Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner's relationship has intrigued fans and haters alike online ever since they started dating. Neither star is outspoken about their relationship, but they aren't exactly hiding it, either. Maybe they're not posting lovey-dovey Instagrams, talking about each other in interviews, or posing on the red carpet together, but they are attending awards shows, sporting events, and music festivals together.
Now, though, there is a teeny bit of insight into their relationship from a surprising person in a surprising place: Chalamet's mom in an interview about her real estate career.
The Dune star's mother, Nicole Flender, was profiled by Curbed in relation to her work as a real estate agent in New York City. Like her son and her daughter, actor Pauline Chalamet, Flender also works in the arts. She's been a dance teacher and worked with the theater union Actors' Equity. She still substitute teaches and occasionally acts today. She talks about all of this in the interview, and the conversation touches on Chalamet's relationship with Jenner when his own home purchase was brought up: an $11 million house in Beverly Hills.
"Did he ask for my advice? No," Flender told Curbed. "He said, 'Guess what? I bought a house.'"
Since Beverly Hills is pretty close to where Jenner lives, the Kardashians star got a mention, too. "I have to say she's lovely,' Flender said of her son's girlfriend. 'She's very nice to me."
Recently, Flender and Jenner were both Chalamet's guests at the Academy Awards where he was nominated for Best Actor for A Complete Unknown. Chalamet and his mom arrived to the event together, and Jenner joined them once they were inside the theater.
Flender looks forward to visiting Chalamet (and, presumably, Jenner) on the west coast, but has no interest in moving to be closer to either of her children. (Pauline lives in Paris.) "Would you like your mom to be trailing you everywhere?' she said. 'I like being able to go visit them.'

Young Thug Returns to the Stage With Triumphant Summer Smash Performance
Atlanta's exiled rap king has returned to the live stage. Young Thug, who spent more than two years behind bars before pleading guilty to racketeering and other charges, was Sunday's headliner at Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX's 2025 Summer Smash, following headlining sets from fellow ATL legend Future on Saturday and a duet set from Yeat and Don Toliver on Friday night. The sweltering heat at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois, just outside Chicago, set the tone for Thug's blazing spectacle, his first show since his 2022 arrest. Donning Joker makeup, he brought a revitalized version of himself to the tens of thousands of fans in attendance. Ten minutes past the slated 9:30 start time, fans were treated to a dramatic video package of Young Thug practically apologizing to his fans for being away for so long. As it concluded, the light shined on a man with an eerie-looking mask on his face atop a tower across from the stage. This was merely a distraction from Thug himself, standing in the middle of a giant circular structure connected to a large, flame-throwing ramp. More from Rolling Stone Our Favorite Afropop Songs and Albums of 2025 So Far Excitement Turns to Terror in New Trailer for Astroworld Tragedy Doc Young Thug Breaks Silence: 'I'm Too Big for Jail' Thug's grand performance at Summer Smash was years in the making, as he and Gunna were initially booked as headliners for the 2022 edition. Unfortunately in the months leading up, both of them were arrested. Berto Solorio, Summer Smash president and co-founder and CEO of SPKRBX, has long been a huge fan of YSL Records' music. Naturally, Young Thug was a sought-after target to bring to Chicago, even before his initial booking in 2022. 'I think we always had him as one of our targets leading up to the 2022 booking, 2019, 2021,' Solorio says. 'Obviously the coin kind of landed in different places every year with availability or if we weren't able to come to a deal, but I think when we got him in 2022 that was going to be his first time performing at Summer Smash and as a headliner as opposed to being a part of the undercard.' Jake Milan, Summer Smash talent buyer and executive producer of Lyrical Lemonade, says that whenever they book artists, they're always shooting to create moments that are either first time moments or created so unique that they can't be replicated. Thug's performance felt like a true welcome-home party, from the stage design and Thug's elaborate, yet haunting introduction, to three generations of Atlanta and Southern rappers and collaborators onstage to Thug's stage diving. It's the reason why the arrest was such a blow for both SPKRBX and Lyrical Lemonade. 'When we had that opportunity to do Thug and Gunna together, it was something we were all so excited about and being able to have those two share the stage for the first time ever when they were doing insane music together,' Milan says. 