Footballer, 35, dies after suffering cardiac arrest on pitch just hours after sharing deep message about ‘soul and life'
A FOOTBALLER has died after collapsing on the pitch following a reported cardiac arrest - having shared a poignant message just hours earlier.
Enzo Pittau, 35, the dad of a new baby girl, lost his footing several times before his collapse 41 minutes into a cup game.

Pittau was playing for Don Orione away to Club Union in Argentina's Chaco federation tournament.
Witnesses say there was "chaos...screaming... and crying" as those nearby saw his fall and realised how serious the situation was.

The Chaco League star had played for numerous clubs in the area, also enjoying spells in Italy, Switzerland and Spain.

Football in the area, north of Argentina capital Buenos Aires, is in mourning and shock following his death.
A few hours before the match Pittau posted a touching message and photo on social media.
He wrote: "The faith and God in between. Today we play with soul and life."
Alongside those words was a picture of his football top and shin guards - which had photos of his new daughter.

Pittau's club said: "With deep pain, we communicate the death of Enzo Pittau. We are shocked and affected by this loss.
"We appreciate your solidarity and understanding in this difficult time for our club and Enzo Pittau's family."
We were all in shock, the players and us in the stands. The match was stopped for a while and then suspended.
Witness
A witness told Diario Chaco via
"I can still see it, and it's very painful.
"Everything turned into chaos. People were running, screaming, crying, and yelling for help.
"From the stands, we didn't really know what had happened, but it was awful."
Another witness said: "I have this image of Pittau falling alone. I can't get it out of my head.
"We're dismayed by what happened.
"It hurts quite a bit. We were all in shock, the players and us in the stands. The match was stopped for a while and then suspended."
Local media say Pittau had returned to Chaco to be near his family after his grandfather had health problems.
Sunday's tragic match was the return leg in the second phase of the Argentinian Federativo tournament's second phase.

The team has already broken the £500,000 fundraising barrier, and now has its sights set on raising as much money as possible for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. Andres added: 'Kenny, Ally McCoist, Gabby Logan and the team cycling across Ireland to raise awareness for MND, and delivering the match ball here in Dublin, is a powerful gesture. 'It puts a spotlight on something that desperately needs attention while raising significant, needed, funds for research through My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. 'But it also shows the gap. Public figures showing their support gives people a way to connect with the disease. 'They bring it into the light. 'Here in Ireland, we need someone to drive the issue forward.' Andres revealed he first noticed a cramp in his hand while cycling in Majorca and this led to his diagnosis. He explained: 'Five years ago I'd have been right there on the road with them. ' The Argentinian is currently waiting for a hospice bed to provide some respite care. Before his diagnosis, he was a runner, cyclist, and, by his own admission, 'a talker'. MND has weakened his voice significantly, but he remains incredibly positive and determined to help others. He said: 'Awareness leads to dignity, funding, and change – from better access to public spaces to improved services and faster diagnosis, because otherwise, you lose time. '20 years later, it's incredible' - Contepomi revels in iconic Argentina victory over Lions
THE IMMEDIATE WAVE of emotion that pervaded Felipe Contepomi's Argentina players as the ball was hoofed into the East Stand of the Aviva Stadium told its own story. All 23 Pumas knew they had become legends in their nation's proud rugby lore, pulling off a win over the Lions that was 115 years in the making. The sides who had hosted primitive iterations of the Lions in 1910, 1927 and 1936 had been trounced on their own soil. The seventh meeting between the teams in 2005 had ended contentiously in a 25-25 draw, with Jonny Wilkinson slotting a last-gasp penalty after eight and a half minutes of stoppage time to break Argentinian hearts. But 20 years later, a 17-point underdog Puma outfit coached so superbly by Felipe Contepomi — who himself featured in that Cardiff warm-up, the only previous home Lions fixture — had sealed a generational victory. Contepomi, who spent so much of his adult life in Dublin and, as a consequence, understands exactly the significance of Lions rugby to players in Ireland and Britain, said that to recognise that very significance was key to Argentina's victory. 'It's special because sometimes you need to understand what motivates the other team, to understand how special it is,' he said. 'For me, that's being humble: understanding what motivates the other team and I know how special it is for an Irish, Scottish, Welsh or English player to be a Lion. And for us to play against the best of the best in these islands, it's nearly a dream. 'And I wouldn't say even having a win because we could have lost that game. We won it, putting in that performance after two days. For me, I take my hat off to the boys.
