I found the best lookalike for Birkenstock's studded sandals and they'll save you £100

Daily Mirror9 hours ago

Birkenstock's western-inspired studded sandals are perfect for summer, and we've spotted the perfect alternative pair that'll get you the same look for over £100 less
If there's one pair of sandals that are a must-have for summer, it's a pair of double strap mules. The style is timeless and easy to style, and one of the most iconic designs for this kind of sandal is, of course, a pair of Birkenstock Arizonas.
With the western aesthetic still trending (thanks in no small part to Beyonce 's Cowboy Carter tour), the Birkenstock Arizona Rivet Sandals in Dark Rust are the ideal way to bring the cowboycore look to your summer wardrobe on the days when it's too hot to don your cowboy boots. However with Birkenstock's pair costing £135 they're not always the most budget friendly pick, which is why we couldn't wait to snap up H&M's much more affordable alternative.
Priced at £32.99, the H&M Studded Sandals are not only £102 cheaper than the Birkenstock pair, but they have a very similar look that lets you nail the western vibe without spending too much. They come in both black and brown shades, with the brown pair featuring silver studs, whilst the black pair have gold stud details.
The double straps both have adjustable buckle fastenings, and the H&M sandals feature a comfortable moulded footbed that means you can wear them for hours at a time with no issues. The soles are also lined with satin, which helps absorb any moisture without creating friction or rubbing on your feet.
Although they're made from 100% polyester, the straps have a very convincing suede-look finish, which makes them look much more expensive than they actually are. The hardware details also contribute to their luxe look, making them a great way to save money whilst still looking stylish.
If you do want to snap up the real deal, Anthropologie currently has the Birkenstock Arizona Studded Sandals on sale for a limited time, reduced to £108. Meanwhile New Look has an ultra affordable pair on offer, with the Light Brown Faux Suede Studded Sandals on sale for £19.79, down from £32.99.
However H&M shoppers have so far been thrilled with their Studded Sandals, giving them a solid five star rating. One wrote: 'Slightly awkward sizing, a little on the wide side but can be adjusted. Look fab.'
Whilst another agreed: 'Comfy and stylish. Great value for money.'
The sandals come in sizes two to nine. The brown colourway are currently out of stock in sizes seven and eight, whilst the black and gold pair currently only have size twos available due to how popular they are.

Emmerdale confirms new accomplice for John as he gets rid of Robert

John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) spies an opportunity in Emmerdale soon as he grows desperate to get rid of Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). A few days ago, John visited Robert in prison. He was feeling insecure about his relationship with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) after discovering his partner was planning on visiting his ex. John believed he had the ability to scare Robert away, but he did not count on the Sugden practically seeing right through him. Robert called John the 'unwanted rut' of the family and believed he was incredibly odd. Watching John shake with rage, Robert concluded that he was going to do his upmost to get Aaron away from his new partner. In upcoming episodes, Robert is causing problems after giving his sister a black eye. He attempts to readjust to life outside of prison by getting a trial at Caleb's (William Ash) depot, but he's pressured by John to end the employment. Robert is disappointed and when he finds out that John interfered, he confronts him outside. The two brothers argue, and John is left even more determined to get rid of Robert after seeing Victoria's black eye. In an attempt to make Aaron jealous, Robert goes on a date later in the week, but he becomes even more troubled when he realises his ex isn't bothered about his hook-up at all. On his own at The Hide, Robert fails to spot his date drugging his drink. While Robert doesn't realise what's going on, John does, and he works out that this is the perfect opportunity to get rid. The sought-after Wonka Everlasting Gobstoppers, dubbed Heartbreakers, are no longer in stock across stores in the UK. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Everlasting Gobstoppers Heartbreakers scanned at tills for £3.50 (340g) Credit: Toffee World The white, pink, and red heart-shaped treats changed in colour and flavour with each layer, making them a hit among sweet lovers. Originally imported from the US, these 340g 80s sweets scanned at tills for £3.50. However, some shoppers are only now discovering that the popular sweet treat has been discontinued. One user took to Reddit, writing: "I just learned this has been discontinued, correct me if I'm wrong. ps what's a good replacement?" The post attracted several comments from disappointed shoppers who were also unaware that the popular treat had been axed. This shopper wrote: "I was obsessed with these like 4 years ago. Why would they discontinue them?" "The spree hearts were my favourite ever," added another. A third said: "I keep hoping they'll bring them back." "I just found out the bad news too! I'm devastated," a fourth added. It comes after M&S confirmed it had axed a beloved snack - particularly popular with a pint. 6 ways to get the biggest bargains in B&M It came after a disgruntled shopper took to social media to inquire about its whereabouts. They said on X: "@Marksandspencer have you stopped selling the Sweet Chilli Combo Mix snack? "Been to several stores today and no sign of them. Please say they've not been discontinued!!" The Sweet Chilli Combo Mix was a selection of crispy potato and corn snacks - which came in the shape of tubes, wheels and flat crisps. Fans deemed them the perfect sweet and spicy morsel to enjoy alongside a cold drink. But their worst fears were confirmed when M&S employee Simon weighed in on the thread. He said: "It looks like we have discontinued this flavour, sorry about that." It follows Nestle confirming they pulled a new type of Rowntree's sweets just one year after launch. And B&M fans are in a frenzy after spying retro sweets back on shelves.

EastEnders hints at romance for George with Walford local - and it's not Cindy

George Knight (Colin Salmon) makes a new ally in EastEnders next week – could he already be moving on from wife Elaine (Harriet Thorpe)? Earlier this month, she was left furious after discovering her husband spent Christmas evening in the company of his ex-wife Sabrina. Her fury was intensified when he revealed that she'd tried to kiss him, and even more so when he turned to his other ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), for a shoulder to cry on. Elaine contacted old mate Drew Peacock (Paul Clayton) for a pep talk. Having taken his words to heart, she decided to sleep with a man she'd just met named Stephen. Guilt-ridden, she couldn't keep quiet any longer and came clean to George. His attempts at making amends and apologising fell flat, as she wasn't willing to take half of the blame. Since then, Elaine has hit self destruct mode, allowing daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) to run the pub single-handedly and splashing the cash on bottomless prosecco for her mates. To make matters worse, she handed over 5k to Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) to go on a singles cruise. In upcoming scenes, Linda is dismayed when Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) asks if she can host fiancé Patrick Trueman's (Rudolph Walker) 85th birthday party in the pub. She wonders whether she can manage, but Elaine ultimately overrules her doubts. With Linda left to hold the fort again, George can see she's struggling and jumps behind the bar to help out. Elaine is furious to see him getting into the swing of things and lashes out, therefore ruining any chance of them ever being civil again. Little does she realise, he's about to fight back.
