Jazeera Airways First Direct Flight to Budapest Takes Off
Jazeera Airways today started its direct service between Kuwait and Budapest, Hungary. The twice-weekly flights mark the first-ever non-stop air connection between the two countries, opening up exciting opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, and H.E. András Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary to Kuwait, were onboard the inaugural flight, which featured a celebratory send-off for all passengers and included a unique souvenir boarding pass presented to the first passenger checked in.The new route, welcomed by Budapest Airport and supported by Visit Hungary, offers travelers from Kuwait easy access to one of Europe's most charming capitals, rich in history, architecture, and thermal spas.
Passengers can now book flights via the Jazeera Airways website, mobile app, or call center at 177. Jazeera Airways also offers a range of fare bundles, products and services as well as connections beyond Kuwait to destinations across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa.

Visa appoints Tareq Muhmood as Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa
Visa (NYSE: V) today announced the appointment of Tareq Muhmood as Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA). In his new role, the established Visa leader will be responsible for leading operations across more than 86 innovative and fast-growing markets. Jazeera Airways Restarts Direct Flights to Abha
Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost carrier, is resuming direct flights to Abha, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, starting 15 July 2025. The seasonal route will operate three times a week until the end of September 2025, providing a convenient connection for travelers from Kuwait and across the region to one of Saudi Arabia's most scenic and culturally rich as the 'Bride of the Mountain,' Abha offers a unique summer escape with cooler temperatures ranging between 25–30°C, a vibrant cultural heritage, and picturesque mountain landscapes. DP World International League T20 and Kuwait Cricket Board enter strategic partnership for growth of the sport in Kuwait
The DP World International League T20 and the Kuwait Cricket Board have entered an exciting partnership for the growth of the sport in Kuwait. Through the partnership the DP World ILT20 will organise cricket matches in the country which will be aimed at identifying and developing the participating agreement between the Kuwait Cricket Board and DP World ILT20 was inked at a signing ceremony organised recently at the Dubai International Stadium. As per the agreement, a domestic event like the DP World ILT20 UAE Development Tournament, will be conducted annually in Kuwait to provide the players from Kuwait an opportunity to get selected by ILT20 franchises for the main DP World ILT20 event. In the coming years, the league will also aim to host DP World ILT2o matches in Kuwait. Chairman ILT20 and Vice-Chairman Emirates Cricket Board Khalid Al Zarooni: 'We are very proud to announce our collaboration with Kuwait Cricket Board as they join our league [DP World ILT20].
