CNBlue front man to celebrate 10 years since solo debut
Jung Yong-hwa, front man of pop rock band CNBlue, is set to hold a series of solo concerts in July to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his solo debut.
Jung's upcoming concerts, under the banner of "Director's Cut: Our Fine Days," will be held at Olympic Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from July 18 to 20, according to his agency FNC Entertainment on Wednesday.
Jung released his first solo studio album, 'One Fine Day,' in January 2015, launching his solo journey with an Asia tour of the same title. He has continued to pursue his own music apart from his work with the band, releasing the mini album 'Do Disturb' in 2017 and 'Your City' in 2023.
Jung has also established himself as an all-around entertainer, not only in music, but also in acting and variety shows. He hosts a music talk show called 'LP Room' on YouTube.
CNBlue, known for its vibrant music and live performance skills, stands out among Korean bands. Most recently, CNBlue wrapped up its Asia and North America tour 'CNBlue Live ― Voyage into X,' and has continued to appear at major festivals and university events across Korea.
Tickets for Jung's upcoming concerts will be available via Melon Ticket. Early sales for Weverse membership holders will open at 8 p.m., Thursday, while general ticket sales will begin at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

36 teams unveiled so far, more to come Korea's longest-running international rock music event, the Busan International Rock Festival, has announced its second lineup for this year's event, featuring a strong mix of global legends and top Korean acts. The Thursday announcement revealed the addition of major artists, including Suede, one of the defining bands of the 1990s Brit-pop movement; Mika, a British singer-songwriter of Lebanese descent; Jaurim, a Korean alternative-rock powerhouse; and CNBlue, the band fronted by Busan-born vocalist Jung Yong-hwa. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon, whose unique sound has earned him invitations from festivals nationwide, also joined the lineup. Rising star Woodz, whose breakout hit 'Drowning' propelled him into the spotlight, is also set to take the stage. Festival favorites 10cm and Touched will also bring a balance of musicality and mainstream appeal to the stage. In addition to the main festival, a series of side events will take place. The Seoul show of 'Road to Bu-Rock,' a pre-festival concert, will be held Saturday and Sunday at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu. 'Rookies on the Bu-Rock,' known for discovering and supporting emerging artists each year, is now open for applications through July 2.

Korea embraces beauty of everyday with monthlong craft exhibitions
Craft exhibitions on hanji and hanbok await visitors this month South Korea is turning up the charm this month with a series of craft exhibitions that celebrate the artistry found in everyday objects. The Korea Craft and Design Foundation is presenting "Hanji Objects: Embracing Wisdom" at Hanji House in Jongno-gu, central Seoul, through June 22. The exhibition spotlights "hanji," traditional Korean paper made from mulberry bark, and its evolving role over the centuries. Once primarily used for writing and books, hanji has long been repurposed into durable, lightweight and humidity-resistant household items. Artifacts on loan from the Hanji Art and Culture Foundation in Wonju, Gangwon Province, and the Goesan Hanji Experience Museum in North Chungcheong Province, illustrate the craftsmanship and ancestral wisdom embedded in these handmade pieces. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and admission is free. From June 13 to 15, the KCDF will also host a three-day hanbok fair at AK& Sejong. The 2025 Hanbok Expo will feature eight hanbok brands — Guiroe, Ccomaque by Dolsilnai, Daraewon Hanbok, Sun Daum, Somock Hanbok, Somikyung, Ondata Parang, and Flora Dress and Hanbok — offering visitors a chance to try on traditional attire and explore the synergy between Hangeul and hanbok. Later that month, jeweler and maker Kim Yoo-jung will unveil her second solo exhibition in five years, "Refuse to Disappear," at Yeol Bukchonga in Jongno-gu, June 17-23.
