We have another biopic about a famous musician coming, and this time it's about Bruce Springsteen.
Springsteen, nicknamed "the Boss," is considered one of the most influential musicians in American rock. His career has spanned six decades, with a majority of his albums featuring the iconic E Street Band. After releasing his first two albums, he achieved worldwide popularity with Born to Run in 1975, and then again with Born in the U.S.A. in 1984.
Springsteen has won 20 Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, an Academy Award, and a Special Tony Award. He's also been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. And in 2010, Rolling Stone ranked him No. 23 on their "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" list, saying, "In many ways, Bruce Springsteen is the embodiment of rock & roll."
So now, it seems like the only other thing that needs to be checked off the list is a biopic about his life and how he changed music forever.
Directed and written by Scott Cooper, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere will chronicle Springsteen's time making his 1982 album Nebraska, an album that was recorded in his New Jersey bedroom, and marked a pivotal time in his career before he was launched into global superstardom.
Cooper is best known for his Academy Award-nominated work on 2009's Crazy Heart starring Jeff Bridges.
Speaking about Deliver Me From Nowhere, Springsteen told Variety, "They pitched the idea, and I said, 'It sounds like fun.' It's an interesting concept, because it's only a couple of years out of my life. It's '81, '82, and centered around the creation of that particular record while I was simultaneously recording Born in the USA and also going through some personal difficulties that I've been living with my whole life. But it's fantastic."
The film stars Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen and Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Springsteen's manager and record producer.

It also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Stephen Graham, Gaby Hoffmann, Marc Maron, David Krumholtz, Johnny Cannizzaro, and more.
Teasing Jeremy Allen White's performance, Springsteen told SiriusXM, "He sings well. He sings very well." He also added, "Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it. He's got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize, and he's just done a great job, so I've had a lot of fun. I've had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there."
And this takes us to now, when 20th Century Studios released the first trailer for Deliver Me From Nowhere, and we get to see Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen for the first time.
Here's a side-by-side from the trailer of Jeremy performing "Born to Run, which was released in 1975, vs. Springsteen himself around the same time:

The trailer also gave us a first look at Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, who was Springsteen's longtime manager and producer. In fact, he's credited with writing in a 1974 article for The Real Paper, per the New York Times, "I saw rock and roll's future and its name is Bruce Springsteen!"

She's an Australian actor who is best known for starring in films like Looking for Grace and The Daughter, and the 2022 limited series The Staircase. Next up, she'll be seen in the Netflix series, Black Rabbit, alongside Jason Bateman and Jude Law.

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's daughter opens up about her famous dad's alleged affairs: ‘They were hookers'

Desi, you got some 'splainin' to do. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's only daughter, Lucie Arnaz, recently opened up about the alleged affairs her father had while still married to the 'I Love Lucy' starlet. But Lucie wouldn't consider her famous dad's suspected infidelities 'affairs' because he allegedly only cheated on Ball with 'hookers' whose names 'he didnt even know.' 8 Lucie Arnaz recently opened up about her parents Desi Arnaz and Lucile Ball's marriage, as well as his suspected infidelities, in a new interview. CBS 8 Lucie wouldn't consider her dad's suspected infidelities 'affairs' because he allegedly only cheated on Ball with 'hookers.' Getty Images 'People say he had affairs,' Lucie, 73, told CBS Sunday Morning in a new interview. 'He never had an affair.' 'He didn't even know these dames' names, you know?' she added. 'They were hookers.' Even though Lucie admitted that her father likely cheated on her Hollywood icon mom, she also insisted that Desi 'loved' Ball and that Ball 'understood' that. 8 'People say he had affairs. He never had an affair,' Lucie said. 'He didn't even know these dames' names, you know? They were hookers.' CBS 'He loved my mother. He loved his family. It was a very unique, weird problem to have, and I think that's the reason she stayed with him so long, is that she understood it,' she continued. 'I don't think I could do what she did.' 'But somehow at the time, with what they had, with what they needed from each other, they stuck it out as long as they could,' Lucie added. The 'I Love Lucy' stars married in November 1940 and, 11 years later, introduced audiences across the country to the show that some say 'invented' the modern sitcom. 8 Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball married in November 1940. Getty Images Desi, who was a successful musician and bandleader before playing Ricky Ricardo in 'I Love Lucy,' and Ball, who was an aspiring actress before she exploded in popularity as Lucy Ricardo on the show, welcomed Lucie just six weeks after they filmed the first episode. Although Ball reportedly wanted to name her daughter Susan, Desi allegedly went behind his wife's back and changed it to Lucie on the birth certificate. The couple later welcomed a son, Desi Arnaz Jr., in 1953. 8 The 'I Love Lucy' stars welcomed daughter Lucie in 1951 and son Desi Jr. in 1953. Getty Images But Ball ultimately filed for divorce from Desi in March 1960 after 20 tumultuous years of marriage. 'It got so bad that I thought it would be better for us not to be together,' the actress and comedian reportedly told the court during her and Desi's divorce proceedings. 'They were just going through a routine for the children,' biographer Bart Andrews later told People in 1991. 'She told me that for the last five years of their marriage, it was 'just booze and broads.'' 8 Ball filed for divorce from Desi in March 1960 after 20 tumultuous years of marriage. Getty Images The rise and fall of the couple's relationship was depicted in the 2021 biopic 'Being the Ricardos' – which Lucie recently called 'so wrong' and 'such a crock of poop.' Meanwhile, Lucie can still remember exactly where she and her little brother were when they learned that their parents were splitting up. 'We were at their house in Palm Springs,' she told CBS Sunday Morning. 'And they said that, 'We love each other, but the being-husband-and-wife part is broken. And we can't live together anymore.'' 8 Lucie still remembers exactly where she and her little brother were when they learned that their parents were splitting up. CBS 'And I remember that my brother said, 'But if it's broken, can't you just fix it? Can't you put stuff on it and fix it?'' Lucie added. 'And they said, 'I don't think so.'' Lucie also admitted that her parents were 'happier' after their split. 'The truth of it is, they were happier after they got divorced,' she admitted. 'The screaming and the arguing and all that stuff stopped.' 8 'The truth of it is, they were happier after they got divorced,' Lucie admitted. Getty Images Both stars remarried following their 1960 divorce. Desi tied the knot with family friend Edith Mack Hirschin in 1963, and they remained married until her passing in 1985. He later died from lung cancer in December 1986 at the age of 69. As for Ball, she married comedian Gary Morton in 1962. They remained married until Ball tragically passed away following a ruptured aortic aneurysm in April 1989. She was 77.

