fadeaway World. The Pacers have taken a 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Knicks. Tyrese Haliburton put on a show for his home fans with a triple-double. He had 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds. But the biggest storyline for him in this game was that it was his father's first game back from the ban he had on attending both home and away Pacers' games. Pacers lifted the ban on their home arena, but the NBA has still disallowed Mr. John Haliburton from traveling with the team. Advertisement Haliburton spoke to the media after his glorious Game 4 performance and also brought up what it was like to have his father back at games. Haliburton had a broad smile on his face as he seemed to point out that the media seemed to have blown the whole issue out of proportion. 'I just wanted to put on a good performance, you know, I wanted to win the game. You know, obviously my dad being here is special, but I mean, growing up, like, my dad was reffing a lot on the weekends, so he didn't get to come to many of my games growing up. So when he would come to my game, I'd want to play well. So with him being the building, of course, I wanted to play well. But I mean, we ain't got no we're saying free pops and pops is free, but he was not in jail. He happened to be in a very beautiful home, sitting very pretty, watching NBA basketball. He's just fine. So yeah, I was happy he was in the building.' Haliburton put on a show for his father's comeback to Pacers' games. He joined Russell Westbrook as the only players in NBA history with 20 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds in a single half of the Playoffs. Why Tyrese Haliburton's Father Was Banned From Pacers' Games Tyrese Haliburton's father got into an altercation with the Bucks' superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo on the court after the Pacers eliminated them in five games. Giannis got triggered by Haliburton's father coming onto the court for what seemed to him as trash-talk directed at him. Antetokounmpo confronted Haliburton's father and also spoke out to the media about how the comments hit a nerve for him. John Haliburton later clarified that the Bucks' star had misunderstood trash talk that was directed at Pacers fans from an enthusiastic father to be hurtful comments directed at Giannis. He even issued an apology. Advertisement As a result, John Haliburton was banned from attending any of the Pacers' games in their second-round series with the Cavaliers. The Pacers now head to New York to possibly close out their series against the Knicks in five games as well. While Haliburton's dad will not be at Game 5, he will certainly be at Game 6 if the series goes on till then. T.J. McConnell's Father Crashes His Interview On TV And Catches Him Off Guard With Old Story: "It's A Dream Come True"
T.J. McConnell's Father Crashes His Interview On TV And Catches Him Off Guard With Old Story: "It's A Dream Come True" originally appeared on Fadeaway World. T.J. McConnell provided the necessary spark from the bench as the Pacers forced a Game 7 in their NBA Finals series against the Thunder. The Pacers' veteran played only 24 minutes in the game and stuffed the stat sheet. He finished the game with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Advertisement Following the game, the crew of NBA TV, including NBA legend Isiah Thomas, interviewed McConell. They were poking him about yelling at his father, Tim McConnell for not being taller or marrying someone taller, when they saw him behind the camera. Thomas invited McConell Sr, who seemed offended, to also join them, and he came running. "He finds a way to get everywhere," said McConell hilariously as his father greeted the entire crew personally. 'I'm telling you right now, he's a warrior, you're right. It doesn't matter how tall you are,' said Tim in response to the jab on his height. He then moved on to give his opinion about his son's performance. 'Excellent, just disappointed he missed two foul shots. In the beginning, I kept saying, 'Man! I wish he'd have made those two foul shots' but he recovered and we won the game. I can forget about the foul shots; anything can happen in Game 7, we're going to OKC to try to win a world championship. And my son's a part of it, I can't believe that.' Advertisement Isiah Thomas then asks Tim why his son claims that he is more strict on him than he is on T.J.'s sister, Megan McConnell. 'He says that, but that's a lie. Let me tell you, my daughter won the undefeated state championship, he lost in the state championship, we lost two games. So undefeated, he didn't play well in the state championship, he played great but we didn't win it.' 'It's unbelievable,' said the embarrassed Pacers veteran in disbelief. 'The truth hurts,' responded his father. But he made sure to remind him how proud he is of his achievements now. "I can't be more proud to say I have a son in the NBA and a daughter in the WNBA... this is a dream come true. And I'm going to OKC for my son to play in the championship game, to win the world championship.' T.J. McConnell has averaged 11.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in six games played so far in this series. But the standout number is that he averages 2.3 steals per game in this duration. Averaging 19 minutes played per game in this series, McConnell is an essential part of the Pacers' bench. Yet it is surprising to hear that his performance has already brought him into the discussion to potentially become the Finals MVP in this series. Lakers Veteran Picks T.J. McConnell For Finals MVP The NBA veteran twins, Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris, appeared on their podcast with the Playmaker following Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Marcus asked Markieff who he would pick for the Finals MVP in this series. The Lakers' veteran felt that if T.J. McConnell continues to play like this in Game 7 and the Pacers win the championship, then he would pick him for the Finals MVP over Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam. Advertisement "If the Pacers win and he continues to play like he has been in these last couple of games, I'm going with T.J. McConnell, bruh.' 'F**k outta here!' responded his brother in disbelief. 'I'm going with T.J. f**king McConnell, he's single-handedly winning these games for these boys, man. The loudest 12 in NBA history, anytime he scores like damn!' T.J. McConnell was crucial in their Game 3 win of this series, and the Pacers' coaching staff received a lot of criticism for not playing him in the fourth quarter of Game 5 when he had sparked their comeback in the third quarter. And now with his essential contributions in Game 6, he has certainly put his name in the elite discussion.
