'I tried adult toys from a woman-centred brand and they're incredible'
When shopping writer Lauren Codling came across Smile Makers Collection - a brand that champions female pleasure and is known for its colourful, approachable lineup of toys - she knew it was time to explore further

Ever since I purchased my first glittery toy from Ann Summers at 18, I've been a strong advocate for sexual wellness. What began as a curiosity has evolved into something far more empowering, and I now view self-pleasure not just as fun but also as a form of self-care.
When I discovered Smile Makers Collection - a brand that promotes female pleasure and is renowned for its colourful, approachable range of toys - I knew it was time to delve deeper. The playful packaging and inclusive messaging had caught my attention for some time, and it seemed like the ideal moment to enhance my toy collection, reports the Mirror.

I was matched with The Poet (£79.95), a toy that, coincidentally, a friend had already praised. I also added The Tennis Pro (£49.95), a sleek vibrator, a bottle of toy cleaner, and a lubricant to my basket - essentials for anyone assembling a thoughtful kit.
The toys arrived in vibrant packaging, perfectly complementing the aesthetic of each toy. They feel soft to the touch, thanks to the body-safe silicone, and I could tell they were high-quality products. The only downside was that both needed to be charged before use.
Once powered up, I reached for The Poet first. It comes with three interchangeable 'mouths' to fit your body properly - something I've never seen from other toys. It also has five pulsation modes. Each one delivered beautifully.
There are also squeeze sensors that adjust the intensity, which sounds ingenious, but I found them tricky to use - especially when trying to maintain a good angle. I find Lelo's Sonic 2 massager easier to use, although it's more expensive at £129.
Lauren tried two toys (The Poet and The Tennis Pro), as well as a toy wash and lubricant

As for the results? Let's just say my friend wasn't exaggerating. The Poet is genuinely one of the best toys I've ever tried. However, while it's marketed as 'whisper-quiet', it's more chatty than silent when not pressed against the skin - something to bear in mind if you're sharing walls.
Then, it was time to explore The Tennis Pro. With its rounded, angled head, it's designed to target all the right areas - saving me the cost (and clutter) of buying two more toys. If you'd prefer to introduce an external toy, though, I highly recommend Love Not War's Koi Wand (£59.99) - it's been a reliable favourite for a couple of years now and never lets me down.
The Tennis Pro boasts four speeds and pulsation patterns. It's potent, offering a delightful deep rumble rather than a light tickle, and the variety of speeds makes it an exciting toy to explore.

It's a fantastic gadget for solo sessions but also a welcome addition to partnered play. Unlike The Poet, The Tennis Pro is quiet, which means no uncomfortable morning after discussions with my flatmate about strange sounds. A combination of discretion and pleasure is always a winning formula.
So, if you're on the hunt for toys that feel contemporary, body-positive and thoughtfully designed, Smile Makers deserves your consideration - whether you're a novice or a seasoned pro. I'll certainly be returning for more.

