Meghan promises new products – and the return of her jam

Glasgow Times04-06-2025

The about-turn came hours after she was heard telling Beyonce's mother she had decided to 'just pause' until completely ready.
Meghan appeared on her own podcast on Tuesday, recorded in May, telling Tina Knowles she feared annoying customers when the first batch of her jam and herbal teas sold out in less than an hour.
She said wanted to wait until it is 'completely stable and we have everything we need'.
Meghan has since shared a photo of jam-making preparations including bowls of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and freshly squeezed lemons, on her Instagram stories, writing: ''June gloom?' Not over here! Because this month your favourite products are back.'
Her official AsEver account also posted: 'To all who've been wondering and waiting, thank you!
'Your favorites are returning, plus a few NEW things we can't wait to show you. Coming this month…get excited!'
The duchess's bonus Confessions Of A Female Founder episode with Knowles was recorded on May 5, the day before Prince Archie's sixth birthday.
Meghan, who celebrated Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday on Wednesday by sharing previously unseen black and white family photographs of herself with her daughter, began selling her As Ever products in April.
The range includes flower sprinkles, which she used liberally during her Netflix lifestyle show, and raspberry spread, a crepe mix, wildflower honey and an assortment of herbal teas.
She renamed her brand from American Riviera Orchard after running into trademark issues.

I found the best lookalike for Birkenstock's studded sandals and they'll save you £100

Birkenstock's western-inspired studded sandals are perfect for summer, and we've spotted the perfect alternative pair that'll get you the same look for over £100 less If there's one pair of sandals that are a must-have for summer, it's a pair of double strap mules. The style is timeless and easy to style, and one of the most iconic designs for this kind of sandal is, of course, a pair of Birkenstock Arizonas. With the western aesthetic still trending (thanks in no small part to Beyonce 's Cowboy Carter tour), the Birkenstock Arizona Rivet Sandals in Dark Rust are the ideal way to bring the cowboycore look to your summer wardrobe on the days when it's too hot to don your cowboy boots. However with Birkenstock's pair costing £135 they're not always the most budget friendly pick, which is why we couldn't wait to snap up H&M's much more affordable alternative. Priced at £32.99, the H&M Studded Sandals are not only £102 cheaper than the Birkenstock pair, but they have a very similar look that lets you nail the western vibe without spending too much. They come in both black and brown shades, with the brown pair featuring silver studs, whilst the black pair have gold stud details. The double straps both have adjustable buckle fastenings, and the H&M sandals feature a comfortable moulded footbed that means you can wear them for hours at a time with no issues. The soles are also lined with satin, which helps absorb any moisture without creating friction or rubbing on your feet. Although they're made from 100% polyester, the straps have a very convincing suede-look finish, which makes them look much more expensive than they actually are. The hardware details also contribute to their luxe look, making them a great way to save money whilst still looking stylish. If you do want to snap up the real deal, Anthropologie currently has the Birkenstock Arizona Studded Sandals on sale for a limited time, reduced to £108. Meanwhile New Look has an ultra affordable pair on offer, with the Light Brown Faux Suede Studded Sandals on sale for £19.79, down from £32.99. However H&M shoppers have so far been thrilled with their Studded Sandals, giving them a solid five star rating. One wrote: 'Slightly awkward sizing, a little on the wide side but can be adjusted. Look fab.' Whilst another agreed: 'Comfy and stylish. Great value for money.' The sandals come in sizes two to nine. The brown colourway are currently out of stock in sizes seven and eight, whilst the black and gold pair currently only have size twos available due to how popular they are. 'I tried Molly-Mae's summer makeup routine - one product left me mind blown'

