Although the film brought together some of the biggest names in Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan had then revealed that he wasn't too pleased about his part.
'It is just a cameo!' said Big B
In an old interview with Rediff before the film's release, Amitabh Bachchan spoke openly about how he felt regarding his role. He said, 'It is just a cameo! I play a man in charge of an orphanage. I also play Aishwarya's uncle. I felt so bad about it.'
The legendary actor revealed that he wasn't too happy with the limited scope of his character. However, he still found one thing that made the experience enjoyable. 'One thing I liked about my role was it gave me chance to interact with kids. After Mr Natwarlal, this is the first time I get to do that. So playing Ms Rai's uncle became bearable.'
Working with Aishwarya Rai
Despite the small role, Amitabh had only kind words when asked about Aishwarya Rai as a co-star.
'Ah, she's exceptionally beautiful. According to me and Jaya, she looks wonderful in KHGN. I feel she needs to do more mature subjects now.'
He was further asked if Aishwarya was one of his favourite co-stars, and he replied in his usual charming way, 'All my co-stars are my favourites. You don't have to take me to task because I like Ms Rai. Who doesn't? I get along with everybody. Those I don't get along with, I do not work with.

At the time of 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na…', Aishwarya was not yet connected to the Bachchan family. She was reportedly dating Vivek Oberoi, her co-star in the film. Their relationship made headlines and was often discussed by all their fans.

Mumbai stars cash hot realty, endorsements
Yesteryear actor Jeetendra, also a promoter of Balaji Telefilms, created a splash recently selling off two family-owned pieces of prime real estate in Mumbai's sought-after suburb of Andheri for a humungous Rs 855 crore. The 2.4 acre property, which currently houses the Balaji IT Park, and a few commercial buildings, was sold to NTT Global Data Centers. While this deal was the talk of the town because of its size, it was not the only celebrity sell-off. Mumbai in recent months has seen a spate of high value sales by Bollywood actors and cricketers. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan was in the news for selling a large duplex apartment in a building called 'Atlantis', located in the suburb of Andheri, for Rs 83 crore. In March, actor Akshay Kumar made a splash with the sale of two residential units in a gated community called 'Oberoi Sky City', in the north-west suburb of Borivali, for Rs 6.6 crore. He followed it up in April with the sale of a 1,200 sq ft commercial office space in 'One Place Lodha' for Rs 8 crore. Abhishek Bachchan, also a big real estate player in the Mumbai market, meanwhile, is in the process of offloading a prime duplex apartment on the 40thand 41st floor of one of the towers in Planet Godrej, in the Mahalaxmi Area of south Mumbai. Purchased from Godrej Properties (GPL) around 12years ago, Bachchan Junior has been leasing the apartment at high rentals. They are deals to cash out of some properties when the going is good, while they rejig their portfolio. 'Amitabh Bachchan's sales are evenly matched by his shopping spree for prime land in Ayodhya,' points out Pankaj Kapoor, founder of the property tracking site LiasesForas.

Amitabh Bachchan was handed a CD of a Hollywood movie, instead of script of 'Ek Ajnabee', recalls producer Bunty Walia
After going through a difficult time in the 1990s, Amitabh Bachchan was successfully making a comeback in Bollywood in the early 2000s. During this time, filmmakers in India had no concerns about remaking Hollywood films, even without buying any rights, as the laws regarding these matters weren't strictly in place at the time. Following the trend, Big B was also given a CD of Hollywood movie—but, surprisingly, without a script. The actor who is considered the best actor in the Indian film industry , was obviously shocked when he was handed the CD and asked if he would want to do the Indian version of the film. Inspired by ' Man on Fire ' Producer Bunty Walia discussed the filming of Ek Ajnabee, which was directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starred Arjun Rampal , on Friday Talkies' YouTube channel. Lakhia stated that he was inspired to make the film after seeing the Denzel Washington film Man on Fire. The two believed that Amitabh would be the most suitable candidate for the role if they decided to remake it. Lakhia had previously made his Bollywood debut in Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, starring Abhishek Bachchan. Pitch without a script According to Bunty, 'I talked to Amitabh sir's secretary, Sheetal ji, and we fixed up a meeting with him. When I met with him, he asked me for the script, and I told him that we didn't have any script, and I handed him the CD of Man on Fire. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo I told him we were going to 'Indianise' it and then make a film.' Bachchan asked, "What do I do with it?" because he didn't understand what they were attempting to do. Walia continued. Their degree of readiness certainly did not impress his secretary. 'I remember Sheetal ji looking at me like I was a fool. We didn't have a script or schedule for the film, and we were trying to sign him for the film. He gave us dates for many months later and told us straight that now it was our job to convince Amitabh sir to do the film.' Despite this, Amitabh Bachchan finally agreed to play the lead in Ek Ajnabee, which came out in 2005 and won praise for his powerful performance.
