Kalyan Jewellers enters quick commerce with Instamart

Jewellery retailer Kalyan Jewellers has partnered with Instamart for its entry into the quick commerce segment ahead of Akshay Tritiya festival.
With this partnership, Instamart will sell certified gold and silver coins through its platform offering doorstep delivery in minutes across 100 cities including top metros.
The exclusive range includes gold coins in 0.5g and 1g featuring motifs like Ayodhya, Lord Ganesh, Swastik and Goddess Lakshmi.
Commenting on the partnership, Amitesh Jha, CEO of Instamart in a statement said, 'We're excited to welcome Kalyan Jewellers to our platform ahead of Akshaya Tritiya. With more customers embracing the convenience of quick commerce for festive and traditional purchases, this partnership is both timely and relevant.'
Ramesh Kalyanaraman, executive director at Kalyan Jewellers added, 'Through our collaboration with Swiggy's Quick Commerce platform, Instamart, we are making it easier than ever to buy Kalyan gold and silver coins. This partnership allows us to integrate the auspiciousness of tradition with the ease and speed of modern living, ensuring the spirit of the festival remains.'

Amazon enters quick commerce with ‘Amazon Now' pilot in Bengaluru

E-commerce major Amazon India has entered the quick commerce segment in India with the launch of its 'Amazon Now' service in Bengaluru. The service will be available to customers through a dedicated section on the Amazon app which currently operates in three Bengaluru pin codes offering deliveries within 10 minutes. 'We are running our 10-minute delivery service Amazon Now in select pin codes in Bangalore and are super excited with the initial customer response and positive feedback, especially from Prime members,' an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement. 'Through Amazon Now, we're offering a curated selection of everyday essentials delivered within 10 minutes, addressing immediate customer needs while maintaining Amazon's standards for quality and reliability. We will expand the service over the next few months,' the spokesperson added. With its entry into quick commerce, Amazon will compete with some of the established players in the segment which includes Eternal-owned Blinkit, Swiggy's Instamart, Zepto, and Tata Digital-backed Bigbasket. Amazon's rival Flipkart is also piloting its own quick commerce platform, Flipkart Minutes.

Kalyan Jewellers Q4 net profit rises 36 percent to Rs 187 crore

Thrissur-based Kalyan Jewellers Ltd reported a 36 percent rise in net profit to Rs 187 crore ($22 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 137 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company's revenue for the quarter rose by 37 percent to Rs 6,182 crore, as against Rs 5350 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. For the financial year 2025, Kalyan reported a consolidated revenue of Rs 25,045 crore while profit after tax stood at Rs 714 crore. Commenting on the results, Ramesh Kalyanaraman, executive director at Kalyan Jewellers in a statement said, 'We had an excellent start to the current financial year despite continuing volatility in gold prices carrying forward the momentum in business from the previous financial year. We witnessed robust growth in our Akshaya Tritiya sale this year and we continue to see encouraging momentum in consumer demand, especially around the wedding purchases during the current quarter.' Kalyan Jewellers ended the financial year with a total of 388 showrooms across India and the Middle East as of March 31, 2025.