Molly Mae has shared what's inside her makeup bag for summer, packed with the dewiest creams and peachy blushes. The entrepreneur and former Love Islander shared a candid video as she did her summer makeup look - and it seems as if she's a huge fan of popular beauty brand Refy. Refy makeup is renowned for it's creamy formulas, sunkissed blushes and levelled-up brow products, and I knew if it was good enough for Molly-Mae, I just had to try it. It's a brand that is constantly cropping up on my TikTok and Instagram with their glossy and sleek videos and with so many celebrities and influencers hailing the products, I knew it was time I tried it out. However with a naturally oily complexion, I was worried how these cream-based products would last on my skin, especially in the warm weather as I usually have to layer on my setting powder throughout the day to help my makeup last without an oily outbreaks. Molly Mae regularly shares her makeup tutorial videos, and fans have been left in a chokehold with her glowing summer skin and it's all thanks to REFY's new Summer Sculpt Collection. Her video was just a few minutes long, but she transformed into a bronzed and dewy beauty. She captioned the post: "The same makeup look for 6 years. Did I achieve a more summery look? @REFY what magic are you putting into your glosses!?" She has previously been vocal about her love for the REFY Cream Bronzer and Cream Blush for years, which are included in the bundle from Jess Hunt's beauty label that is now on sale. The Summer Sculpt Collection contains all of the products needed for your summer makeup bag and features nine pieces of skincare products to help prep the skin as well as makeup items for the finished look. It includes the dual end Duo Brush, Face Sculpt and Sculpt Primer and all items are full size with the option to select your own shades in the blusher, bronzer and lip gloss. In her video, Molly can be seen applying the Face Sculpt moisturiser onto her skin, followed by the Glow and Sculpt Primer, which is fitted with a sculpting facial roller that is in essence a gua sha to help reduce any puffiness, and stimulate blood flow. So, I did the same - and I was very impressed with how glowy my skin instantly became. The applicator of the moisturiser meant my skin had a mini massage as I applied it which was a nice sensation, however I did end up rubbing it in with my fingers in the end as I felt it hadn't properly covered my whole face. One thing I always worry about with a hydrating formula is whether or not it will sink into my skin, as I am oily sometimes it doesn't mix well with my makeup, but this wasn't the case with these two products. Molly then applied her MAC foundation, so I applied my own foundation - I opt for NARS natural radiant longwear, and then copied Molly by then applying the cream bronzer. I used the Duo brush, which is a product the influencer said she "struggles to live without" and I can see why. It seamlessly applied the Cream Bronzer in shade tan to my cheekbones, and I was a little worried at first it was a bit orange, but it blended out very well. There were no patches or clumps - something I tend to get with a powder contour or bronzer and it enhanced my cheekbones well. I then applied REFY's Cream Blush in shade Malaya, which Molly called one of her "absolute favourites" and dabbed it onto the apples of my cheeks with the other end of the brush, as well as my nose to give a natural sun-kissed look. It's clear my skin was already glowing, and a far cry from the ultra-matte look I usually opt for, but I really liked it. However it didn't stop there, as I then applied some Gloss Highlighter in the shade Topaz to the top of my cheekbones and nose, which ehanced the glow even more. I usually never go for a cream highlight, and I was absolutely stunned by how it changed my face. It gave me such a natural yet dewy finish and I feel like my makeup will never look the same now without it. I always usually sway away from any type of product that is creamy and shimmery and I am definitely now converted to a huge fan - so thank you Molly Mae. I then moved onto my brows and used the Refy Brow Pencil in Dark - this isn't included in the Summer Sculpt, but if you are after a good brow pencil I would recommend. I then finished and set my brows with the Refy Brow Sculpt which is like a gel to keep my unruly hairs in place and then picked up the Lash Sculpt lengthening mascara. This is another product Molly gushed about as she said: "It's such a good mascara it literally doesn't miss a single lash. I didn't put on much, but if I layered up they would have gone mental." The unique shape of the wand means even the smaller corner lashes are coated evenly, however I felt as if I had to go over my lashes with another of my mascaras to give a fuller lash look. But for those who prefer a more natural looking eye this would be ideal. To finish off I lined my lips with the Lip Sculpt Liner in shade Fawn and a coating of the Lip Gloss in shade Topaz. I liked the shades of both of these, however the gloss is very sticky once applied. It's safe to say I am truly obsessed with these products, and after being worried about my oily skin, it lasted all day and I didn't feel sticky or oily much to my surprise. I wore it for the whole day and only applied powder twice - which for me is a real result. I feel like I would struggle to wear this makeup with anything other than a foundation as the brozers are quite orange and would look too much without. While it is quite pricey for the full kit, it really does contain everything you need for a perfect sun-kissed look. I am now a huge fan of REFY thanks to Molly Mae, and I feel like I too look like I've just stepped off the plane from Dubai thanks to the glowy products. The Summer Sculpt Collection is worth £184, but retails for £140, which is a saving of £44 exclusively available from REFY. Alternatively, you can shop all of the products I used seperately here: Dual end Duo brush Cream Bronzer in shade tan Cream Blush in shade Malaya Gloss Highlighter in the shade Topaz Refy Brow Pencil in Dark Refy Brow Sculpt Lash Sculpt lengthening mascara Lip Sculpt Liner in shade Fawn Lip Gloss in shade Topaz

