Barcelona vs Real Madrid LIVE SCORE: Copa del Rey final on NOW as Pedri scores SCREAMER

The Sun26-04-2025

BARCELONA and Real Madrid are going head-to-head in the final of the Copa del Rey RIGHT NOW.
And Barca took the lead just before the half-hour mark through a wondergoal from Pedri.
Before the match, referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea broke down in tears during a press conference after being asked about a Real Madrid TV video attacking officials.
The video highlighted decisions that had gone against Real, which the club believe to have been incorrect.
Real were not happy to see De Burgos Bengoetxea put in charge of the final, branding the decision 'unacceptable' - and reports suggested that Los Blancos wanted the refereeing team changed for the huge clash this evening.
The Spanish giants cancelled media duties and the official training session after the interview, before rubbishing rumours that they would boycott the match.

Nothing hurts more than El Classico
Neither of these sides are happy to suffer defeats, their success dictates that it rarely happens.
Losing to your biggest rivals in this game is an even more bitter pill to swallow, one Madrid experienced in the Spanish Super Cup.
Ancelotti will not want that feeling again tonight and will be looking to get revenge for that loss earlier in the season.

Welcome to Barcelona vs Real Madrid
It does not get much better than an El Classico on a Saturday evening as the Spanish giants lock horns in the Copa Del Ray final.
Barcelona are looking to win the competition for a 32nd time, while Real Madrid are hoping for 21st time getting their hands on the trophy.
Carlo Ancelotti's side come into this one with more pressure on their shoulders after their recent Champions League exit.
Hansi Flick has had an immense first season at the Catalan club and has the chance of winning four trophies.
They beat their rivals in the Spanish Cup 5-2 to get their hands on a first piece of silverware and are currently four points ahead of Real Madrid with five La Liga games remaining.
This is all set up for an absolute classic this evening.

But the match ended in chaos as players from both sides clashed in a touchline fracas, with former Leeds man Charlie Cresswell at the centre of things. Though our boys had more than just him to worry. England u21s clash with Germany SUSPENDED as stadium plunged into semi-darkness and players taken off pitch In-demand Valencia midfield duo Javi Guerra and Diego Lopez and Las Palmas' Alberto Moleiro were the three matadors ordered to provide the magic for him. Lopez was straight into it, heading over before a minute had passed and then 30 seconds later his shot hit Charlie Cresswell's arm and the ref pointed to the spot. Fortunately, England survived as a VAR check led to the Italian official Simone Sozza overturning his decision. And Carsley's men roared back to turn a potential nightmare start into a dream one. Alex Scott's corner flicked off a defender's head and the Spaniards failed to deal with and allowed McAtee to pounce and drill home from eight yards. Moments later the Young Lions doubled their advantage when Quansah powered forward and thundered a strike towards goal. It was too much for Alejandro Iturbe, and Elliott reacted quickest to slot home after the keeper spilled it. Spain were stunned and struggled to threaten until they were gifted a way back into it. Scott's sloppiness allowed Moleiro to nick it, dart into the box before going down after colliding with Quansah's outstretched left leg. Guerra, after a lengthy delay, kept his cool to send James Beadle the wrong way to leave the game on a knife edge going into the break. England shot out the traps after the restart as Quansah found Omari Hutchinson on the edge of the box. The Ipswich winger's brilliant backheel set Stansfield free, but his strike was deflected over. Cresswell headed Elliot's corner into the side-netting but it was Beadle's heroics that kept their lead on the hour with a superb double save to deny Guerra. Spain were beginning to pile on the pressure as Cresswell threw his body in front of a stinger from Moleiro. But for all of their play and passing, they just could not find a way through as their hopes died right at the death when Beadle saved low down from Roberto Fernandez. Nottingham Forest ace Anderson then stepped up to the spot to fire home a penalty at the death, knocking the stuffing out of Spain for good. It was a display to make Sir Francis Drake proud. Marcus Rashford makes clear desire to play at Barcelona

Marcus Rashford has given the clearest indication yet of his desire to play for Barcelona ahead of his move away from Manchester United this summer being decided. Rashford, who was loaned out to Aston Villa last season, has been warm-weather training in Malaga and has spoken of how much he would like to play with Barcelona's 17-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal. He also discussed his boyhood idol being ex-Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry. Dwaine Maynard, Rashford's brother and agent, has previously held meetings with Barcelona representatives but no deal has progressed. While Barcelona's admiration of Rashford, 27, is genuine, they also hold an interest in Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams and it is unlikely they would sign two wide forwards in the same window. Rashford, when pointedly asked if he would like to play with Yamal, said: 'Yes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully... we'll see.' Ruben Amorim froze out Rashford at United last season, dropping him from the match-day squad and then citing his demeanour and standards in training as a factor. But he returned to form during his six months at Villa, reaching the Champions League quarter-finals and helping them towards European qualification. With his loan at Villa over, Rashford returns to the club with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho as players who will look for new clubs this summer. Kobbie Mainoo also lost his place in Amorim's team. Speaking to Spanish influencer Javi 'xBuyer' Ruiz, Rashford described how comfortable he is training in Marbella. 'Spain is nice, it is not too far from home,' he said. 'If I'm training over a long period of time, my family can come over as the flight is only three hours. It's a nice location and good weather.' Rashford also named Henry as a player he admired as a youngster. He also listed his qualities as being able to play through the middle, which would be an attribute Barcelona would look at if they were to land Williams and target further attacking players. 'He's [Henry] comfortable playing off the left and in the middle and he is a free-flowing player,' he said. 'When I was young I always enjoyed watching him in the Premier League. The No 9 position is becoming more natural to me.' On Yamal, he added: 'It's difficult to put into words what he's doing because he's not supposed to be doing that at 16 or 17. I don't think we've seen that before. He's going to keep improving.'
