This weekend, Fanatics is holding its "Fanatic Fest" in New York City. There are countless notable names in attendance, including Harris and Daniels. In the midst of the festivities, Harris managed to send the crowd into a frenzy with a sizable purchase. He stepped up and bought a rare one-of-one card of Daniels for half a million dollars. Per Fanatics, it is the largest sale of any card of his to date.

Harris was the leader of the investment group that purchased the Commanders from Dan Snyder back in 2023 for over six billion dollars. This added to his portfolio in the sports world, as he also holds ownership stakes in the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) and New Jersey Devils (NHL). Seeing that the Commanders were just one win away from being in the Super Bowl last year, purchasing the franchise has served to be a good investment.

Daniels already had lofty expectations to meet heading into this season, and the stakes have only gotten higher. After paying a massive amount for the card, Harris will want to see the value increase due to continued strong play.

The front office did its part in trying to prevent him from taking a step back, adding multiple new weapons around him.

Only details of the contract were negotiable. Per the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, rookie contract values are predetermined based on draft slot. As the No. 2 pick in April's NFL Draft, Hunter is due $46.65 that is fully guaranteed over four years. The Jaguars will have a fifth-year option. Advertisement Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Hunter will receive his entire $30.57 million signing bonus up front. According to the report, Hunter is the first non-quarterback who wasn't drafted first overall to negotiate payment of his entire signing bonus at the front of his contract. (AP) — Two-way college star and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, the second overall pick in April's NFL draft, signed a four-year, $46.6 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The deal includes a $30.5 million signing bonus. Advertisement Hunter had been one of three unsigned first-round picks, including Cincinnati edge rusher Shemar Stewart (17th overall) and Denver cornerback Jahdae Barron (20th). Under the NFL's slotting system, Hunter is expected to get $840,000 in base salary as a rookie, with his contract rising to $2.96 million in Year 2, $5.08 million in his third season and $7.20 million in his fourth. Like all first-round draft picks, Hunter's deal includes a club option for a fifth year. The Jaguars traded up three spots to select the former Colorado standout in the draft and are counting on him to help change the fate of the floundering franchise.