Pride of Scotland hosts Elaine C Smith and Sanjeev Kohli are gearing up for the biggest night of the year

The comedy duo can't wait to celebrate Scotland's unsung heroes at our People's oscars. With just one day to go until the Pride of Scotland Awards, hosts Elaine C Smith and Sanjeev Kohli are getting ready to "gie it laldy" for the nation's unsung heroes. The comedy duo are taking the helm again at our People's Oscars and can't wait to give our inspirational 2025 winners a night they will remember forever. ‌ Despite being two of the biggest names in Scottish showbiz both admit when it comes to Pride's incredible unsung heroes, they are the ones who are left starstruck. ‌ Sanjeev, who is one of the standout stars of new Netflix hit Department Q, said: 'The Pride of Scotland Awards are massive and the number of big names who turn out to celebrate our nation's most inspiring people is phenomenal. 'But what the unsung heroes don't realise is that they are the ones who leave the celebrities starstruck because their selfless achievements are far greater. 'As a judge I already know their jaw-dropping stories of bravery and compassion so when you meet them in real life you can't help but be affected. 'They may have eyes like saucers when they see all the stars on the red carpet tomorrow night but mine will be the size of dinner plates when the winners join me and Elaine on stage.' The Still Game star added: 'This will be my third year as host and it's the most fantastic and heart-warming and uplifting event in my calendar. ‌ 'I feel we owe it to all the winners to give them as good a night as possible - it's the least we can do after what they do so selflessly for others." Sanjeev, who starred in BBC hit comedy Dinosaur, admitted he has lost count of all the stand-out moments over the years. He said: 'Last year it was Wilson the miniature Shetland pony in a kilt that really got me. He was wearing two wee pairs of shoes from Build-A-Bear. I truly never thought I would see a pony wearing Converse. ‌ 'His adorable outfit aside - the work Wilson and his owners Elaine and John Sangster do at Therapy Ponies Scotland is incredible. 'Elaine said their wee horses sense when someone needs a boost. I think we should send a whole herd of horses into war zones as everyone would instantly drop their weapons.' ‌ The former River City actor added: 'Another of the 2024 winners who struck a chord with me was John Aitchison, the firefighter who has helped set up the first fire service on Mount Everest. 'The world is getting more insular and intolerant. Just look at Trump deporting anyone who isn't American and then you have Scots guys like John going around the world saying humans are humans and it doesn't matter about the colour of your skin or DNA. That really speaks to me as the son of an immigrant.' From acts of kindness and selfless bravery to raising millions for charity the Daily Record Pride of Scotland Awards with P&O Cruises will salute the nation's unsung heroes. ‌ A host of stars from the worlds of TV, film, music, sport and politics will descend on The Hilton Glasgow tomorrow night to honour the winners. Rob C Nesbitt legend Elaine agrees with Sanjeev about it being one of the most uplifting nights of the year and an antidote to what is going on in the world right now. The gran-of-two, who was given the Freedom of Glasgow earlier this year, said: 'Pride of Scotland brings the light in dark times. ‌ 'There are so many horrific and heartbreaking events happening in the world just now from the situation in the Middle East to the terrible aeroplane crash in India. 'These awards are a reminder to everyone that there is still so much good in the world with folk looking out for their neighbours and going above and beyond to help others in their communities. 