'Them getting arrested about a month before the fest and having to pivot from that was devastating for our whole team.' Thug was sure he made the night special for the fans who came from Chicago, Atlanta, and other points both domestic and abroad. He brought out Travis Scott to perform his verse on 'Hot (Remix)' followed by everyone's favorite song: 'Fein.' Then Thug gave us a shocking surprise by bringing out T.I., who performed 'About the Money,' the 2014 collaboration that helped solidify Young Thug as a superstar. London on the Track joined him for 'Lifestyle,' while Ken Carson came out to premiere a new song from Thug's forthcoming UY Scuti. To Chicago's G Herbo, who worked with Young Thug on 2022's emotionally gripping 'Breathe Slow' and also performed on Sunday, Thug's appearance meant the world to Chicago and beyond. 'It means everything for Slime to just — his presence is everything, bro. Being incarcerated at that time and the world missing him, his fans missing him, his peers, his brothers, guys like me, I missed him when he was gone,' Herbo says. 'Just his presence alone is priceless.' Returning performers Homixide Gang, one of the hottest rap groups from Atlanta via Playboi Carti's Opium Records, grew up on Young Thug's music. In their eyes, his music influenced an entire generation of artists and creatives. 'He means a lot to our generation, that's what we came up on,' said Homixide Bino. 'He impacted Atlanta and more than just Atlanta. Style-wise, the way niggas rap, slang, all that. Don't nobody want to see nobody locked up,' said Homixide Meechie. The tens of thousands of fans in attendance would certainly agree as they would loudly sing hits like 'Slatty,' 'Lifestyle,' 'Killed Before,' and even his charismatic verse from Drake's 'Way Too Sexy.' Classics like 'Check' and 'Danny Glover' were excluded, which proved a bit disappointing. Still, the superstar delivered a strong show that sent a message: Thugga is finally home for good. For all the highs that Young Thug's performance delivered, there comes one somber realization. When you hear him perform monumental collaborations, 'Hot (Remix)' and 'Ski', there is a strong likelihood that fans may never hear those songs performed with him and Gunna sharing the same stage ever again. If there's anything else to take away from his historic performance, it's that Young Thug is back and he's here to stay, even if the YSL his day-one fans loved and appreciated will never be the same again. Assyrian swimmers: 2,900-year-old carving of soldiers using 'floaties' to cross a river
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Name: Assyrian Swimmers What it is: A relief scene carved in gypsum Where it is from: The Royal Palace of Nimrud (near modern-day Mosul, Iraq) When it was made: Between 865 and 860 B.C. Related: Tarkhan Dress: World's oldest known outfit was worn to an ancient Egyptian funeral 5,000 years ago What it tells us about the past: This carved relief from Nimrud, a major city of the ancient Assyrian Empire in present-day Iraq, regularly drifts around the internet as purported evidence for scuba diving nearly 3,000 years ago. But the wall panel actually depicts an army crossing a river, and soldiers are navigating the waves with the help of ancient flotation devices. The gypsum panel is one of several excavated in the 1840s from the Northwest Palace, which was built on the Tigris River around 865 B.C. on the orders of King Ashurnasirpal II. Originally located around the interior walls of the throne room and royal apartments, the carved panels depict the king leading a military campaign, engaging in rituals and hunting animals. This panel fragment, which is in the collection of The British Museum, shows several men and horses crossing a river. The horses are swimming, pulled on leads by cavalry soldiers. One soldier is free-swimming, one is rowing a small boat, and two are using goat-skin bags that the soldiers are inflating to stay afloat. A cuneiform inscription running across the top of the panel traces the king's lineage and describes his key accomplishments. The two-dimensionality of the perspective — in which the figures appear complete and not half-submerged — is typical in Assyrian art, according to The British Museum. MORE ASTONISHING ARTIFACTS —Sun Chariot: An ornate Bronze Age treasure that may have featured in an ancient Nordic religious ceremony —Prosciutto di Portici: A portable sundial that looks like a pork leg — and it was likely owned by Julius Caesar's father-in-law before Mount Vesuvius erupted —Ram in the Thicket: A 4,500-year-old gold statue from the royal cemetery at Ur Animal skin or bladder floats appear several times in the Nimrud wall panels, and they were likely made from goats or pigs. The floats were used to help keep a soldier's weapons dry and to allow an army to sneak up on an enemy. Ashurnasirpal II was known for his military prowess as well as his brutality, and his innovative tactics — including the goat-skin floats — helped him expand his empire considerably in the ninth century B.C. While it's interesting to ponder how much of the world the Assyrian army might have conquered if they'd had scuba gear, the humble goat skin still represents a key invention that helped them maintain power in Mesopotamia for centuries, until the empire fell around 600 B.C.

