Both Fever guards Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham are expected to make their comeback after both being absent for two weeks due to injuries. Clark had been recovering from a strain on her left quad that she endured during the Fever's last game with the Liberty on May 24, while Cunningham was out due to an ankle injury she got during a preseason game against the Atlanta Dream.
IndyStar sports journalist Chloe Peterson posted a video to X of the Fever practicing this afternoon, with the caption "CC and Sophie Cunningham working in practice once again. DB is out again today for personal reasons."
According to Fox Sports, WNBA veteran DeWanna Bonner missed Friday's practice session, and Fever head coach Stephanie White said that "she doesn't anticipate that the forward will be with the team for Saturday's matchup."
Peterson reported that she has been out due to personal reasons.

"Was DB out yesterday too?" one fan asked on X. "Hope all is well."
One user simply wrote, "Prayers for DB."

Since joining the Fever in February via free agency, Bonner quickly made history by becoming the third all-time leading scorer in WNBA history. Though her scoring started slow, with just eight points across her first three games, Bonner bounced back with a 21-point performance against the Washington Mystics. Through nine games, she's averaged 7.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
Fans can watch the Fever go against the Liberty on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Sophie Cunningham slams WNBA treatment of Fever guard Caitlin Clark
Superstars in the sporting world are treated differently from their colleagues. Fair or not, it is just the way the world of sports works. They get scrutinized, treated differently by refs, treated differently by fans, and ultimately receive special treatment, sometimes in negative and positive ways, from opposing teams. Caitlin Clark is a certified superstar and the face of the WNBA, which subjects her to all of the above. Most recently, things got testy in the Indiana Fever's WNBA game against the Connecticut Sun, and tempers flared around Caitlin Clark. In response, Clark's teammate on the Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham, leaned into being a force of backup for Clark as she was seemingly fed up with the treatment that the star guard was receiving. She spoke up to the media about the unfair treatment Caitlin Clark is getting from the WNBA. "During that, it was just part of the game. I think the refs had a lot to do with that. It was a build of for a couple of years now of them just not protecting, you know, the star player of the WNBA. So, at the end of the day, I'm going to protect my teammates. That's what I do, and I'm a team player," Cunningham said. Since the spat against the Sun, the Fever dropped their most recent game to the Golden State Valkyries to drop them to 6-6 on the season. Cunningham's defense of Clark has proven to excite fans of the WNBA and the Indiana Fever. Her jersey has since sold out on the Indiana Fever's official team store, while her social media followings have exploded. "I'm not gonna play perfect for 44 games," the second-year guard conceded at Fever practice. "I didn't play very well at Golden State, and to me, I wasn't defeated after the game." In an attempt to turn things around ahead of a huge matchup with the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, Clark made a noticeable change involving someone very close to her. "Bella is coming back for round 2," said a popular comment on the team's Instagram post. "the bellas!" another exclaimed. "CC needs to retire the shoes she wore in San Francisco," added one fan. "The bellas 😍" said a comment. "I kinda think The Bellas are the official 22 lucky shoe," one reply said. "Bring back the Bella's tmrw," urged another fan. The shoes feature a printed image of the Clarks' family dog, a golden retriever. She joked with the media that her teammates thought Nike used a stock photo, but it was a real image of her beloved dog on the insole. The shoe's tongue is pink to match. She did not wear them against the Connecticut Sun or the Valkyries this week. Whether or not she goes with them on Sunday against the Aces, fans were excited to see the personal touch return to the court with the Fever star.
