‘I swear by this skincare-infused skin tint for its coverage and bargain price'

Shopping Writer Meghan loves a good full-coverage foundation, but every summer she reaches for this skin tint that's lightweight without losing pigment - and it's super affordable
It's no secret that I'm a sworn Maybelline fan - when it comes to drugstore make-up, I'll rarely use anything else. That said, it took me ages to try the iconic Super Stay Skin Tint when it first released, because skin tints tend to drop the full coverage and lean more towards a light/medium finish.
While that is great for summer, as the serum-like formula makes it more lightweight and enhances natural features without clogging pores, I love a full-coverage foundation, and I didn't think a skin tint would be right for me. But after trying the Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint last summer, I've never gone back.
Infused with skincare benefits, this skin tint perfectly balances the perks of a full-coverage foundation while remaining super light on the skin. It offers a natural finish that doesn't weigh your skin down in warmer temperatures and comes in 60 shades to suit nearly all skin tones. And the best part? You get all of that for £13.93.
My always-reached-for complexion product during the summer months is touted as a lightweight foundation infused with vitamin C for radiant, skin-like coverage. It promises up to 24-hour staying power and resists sweat, humidity, and wear-off, which is why it's my top pick for all summer occasions, whether that's days at work, late nights out, afternoons at the beach, and so much more.
With a thinner, serum-like consistency, this skin tint blends seamlessly whether you're using a brush or a beauty blender. Offering a luminous, soft-velvet finish, this skin tint could easily be left without powder for a glowing, healthy look - equally, the Maybelline Fit Me powder pairs well with the foundation, drying it down to reduce any unwanted shine without drying it out or causing cakeiness.
As for the staying power, I've found this skin tint definitely lives up to its 24-hour claims. Though I've had times where it's begun to shift around my nose (my problem area) or has smudged off around my mouth after eating, this has typically happened after many hours of wearing it, and usually only if the temperatures have been high, I've been particularly active, or if its gotten wet at some point during the day.
Otherwise, I've put this skin tint on first thing in the morning before work, back when I worked in hospitality, and would wear it through the duration of my 10 to 12-hour work day without the need for a top-up. There have been times I've worn the makeup all day, then worn it straight out to a bar or to the club, and fallen asleep with it on - definitely putting the 24-hour promise to the test. And when I've woken up, the make-up has looked good enough to walk straight out of the house without reapplying.
Formulated to deliver 24-hour wear, the skincare-infused foundation utilises vitamin C, which enriches the formula to illuminate the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin while delivering antioxidant protection, helping improve your complexion in the long run.
The only downside I have found, which is why I don't tend to wear this skin tint during the winter months, is while they offer a massive 60 shades that cater to all skin types and a range of undertones, I am naturally incredibly pale, and Maybelline's palest shade is still slightly too dark for me. It's perfect for the summer when I'm regularly tanned, but when I'm back to my natural skin colour in the colder months, the lightest shade isn't light enough. That said, I have mixed it with paler foundations before to still incorporate it into my base, and it blends seamlessly with all foundations I've paired it with.

Meghan Markle is ‘social mountaineering' herself to the top & the ‘lack of authenticity is palpable', says royal expert

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MEGHAN Markle has come a long way since being a Deal or No Deal briefcase girl - and has since starred in Suits and bagged a prince. However, royal experts have claimed that the Duchess of Sussex is 'social mountaineering' herself to the top but has a lack of 'authenticity.' The two women sat down for a chat, covering family life for Meghan and Prince Harry as well as her ventures after leaving the royal family. Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, news commentator Samara Gill said: 'It was like the lack of authenticity in that interview was really palpable. 'Emma Greed, who was the interviewer, she's such a self-made East Londoner who actually really fought for what she has. 'She's really the brains behind a lot of big brands, the Kardashians etc, which is a little bit tawdry, but you know she really is someone who worked her way to be there. 'Meghan on the other hand really socially mountaineered her way to the top. 'So it's very difficult to take this authentic side that Emma was giving and this complete lack of authenticity that Meghan was showing in the interview, it was very hard to watch.' Royal author and broadcaster Hugo Vickers agreed, saying: 'The thing is, would nobody ever listen to Meghan Markle if it wasn't the fact she'd married Prince Harry? 'I mean the social mountaineering - because she's married to Prince Harry - it gives it a soap opera quality which seems to appeal to everybody otherwise no one would care about. 'I mean a lot of other people doing the sort of things that she does - I mean sprinkling petals over salads and stuff.' Filming up to four episodes a day, sometimes the girls took home more than $23,000 (£17,526) a week, and the intense schedules followed by weeks off allowed her time for auditions. 8 The Sun's royal editor Matt Wilkinson talking to Hugo Vickers and Samara Gill on our royal exclusive show Credit: The Sun 8 Meghan landed her role in Suits in 2011 Credit: Getty 8 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ditched royal duties for life in California in 2020 Credit: Getty Meghan then played Rachel Zane for seven seasons of Suits after she made her debut back in 2011. Meghan Markle 'viewed as irrelevant' by royals amid explosive new swipe at Firm

Meghan Markle appeared to deliver a veiled dig at the Royal Family in a new podcast interview - and one royal expert has revealed how she believes the Firm would have reacted Meghan Markle has embarked on a publicity blitz as the second drop of her eagerly-awaited As Ever products were made available to fans. But it wasn't exactly the new products that raised eyebrows - it was her apparent subtle dig at the Royal Family in a bombshell new podcast interview. It came when the Duchess of Sussex was quizzed on her public image in an appearance on the Aspire by Emma Grede podcast, where she also discussed setting up her own As Ever lifestyle brand, as well as what drives her career goals. Emma asked Meghan: "If you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything that you would do differently?" ‌ ‌ To which Meghan telling said: "Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth." The duchess gave no specifics about to whom she was referring but later talks to a 'lie' told eight years ago. Eight years ago, in 2017, former actress Meghan was dating and became engaged to the now-Duke of Sussex, and began preparing for life as a member of the royal family. Her comment about telling the truth came after Meghan had previously accused the palace of "perpetuating falsehoods" about her during her time as a working royal. But despite the seeming dig, royal expert Jennie Bond tells the Mirror that the comment will not have bothered her in-laws that much. The former BBC royal correspondent said: "I imagine they may see a passing headline about Meghan's latest exploits, but I very much doubt that any of them take much notice about what she is doing or saying. "She is someone they knew for a very brief period of time. I don't think Meghan forged a meaningful relationship with any of the royal family – except, obviously, her husband. And so I think she is viewed as irrelevant by most of the family." In the past few days, Meghan has released her second string of items for sale on the As Ever website, including new items, as well as her signature jam and flower sprinkles. ‌ It comes as she has also ramped up her social media presence on Instagram, posting ever more personal snippets of her life and children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. And Jennie added: "She is now clearly carving out her own path as an influencer and would-be entrepreneur. To be successful in these fields she needs publicity. That's the name of the game. And so she is pumping out as much content as possible. "It's all about clicks and followers - which, in turn, bring money. I don't think there's even the remotest possibility that she would either want to return to life as a working royal or that she would be welcomed back. She's making her own way in life, and that's absolutely fine - good for her. "But personally I now find it laughable even to consider her as 'royal'. Hers was but a brief flirtation with a world she knew nothing about and which she very quickly decided she didn't like. I hope she's hugely successful in her new ventures. She's working hard, she deserves to do well."
