Glenn Close Joins "Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping"
Yara Sameh
Glenn Close and Billy Porter have joined the cast of 'Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.'
Close will play Drusilla Sickle, the cruel escort to the District 12 Tributes, while Porter will portray Magno Stift, her estranged husband and designer to the Tributes.
They join the previously announced ensemble of Joseph Zada as Haymitch Abernathy, Whitney Peak, Mckenna Grace, Jesse Plemons, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili Taylor, Ben Wang, Ralph Fiennes, Elle Fanning and Kieran Culkin.
Based on Suzanne Collins' novel of the same name, 'Sunrise on the Reaping' will revisit the world of Panem nearly a quarter of a century before the events of the original 'Hunger Games' saga.
It starts on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, known as the Second Quarter Quell, in which Haymitch Abernathy enters the deadly arena. In 2012's 'Hunger Games,' Haymitch serves as a mentor to Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen and Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellark.
Close, an eight-time Oscar nominee for 'Fatal Attraction,' 'Dangerous Liaisons,' and 'The Big Chill,' will appear next in Rian Johnson's next 'Knives Out' sequel,' Wake Up Dead Man.'
'Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping' will open in theaters on November 20, 2026.

Cardi B Drops Single "Outside" Just in Time for Summer: Stream
Yara Sameh Cardi B has returned on Friday with a brand thumping new song, 'Outside,' as she's ready to take over the summer. The Bronx bombshell announced plans for the song on Tuesday. 'We OUTSIDE this Friday,' she wrote on Instagram, which sent her fans into a frenzy. She also shared a block party-themed cover art filled with a flowing fire hydrant and party remnants such as red Solo cups and dominoes. Cardi has teased snippets of the single on social media in the past months and the positive reception has finally led to a full release. "I've been cuffed up too long, let me remind n—as. Your favorite player on your favorite team, he in my DM," she raps about ending her relationship with estranged husband Offset from whom she filed for divorce for a second time in July 2024. Cardi has laid low on the music front for much of 2025, with appearances on the Smurfs Movie soundtrack and joining Pardison Fontaine for 'Toot It Up'. 'Outside' marks Cardi's first solo single of 2025 and her first single since 'Enough' in 2024. The 32-year-old musician has kept busy throughout 2025 with appearances at the Met Gala and the start of a new chapter with NFL star Stefon Diggs. Cardi went public with her relationship in May when she was spotted courtside at a New York Knicks playoff game with Diggs. She has also been in mom mode, taking care of her three children. The singer posted the first official photos of her baby Blossom on Instagram earlier this week, which saw Cardi having a fun pool day at home with the kids.