A new NYT Connections puzzle appears at midnight each day for your time zone – which means that some people are always playing 'today's game' while others are playing 'yesterday's'. If you're looking for Saturday's puzzle instead then click here: NYT Connections hints and answers for Saturday, June 21 (game #741). Good morning! Let's play Connections, the NYT's clever word game that challenges you to group answers in various categories. It can be tough, so read on if you need Connections hints. What should you do once you've finished? Why, play some more word games of course. I've also got daily Strands hints and answers and Quordle hints and answers articles if you need help for those too, while Marc's Wordle today page covers the original viral word game. SPOILER WARNING: Information about NYT Connections today is below, so don't read on if you don't want to know the answers. Today's NYT Connections words are… PORT PURSUIT PROGRESSIVE SUCCESSION HAPPINESS DEPARTED FLASH LIBERTY WIRE EUPHORIA REMAINING ENTOURAGE INSECURE BULLETIN LIFE REPORT What are some clues for today's NYT Connections groups? YELLOW: Breaking! GREEN: We hold these truths to be self-evident BLUE: Box-set staples PURPLE: Not right Need more clues? We're firmly in spoiler territory now, but read on if you want to know what the four theme answers are for today's NYT Connections puzzles… What are the answers for today's NYT Connections groups? YELLOW: NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT GREEN: NOUNS FROM A FAMOUS LINE IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE BLUE: HBO SHOWS PURPLE: WHAT 'LEFT' MIGHT MEAN Right, the answers are below, so DO NOT SCROLL ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM. The answers to today's Connections, game #742, are… YELLOW: NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT BULLETIN, FLASH, REPORT, WIRE GREEN: NOUNS FROM A FAMOUS LINE IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE HAPPINESS, LIBERTY, LIFE, PURSUIT BLUE: HBO SHOWS ENTOURAGE, EUPHORIA, INSECURE, SUCCESSION PURPLE: WHAT 'LEFT' MIGHT MEAN DEPARTED, PORT, PROGRESSIVE, REMAINING My rating: Moderate My score: 1 mistake My first thought on seeing the word board today was that surely ENTOURAGE, EUPHORIA and SUCCESSION went together as examples of glossy US TV shows. But what to add to them? The WIRE, maybe, but it was missing the definitive at the start, so seemed unlikely. Was there a show called DEPARTED maybe – or was that The Departed? Or it could be LIFE, as that's definitely a TV show – but a British one. In the end I got cold feet on that and looked elsewhere, spotting that LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS were all NOUNS FROM A FAMOUS LINE IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. That gave me an easy green, so I decided to next search for the supposedly easier still yellow. Yellow groups are almost always just straight groups of words with no subterfuge or misdirection, so I looked at the board with a clear mind and spotted FLASH, REPORT, WIRE and BULLETIN as examples of a NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT. With one more needed I looked again at the TV shows one, now shorn of LIFE and WIRE, and played those three with DEPARTED. That gave me 'one away', but I added INSECURE as another possible and got it right. Turns out they were all HBO shows. That just left purple and WHAT 'LEFT' MIGHT MEAN, a nice oblique group with DEPARTED, PORT, PROGRESSIVE and REMAINING. How did you do today? Let me know in the comments below. YELLOW: STOCKY SOLID, SQUAT, STOUT, THICK GREEN: COMPANY CONCERN, FIRM, HOUSE, OUTFIT BLUE: APPLE PRODUCTS BRANDY, BUTTER, CIDER, SAUCE PURPLE: STARTS OF EUROPEAN COUNTRIES GERM, LUXE, MALT, PORT NYT Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games made by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four items that share something in common, and each group has a different difficulty level: green is easy, yellow a little harder, blue often quite tough and purple usually very difficult. On the plus side, you don't technically need to solve the final one, as you'll be able to answer that one by a process of elimination. What's more, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you a little bit of breathing room. It's a little more involved than something like Wordle, however, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to trip you up with tricks. For instance, watch out for homophones and other word games that could disguise the answers. It's playable for free via the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
