Florida 2026 wide receiver announces when he will officially visit Notre Dame
Notre Dame football wants difference makers in its 2026 recruiting class at wide receiver, and they've been doing a great job of casting a wide net to land others to compliment current commitments Dylan Faison and Bubba Frazier.
One of those targets is Florida's Brian Williams, a 6-foot, 4-inch and 185-pound underrated prospect. Currently ranked as the nation's No. 748 overall player in the 247Sports Composite, he announced five official visits that he'll make over the next few months. One of them will be to South Bend, Williams' last of this group starting on June 19th.
He also taking trips to Penn State, Florida, Alabama and Kentucky, but the Irish have the current advantage of being the last one on his list. Notre Dame has its work cut out for them to land the talented receiver, but they are squarely in the mix for Williams.

2026 five-star athlete snubs Penn State, Oregon for SEC

For Penn State and Oregon, landing a player of Brandon Arrington's stature would have paid dividends. For the Nittany Lions, it would have been their first five-star recruit in their 7th-ranked 2026 class. For Oregon, it would have been their second and a testament to DC Tosh Lupoi's recruiting along the defense. However, it is not meant to be for both teams, as the No. 1 overall athlete and 10th overall recruit decide to take his talents to College Station and the Aggies. Arrington had recently visited Oregon on June 6 and Penn State earlier in the month. The most shocking aspect of this commitment is that he didn't visit the Aggies officially at all. In fact, he was supposed to have his visit on June 20th, with his commitment to come in early July. However, Arrington decide to move up his commitment date to the 19th, something which could not have been foreseen by either Penn State nor Oregon. Seemingly, his mind was made up long ago. With this commitment for the Aggies, it sees them become the No. 2 ranked class in the nation and sees Mike Elko establish himself as one of the elite recruiters in college football. However, the loss of Arrington for both Big Ten programs stings, especially for Penn State. At the very least, Oregon have a five-star in the building despite their 33rd overall rank and 10th overall Big Ten rank in the 2026 cycle. For Penn State, no matter the fact they have the 7th-ranked class, this is a big loss for a program looking to make a statement. With Arrington, Penn State could point to him as a symbol of their continued success. Now, they're left to pick up the pieces of what could have been. Immanuel Iheanacho, the No. 1 corner in the class, is now their only hope. Penn State must act swiftly if they don't want to strike out yet again. Alabama reportedly offers top 2027 in-state quarterback prospect

This past week, the Alabama Crimson Tide officially extended an offer to one of the top in-state quarterbacks in Alabama's 2027 class, Trent Seaborn. Seaborn announced the offer from Alabama via a post on social media. A name that has grown more-and-more across Alabama high school football in recent years, Seaborn has been a starter at quarterback for one of the state's top programs, Thompson High School, since his eighth grade season back in 2022. Since, Seaborn has helped lead Thompson to two Class 7A state championships in 2022 and 2024, which is Alabama's highest classification. According to the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings, Seaborn is currently considered as the nation's No. 215 overall player in the 2027 class, as well as the No. 16 quarterback nationally. Seaborn, a four-star prospect, is also considered as the No. 9 prospect in the state of Alabama.