AI revives the Dragon: Bruce Lee's legacy gets high-tech makeover

AI is coming for Bruce Lee, whether fans of the legendary San Francisco-born martial arts icon like it or not. The China Film Foundation is launching two artificial intelligence -driven projects as part of the Kung Fu Film Heritage Project, including the restoration of classic martial arts films starring Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li and many others. Also in the works is what it calls the world's first fully AI-produced animated feature film. Lee's Hong Kong films 'The Big Boss' (1969) and 'Fist of Fury' (1972), Chan's 'Drunken Master' (1978) and Li's 'Once Upon a Time in China' (1991) are among the 100 movies scheduled for restoration. As reported by Variety, China Film Foundation chair Zhang Qilin said at the Shanghai International Film Festival on Wednesday, June 18, that AI will be used to enhance image, sound and production quality while preserving the storytelling and aesthetic. 'From Bruce Lee to Jackie Chan, from 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' to 'Wolf Warrior,' these films have shown the world the vitality and spirit of the Chinese people,' Zhang said. 'They are our cinematic calling cards to the world.' The Shanghai festival also featured the world premiere of 'A Better Tomorrow: Cyber Border,' a futuristic animated reboot of John Woo's action classic 'A Better Tomorrow' (1986), made completely with AI. 'This entire animated feature was made by just 30 people,' producer Zhang Qing said. 'AI has collapsed the barrier between creativity and execution. The production cycle has gone from years to months.' But the use of AI for restorations can raise troubling creative issues. Lee, who died in 1973 at age 32 of a cerebral edema, and director Lo Wei, who died in 1996 at 77, are not around to guide the technicians who would use those AI tools. Many film purists argue that part of the charm of historic movies is their retro look. And that 'enhancing' the production quality can be viewed as an attempt to make an older film look like a modern film. George Lucas did this with the original 'Star Wars' trilogy to mixed reactions. Lucas, however, is the creator of those classic films. Zhang Qilin and Tian Ming, the chair of Canxing Media, which is partnering with China Film Foundation on the project, insisted this is about preservation and not alteration. 'AI is the brush, but creativity is the soul,' Ming said. 'Classic kung fu films embody China's spiritual backbone.' The Lee films are slated to be among the first 10 to be restored.

Jordon Hudson flaunts abs while wearing bikini in new summery photo

Jordon Hudson is a California girl — at least for the weekend. On Friday, the Maine native and 24-year-old girlfriend of Bill Belichick teased her recent travels to the West Coast by sharing a poolside snap on Instagram that featured her lounging in a pink and white striped bikini. 'Maine girl takes on California (ironically),' Hudson captioned the post with her abs on full display. Belichick, who first met Hudson aboard a flight in 2021, told reporters this month how he's tuning out the noise. 'Is there noise out there? We've always dealt with that,' he said. 'Really, our job is to build a football team and… help build the team and also build their individual careers. So that's really where we're at.' UNC hosts TCU in its season opener on Sept. 1.