'I did a Sunday Mail column for many years and I used to include an 'Angel of the Week' section to highlight the ordinary Scots who are doing extraordinary things. ‌ 'The room tomorrow night will be full to the rafters with 'angels' who are quietly making a massive difference to the world which gladdens my soul and lifts my heart.' She added: 'This is my fifth Pride and like Sanjeev said there have been so many magical moments but one of my all time favourites was in 2023 when the hard man of football Graeme Souness started crying on stage while talking about his hero – Isla Grist. "The teenager has epidermolysis bullosa – a rare and painful skin disorder which causes her skin to burn and blister at the slightest touch. She inspired the football legend to swim the channel and raise £4.5million for drug trials – just incredible. ‌ 'Another standout came in 2022 when I spotted Lulu in the audience and started belting out the first few notes of Shout as a gag. Next thing I knew she was on stage singing her hit and getting everyone to join in - to this day I believe she only did it to stop me singing. 'Last year seeing wee Wilson trotting along the red carpet in his kilt will be something I will never forget - they really are awards like no other.' ‌ Elaine, who became a gran for the second time last year, admitted the Children of Courage get her every year and paid tribute to 2022 winner Zac Gunn who passed away a few weeks ago. She said: 'I have to gird my loins every year to stop myself from greetin.' The kids just melt my heart especially wee Zac who passed away this month just weeks after having a long-awaited lung transplant. I will never forget his huge grin when Paw Patrol came on stage and presented him with his award. 'That wee child fought so hard to live and his death is heartbreaking. My love goes out to his dad Gordon, mum Ashley and brother Jacob.' ‌ Dad-of-three Sanjeev added: 'As a daddy the kids' stories have me in bits every time. Picking the winners from a shortlist is so tough and I feel so guilty - it's like someone telling me I have to pick a favourite child from my own three. 'It's truly astonishing what the Children and Teenagers of Courage bring to this world - such huge altruism from such little people. 'Maybe if adults channelled their less jaded and cynical attitude to life the world would be a better place. Most of these kids are suffering yet they still strive to support and raise funds for others. They are truly remarkable.' ‌ We launched our search for our local heroes of 2025 back in January and were inundated with thousands of nominations from across the nation. Categories include The Emergency Services Award, Teenager of Courage, Young Fundraiser, Outstanding Bravery, The King's Trust Young Achiever, Special Recognition and The P&O Cruises Inspiration Award. One of the biggest names attending tomorrow night's glittering ceremony is Succession legend Brian Cox, who is getting ready to take the stage at the Dundee Rep in new play Make It Happen about the Bank of Scotland's role in the 2008 financial crash. ‌ Other stars who will be honouring the winners include Sheli McCoy aka Sabre, singer Susan Boyle, Star Wars actor Denis Lawson, singers Nathan Evans, Calum Bowie and Cammy Barnes and Strictly's JJ Chalmers and Dr Punam Krishan. Love Island's Paige Turley and Saint Phnx's Stevie Jukes will be going live from the red carpet and presenter Laura Anderson will be manning the Pride of Scotland bar. ‌ First Minister John Swinney will also be there to celebrate the best of Scotland and there will be a performance from Britain's Got Talent finalist Vinnie McKee. - The 2025 Pride of Scotland winners will be revealed in an 8-page pullout in tomorrow's Daily Record - You can catch all the red carpet action on the Pride of Scotland Facebook, Instagram and YouTube page from 5.30pm tomorrow night
