Jason Isaacs Says ‘White Lotus' Equal Pay Earned Each Actor $40,000 an Episode: ‘Do I Mind That I Wasn't Paid More Than' Younger Co-Stars? ‘I Never Work for Money'
Jason Isaacs confirmed in a new interview with Vulture that every cast member on 'The White Lotus' Season 3 made $40,000 an episode, bringing their total pay for the series to around $320,000 each. Isaacs noted that sum is actually 'a very low price' for such a hugely successful television series.
'I didn't know that was public knowledge. That's absolutely true,' Isaacs said. 'Generally actors don't talk about pay in public because it's ridiculously disproportionate to what we do — putting on makeup and funny voices — and just upsets the public. But compared to what people normally get paid for big television shows, that's a very low price. But the fact is, we would have paid to be in it. We probably would have given a body part.'

'The White Lotus' cast being paid equally meant that acting veterans such as Isaacs and Parker Posey made the same as relative newcomers to the industry like Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola. Isaacs politely scoffed when asked if he thought that was fair or not.
'Do I mind that I wasn't paid more than other people? I never work for money,' Isaacs said. 'I've done all right. People will think I have huge stockpiles of money but sadly, what I've done rather immaturely is expand my outgoings to match my incomings and pretty much spent everything I've earned over the years.'
Isaacs also used 'The White Lotus' set to impart wisdom on his younger co-stars, mainly how they can't 'over-invest' in the final product because it's completely out of their control. That's for creator Mike White to worry about more than his actors. Isaacs learned that lesson the hard way after playing Captain Hook in 2003's notorious misfire 'Peter Pan.'
'It was a big expensive production with multiple studios. We filmed for 14 months. … The film tanked,' Isaacs said. 'I think it's a masterpiece, but people looked at the poster and went, 'Oh, fuck it. I've seen 'Hook' with Robin Williams, and I've seen the cartoon. Why do I need to see another one?' It was a catastrophe professionally for me, a huge fall from grace. I couldn't get a walk-on role. And I changed my agent and I almost changed my job, frankly, because I didn't think I'd work again. The lowest I've ever been was after 'Peter Pan.' I was really in despair but not as bad as I would have been had I believed any of the bullshit that had been whispered in my ear. I didn't over-invest in the results of it, which is something I tried to counsel the young actors on 'The White Lotus' not to do.'

With Earth's ecosystem now largely uninhabitable for dinosaurs, the few that remain have retreated to isolated regions. Among them are three dinosaurs whose genetic material could be the key to developing a life-saving drug. Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, an operative recruited by a pharmaceutical company to lead a high-stakes mission. She is joined by paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, played by Jonathan Bailey, and team leader Duncan Kincaid, portrayed by Mahershala Ali. In response, the Defense Intelligence Agency ordered a pause of all activities and events related to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Black History Month, Juneteenth, LGBTQ Pride Month, Holocaust Remembrance Day and other 'special observances' to comply with the anti-DEI direction, NBC News reported. 'So [Trump] wants celebrating Juneteenth to be controversial now,' Colbert said. But, he said, 'You cannot stop people from celebrating freedom. You can't make them turn down their joy,' before playing a clip of DJ Snake and Lil John's 'Turn Down for What.' On Thursday, Trump posted a complaint on Truth Social about there being 'Too many non-working holidays in America.' 'Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. The workers don't want it either!' Trump wrote. 'Soon we'll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!' At a White House press briefing Thursday, press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked if Trump was commemorating Juneteenth in any way. 'I'm not tracking his signature on a proclamation today,' Leavitt said. 'I know this is a federal holiday. I want to thank all of you for showing up to work. We are certainly here. We're working 24-7 right now.' President Biden in 2021 signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law, establishing a federal holiday on the date. The holiday commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union Army General Gordon Granger proclaimed freedom from slavery in the state of Texas, nearly two years after Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Fat Joe Sued For $20M By Ex-Hypeman, Claims Rapper Had Sex With Minors
Source: Al Bello / Getty Fat Joe is being sued for $20 million by his former hypeman, who has lobbed a litany of sordid claims against the Bronx rapper. The lawsuitalleges that Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena, participated in sex acts with several minors in their teens, amongst other wild claims. As initially reported by Variety , Terrance 'T.A.' Dixon filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York against the 'Lean Back: rapper on Thursday, June 19. Dixon was reportedly Joe's hypeman for over 15 years, giving him front row view of the illicit behavior he described in his 157-page lawsuit. It's worth noting that Dixon's lawyer is Tyrone Blackburn, the same man who is representing Lil Rodney in his lawsuit againt Sean 'Diddy' Combs, which also includes some explosive charges against the disgraced mogul. However, Blackburn has developed a rep for representing clients with over-the-top claims that aren't necessarily credible. But Dixon claims that over the years Fat Joe coerced him in over 4.000 sexuals acts to keep him in good 'standing within the Enterprise. According to Dixon he was pressured 'into humiliating situations, including sex acts performed under duress and surveillance, accompanied by threats of abandonment in foreign countries if [he] refused compliance.' The most egregious claim in the lawsuit is its detailing of Fat Joe allegedly participating sex acts with three Jane Does—one 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds. Also included in the RICO-claiming lawsuit are longtime Fat Joe associates. Pete 'Pistol Pete' Torres and Richard 'Rich Player' Jospitre, as well as Roc Nation. Dixon's lawsuit arrives after he and Blackburn were sued by Fat Joe back in April for slander after alleging on social media that the rapper flew a 16-year-old girl across state lines to engage in sexual intercourse. Joe maintains that Dixon and Blackburn are basically trying to extort him, allegedly. Fat Joe is being represented by Joe Tacopina, a criminal attorney who has become famed in Hip-Hop circles after representing A$AP Rocky, who acquitted of gun charges and who past clients include Meek Mill, and Donald Trump. In reponse to the lawsuit against Fat Joe, Tacopino told Variety , 'The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation — a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the civil suit we filed first, which exposed their coordinated scheme to extort Mr. Cartagena through lies, threats, and manufactured allegations.' Needless to say, the social media peanut gallery has been going off since news of the lawsuit broke. This story is developing.
