Krispy Kreme
.
The deal also marks Curefoods' entry in North India with Krispy Kreme, after its takeover of seven retail stores and four cloud kitchens in Delhi NCR. The financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
With this expansion, Curefoods now operates over 100 Krispy Kreme outlets across the country. Last December, it had acquired the South and West India operations of Krispy Kreme.
US-based Krispy Kreme Inc has operations in 40 countries through a network of doughnut shops, retail partnerships and a digital platform.

Curefoods also intends to broaden its footprint in other parts of the country, with a focus on western regions such as Mumbai.
Founded in 2020 by former Flipkart executive Nagori, Curefoods houses brands such as EatFit, Cakezone, Nomad Pizza, Sharief Bhai Biryani and Frozen Bottle. The Bengaluru-based company has over 500 cloud kitchens and offline stores in 40 cities.
Curefoods posted 53 per cent
revenue growth
in fiscal year 2024 and narrowed its net loss to less than a half of what it was the year before.
According to a report released last year by the
National Restaurant Association of India
, the cloud kitchen sector expanded at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30-40 per cent between 2019 and 2024. The segment is expected to grow at a CAGR of 35 per cent over the next four years, the report added.

However, court documents, accessed by the publication alleged that the crew still served her a meal that contained shrimp, a mistake that nearly turned fatal. Doctor undergoes treatment in Paris Unaware of the contents, Dr Benary consumed a portion of the meal. She reportedly realised something was wrong only after she began to feel unwell and detected the presence of shrimp. According to the lawsuit, when she raised the alarm, a flight attendant allegedly admitted the error and offered an apology. But by then, the damage was done. The report further said that the allergic reaction was so severe that the aircraft had to make an emergency diversion to Paris, where Dr Benary was rushed to hospital by ambulance. She underwent urgent treatment at two separate medical facilities, the documents state. The lawsuit, which brings renewed attention to how airlines handle passengers with severe food allergies, comes at a time when global carriers are under increasing scrutiny for in-flight safety protocols, especially concerning dietary restrictions and medical preparedness. Singapore Airlines has yet to publicly comment on the matter.

IOC appoints Camille Cheng as mental health ambassador for Asia Olympic swimmer Camille Cheng Lily-mei has been named one of the first mental health ambassadors by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), recognizing her commitment to athlete wellness beyond her accomplishments in the pool. Cheng, who has represented Hong Kong in three Olympic Games, was invited to attend the IOC Consensus Meeting on Mental Health for Elite Athletes earlier this month in Lausanne, Switzerland. She will serve as the female ambassador representing Asia.