Princess Andre discusses breakup ahead of 18th birthday

EXCLUSIVE: As she prepares to turn 18, Princess Andre opens up on her split from her boyfriend and her plans for the future. Princess Andre is on the brink of turning 18, but she has no intentions of being snapped staggering out of nightclubs. The striking young star, gearing up to celebrate her landmark birthday with a fresh photo shoot for Sunday Mirror's Notebook magazine, has declared she fancies quiet nights in over raucous revelry. "I'm not really a big drinker or a big party-goer, but it'll be nice to be able to go to pubs and stuff with my friends," she says. To the delight of her mindful father, singer Peter Andre, she also insists, "I'm not the sort of person who'd embarrass myself. I'll never put myself in a position that would make me look bad." ‌ ‌ But this doesn't mean that Princess, known for her social media presence, won't mark the occasion with a bit of fanfare. Pete, along with his doctor spouse Emily, intends to surprise her with a party, in addition to her recent splurge on a premium Audi following her driving test success last month. Reflecting on her inaugural drive with her dad, the 'Mysterious Girl' icon, Princess shares how Pete finds it tough seeing her all grown up. "He's so proud and so supportive, but I think it's hard to see your kid get older," she shares. Describing their first journey together in her new car, she recounts, "He was the first person I took for a drive in the new car. We were listening to music and suddenly I heard him sobbing. 'I was like, 'Are you OK?' And he admitted it was weird for him to see me grow up", reports the Mirror. Despite her tender age, Princess demonstrates remarkable maturity when discussing her recent breakup with her boyfriend. "I'm feeling good. I've always kept my personal life personal, so I don't talk too much about it, but now is the time to focus on me," the up-and-coming singer shared. "I want to get my career to exactly where I want it." ‌ With an admirable following of 1.5 million on Instagram and TikTok, Princess is quickly becoming a known figure in the entertainment industry. As the progeny of two British reality TV and popular culture legends, Peter Andre and Katie Price, it seemed almost fated that Princess would have a career in the limelight. Having been in the public eye from a young age with appearances on "Katie and Peter: The Next Chapter" through to her recent deals in modelling and branding, Princess is no stranger to fame. ‌ Successful collaborations with high-profile brands like Superdrug and PrettyLittleThing and creating her own line of jewellery are just some of her accomplishments. According to The Sun, she's set to star in her own ITV show as a celebration of her 18th birthday. This show reportedly offers fans an insight into her personal life and nascent modelling endeavours. ‌ It is suggested that this reality series will act as a springboard for her runway aspirations. *Find the full interview in Sunday Mirror's Notebook magazine. *Meet Princess in person at a meet and greet event at Superdrug in Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, at 1pm tomorrow.

Meghan Markle stuns fans with pricey new lifestyle product range

Meghan Markle has unveield the newest range of lifestyle products with her brand As Ever, shocking many royals fan with the limited availability and outrageous prices. Meghan Markle has officially unveiled the latest drop from her luxury lifestyle brand As Ever, with many of her loyal fans shocked at the inflated prices and availability of her second brand launch. The Duchess of Sussex's second launch includes a selection of new food items, including a swanky apricot spread, a limited edition orange blossom honey, and a brand new Rosé wine, marking her foray into the world of alcoholic drinks, reports the Mirror. ‌ The 2023 Rose, which hails from the vineyards of Napa Valley, California, will be sold on As Ever from July 1, with Meghan's eager fans excited about their new summer tipple. As well as a range of new products, various fan favourites have been restocked - including the flower sprinkles, crepe mix, herbal teas, and shortbread cookie mix. ‌ While some royal watchers are buzzing with excitement over Meghan's latest line of summer goodies, others have been left scratching their heads by the price. Meghan is flogging orange blossom honey for a whopping $28 (£21), while a pot of apricot jam in her now-trademark 'keepsake' jar will set fans back $14 (£10). International fans have also been let down by the release, as the products are only available for shipping within the United States. The Duchess first teased the sweet treats on her lifestyle brand's Instagram earlier this week, writing in the caption alongside a picture of a stack of pancakes: 'Oh yes, honey …sweet things await. We're bringing back your favorites, plus some delicious surprises you won't want to miss!' In a newsletter to fans, she said: "First off, a sincere thank you for making the debut of As Ever absolutely extraordinary. We had a feeling there would be excitement, but to see everything sell out in less than an hour was an amazing surprise. "We are pleased to share that on June 20th, we're going live with the products you love – plus, some new delicious surprises," adding that "so much love has gone into this". ‌ The new release of the new products come after Meghan revealed that she would be focusing more on her lifestyle brand, and not renewing her podcast for a second season any time soon. Speaking candidly on the Aspire podcast with host Emma Grede, Meghan acknowledged "that there is so much excitement and desire for another season" of the podcast, but added, "I need to focus on my business. People seem to forget that very rarely do people see everything that's happening behind the scenes." In addition to Meghan's podcast and lifestyle brand, she is also working on a second season of her Netflix show - With Love, Meghan - which is expected to premiere later this year. Joking with podcast host Emma Grede, Meghan said: "At a certain point, the only thing I want spread thin is my jam."
